It seemed to be desert on my visit

It looks nice from the architecture perspective, but it seemed like a ghost town. I am not sure if it was because of the rainy day, but I dared to talk to some store clerks and I... read more

Tasteful, large rooms, with all business conveniences en suite. We stayed in the new tower. Business-Luxury. Walking through the original hotel we enter Las Olas Blvd with quaint boutiques, bakeries. Enjoyed spa services(excellent) and the relaxing river walk. Hardworking restaurant staff served delicious breakfast on the Boulevard. We felt a real sense of community with a competitive marathon running by.... More

Riverfront is like the heart of downtown fort lauderdale, there are plenty of restaurants, cool bars and shops.

I was around for when the first brick was laid, then did live remotes on WPLL and WINZ with my radio show (the Liz Wilde Show) at several of the venues here. It was booming and bustling with life, action, art, and great food. We regularly ate at Pink's and friends worked at the gallery and a couple of the... More

Not the Riviera but still a quiet, pleasant walk along the riverside. Some shops, bistros but also empty rental spaces. A river taxi is a pleasant diversion - start at one end, do a walkabout and grab the taxi to return. A drink along the way is a requirement! Not for really hot days, but otherwise...

It's run down now. Needs a huge facelift. There doesn't seem to be any money flowing into this property or if it is the owners are not reinvesting it into the property. When it first opened it was great. The restaurants and the bars were always packed. Maybe they increase rent, but it's a dump now. We used to chill... More

It looks nice from the architecture perspective, but it seemed like a ghost town. I am not sure if it was because of the rainy day, but I dared to talk to some store clerks and I was informed that the place will be relocated (renewed) so it all might come down in the next few years. If you have... More

Went there to check out how it has declined. The only shops there were a Segway rental shop, a pizza joint that wasn't open at 2:30 PM when I was there, an art gallery that was closed, and a tour boat that takes you around the Fort Lauderdale waterways. The second floor is blocked off and the escalators have been... More

Parts of the riverfront are vibrant and other parts need to be totally redone. The area is beautiful, the water sky and palm trees make south Florida what it is, but there is a lack of parking, and a lot of vacant buildings. This could be a wonderful spot, needs to be redisgned

When I lived in Ft. Lauderdale 10 years ago this was on of the places to go in the evenings. We were just back visiting for a weekend and stopped by here and it looks really run down. There are no shops and just a few restaurants there now. This is where the riverfront cruise leaves out of, but I... More

10-15 years ago, this was the place to go in Fort Lauderdale. The area was busting full of stores, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and street entertainers. It's basically a deserted destination now. If you aren't going to Tilted Kilt or Briny's, then don't bother. Saturday night at 11pm it was like a ghost-town. I remember going there and not being able... More
