Capt. Jeff Salter run's his 32' twin diesel sportfisherman the "Lady Helen" out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The exciting world of deep sea fishing lies only 1.5 miles off Ft. Lauderdale's beach. Capt. Jeff offers private fishing charters (meaning no others will be added to your trip) He welcomes all anglers regardless of prior fishing experience. Children are also welcome and are encouraged to participate. The Lady Helen has rest room facilities and is equipped with full safety equipment.

Excellent trip
My grandson and I booked the 6 hour trip
Within the first 20 minutes we pulled in a black fin tuna and then later in trip we hit and successfully pulled in sail fish!
Steve (Captain) and Austin (mate) were very informative and very engaging!
I highly recommend them!

Had a great day in bumpy conditions. Put 9 keeper Blackfin Tuna on the boat with 1 throwback Mahi on a 4 hour trip. The mate Austin was very friendly and keen to share his knowledge. Highly recommend this boat and crew.

Absolutely awesome experience and the highlight of our drive down the coast. My husband read the reviews online and booked us for a morning run out. We arrived around 7:30-7:45am and were on the water by 8am. We spent about 2 1/2 hours rolling to some of the spots they knew well. A couple of kingfish and a few others (don't ask me I'm just there to catch them all). The entire morning was relaxing, fun and filled with great conversation.
The Captain Jeff pulled out the kite and I have to say this has been on my bucket list for a long time. I've always wanted to see it done live and in person. What an amazing experience. I was able to catch a couple of great fish as they put the kite out. But unfortunately for us we had to pull it back in about 20 minutes in due to a storm rolling in super fast. I plan on doing this again though I would love a catch and release for a sailfish. Dave was amazing and kept us going non stop and gave us breaks when needed. He was just awesome and fun to chat with.
My husband was a good sport (seeing as my fish were bigger and better eating than his) and that made the trip for me! :) 4 hours was awesome but next time I'll try to book a couple of days maybe a morning and then a different afternoon. So much fun!! I can't wait to come back.
The awesome thing is the guys recommended we filet one of the fish up to take up the dock to a restaurant that would cook it right up for us. So that is exactly what we did...you can't get any fresher than that...what an awesome recommendation!

What an experience! Jeff and Ted and such great people. They worked so hard to get us fish! We caught Baracuda and Mahi. They used various bait and techniques. Jeff filleted the fish for us expertly and we took it to Southport Raw just down the road for them to cook it! Can’t wait to come back and bring the kids!

any time my friends and i travel to florida we have gone out of our way to fish with the lady Helen ,Capt Jeff always works hard to put us on the fish and mate Ted is very nice and knowledgable about fishing.we have been going to Capt Jeff for over 10 years and will continue to use him in the future.

Capt. Jeff and his first mate are very kind and great to spend a day at the sea. We has a blessed weather and fun catches. Will definitely book another trip with them and if you are in the Fort Lauderdale area and enjoy fishing... this is the crew you want to have for that trip.

Took my daughter out for her first deep sea fishing experience and couldn’t have asked for a better trip! Captain Jeff and First Mate Ted were incredible. Very knowledgeable and professional. They took the time to explain everything they were doing and why. They let us be as hands on as we wanted and made the experience for my daughter awesome! She is now hooked on deep sea fishing. I will definitely be calling on the Lady Helen Fishing Charter each time I am in the area. Thank you Capt. Jeff and First Mate Ted!

Went out today with my son. We took the 6 hour trip. Very professional experience. Clean comfortable boat. And Captain Jeff did an awesome job of getting us on the fish! We caught a nice Wahoo and got into a frenzy of Mahi Mahi feeding. We landed 13. Very exciting and fun. I highly recommend Lady Helen!

AMAZING day out on the water! My family had so much fun with Captain Jeff and his very skilled First Mate Ted on Lady Helen Charters. My brother wanted to go deep sea fishing for his 16th birthday. He was so excited to catch soooo many awesome fish including a 22 lb mahi mahi and a cool barracuda. Ted was an excellent teacher and Jeff did a great job taking us out in deep waters to find schools of mahi. Thanks for a perfect day!!

My husband and I went on the 6 hour trip with Captain Jeff and Ted. It was a wonderful experience and we caught 15 mahi mahi!! Jeff was friendly, knowledgable, and worked hard. We would recommend everyone to this charter and hope to come back again someday.

Hello, does this company only do 'private charters' as the price seems to be US$400. so this means I get the whole boat to myself? do they also do shared charters?

Yes, the 1/2 day (4hr) trip rate is $400. 3/4 day (6hr) $500. Full day (8hr) $650. This price is for a private trip for up to 4 persons. If you are one person than yes, you would have the whole boat to yourself. There are no other added charges.
