We visited Miami over the Xmas break, two families with kids plus grandparents. Were looking forward to the Everglades Holiday Park airboat tour and enjoyed it, but it was not as great as we expected.

It was a busy day so we stood in line for about half an hour to get tickets. The place is well organized with parking, restrooms, benches etc. The price was relatively high but included a family picture just before the tour, which is a nice souvenir.

The tour itself was about an hour. Most of the time it was loud, we had to use earplugs. We could not hear the tour guide's explanations well, and anyway did not have direct contact to ask him questions. There was also no time for questions at the end, we had to leave quickly so the next group could board the boat.
That sent us to Google, where we learned that the big canals were actualy dug in order to drain water away, not to bring water to agricultural fields as the tour guide said.

The airboats make a loud noise and strong wind, and it was not nice to see them going close to beautiful birds nests, that was very disturbing for the birds.
We only saw a couple of aligators and they were small. Exciting enough for the kids but not amazing.

The gator show was also not so exciting, as the guy mostly stood there and talked. The kids lost interest and wanted to leave before the show ended.

Overall- good experience, good people, well organized place. But not amazing and not great value for the high price.

We really enjoyed the airboat ride at this tourist factory things run very smoothly and we were on the boat within 45 minutes if arriving. If you buy tickets online, you get two free photos, one with the baby gator. The airboat ride was full of gator sightings and funny lines from the captain. The gator boy show after the ride was kind if cheesy, but only lasted 30 minutes. A good 1/2 day was had by all.

At $34 per adult and $22 per child (ages 3-11), this place isn't cheap. However, it's one of the better deals around as the hour-long airboat ride also comes with a short 15 minute show and 2 free printed photos with a baby alligator.

The airboat ride is fun. This is one of the only places I've seen where the airboats are actually covered, providing some shade on those super sunny days. The boats seat up to around 20 people though. So, they could get crowded and you may not get a great seat on the side for prime gator viewing.

On our trip, we saw one gator in the first 40 minutes and then another 8 in the remaining 20 minutes. Our captain, Rocky, was personable enough though he heavily favored the left side of the boat where he sat, and folks on the right side got very little opportunity to get up close and personal with the gators.

In addition to alligators, we also saw ospreys, iguanas, an armadillo, egrets, and other birds.

The show was okay - definitely not the highlight of the visit, but a reasonably entertaining talk where you learn more about alligators and their rescue program.

This was our 3rd airboat tour in the Everglades and our first with Everglades Holiday Park.

We were disappointed with the boat we were assigned to. The front plexiglass windshield was completely hazed over from the sun. We could not see out the front of the airboat.

We never went more than 1/2 mile from the dock and just let the wind blow us around in circles.

Our boat broke down about midway through the tour and we had to wait for another airboat to come and get us.

The tour guide was good, but it certainly wasn’t worth $35/person, when compared to our far better experiences with other airboat tour companies in the Everglades. .

I hope I got the name of the captain right, because he was awesome and that's what it takes to make a crowded tourist attraction in the Florida heat worth it. I assume, economic reasons are to blame for the huge crowd (forget even an idea of social distancing). While under construction and very busy, there must be a better way. Their prices are good, boats are great, captain Chino is awesome, and gators make number of appearances. However, we didn't get to see the show included with our paid admission, because even a thought of standing in line again started to give us an anxiety. Btw, we called ahead to see how crowded it is and if we should buy the tickets on line. A young lady on the phone encouraged the in-person ticket purchase and told us that was a "less busy" time. Makes me wonder, how bad is the crowd when they are actually busy?!

The place is nice but it is ridiculously over priced. I guessed its priced for the tourists because as a local, EGP crazy if you think I'm gonna pay $40 plus tax pp for a 45 min animal encounter when i can do sooooooooo much more with my $120 at the Miami Zoo. Good job on helping Autism Awareness month since you want to be called a sponsor with you soooo attractive pricing.to make people come.(sarcasm)......What a joke.

I've been here twice. The first time they went all over looking for gators. The second time they stopped the boat multiple times and kept saying they didn't see any and tried to entertain us with other stuff. They definitely didn't gator hunt as much as they did the first time we went a couple years ago. It was disappointing since we had out kids with us this time. After the boat tour you get to watch a Gator Boys show. My kids enjoyed that.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your business and that you came by for another visit. That means so much to us. We are so happy to hear that your kids enjoyed the show! Seeing kids have fun, while learning, is the absolute best. We are sorry to hear that the wild alligators seemed to be playing a bit shy that day. Our boat captains do their best to get you in front of everything they can on your tour, but sometimes nature doesn't want to cooperate. We appreciate your understanding and hope you will visit again in the future. You and your kids might really enjoy one of our private boat tours. Message us anytime with questions or any additional feedback you would like to offer. info@evergladesholidaypark.com

The airboat tour is an excellent way for the whole family to have an initial taste of the Everglades! (Ask for Captain Babyface).

Keep in mind this is a “tourist trap” so you will experience large crowds of people lining up for tickets, scheduled airboat tours and the gator show at the end! Grab you free family baby alligator picture and you’re all done!

Here’s my observations - get there early for the morning sun and not the afternoon heat. You’re also set to avoid the crowds too! The site is currently under development so lots of construction but, show up, go with the flow and don’t rush yourself after the airboat tour. If you miss the gator show, simply line up and and catch the next one.

Take cash for tips. Always nice to tip your tour guide but it’s especially nice to tip the guys doing the gator shows! (They don’t get paid at all). The gators are rescues and if you catch the Instagram stories, they have many educational backstories.

All in all, a great family experience for those new to the glades or just want something different. Thank you all!

We visited today and are completely disappointed. We were told the wait for an airboat tour would be 35 minutes but it ended up being 105 min. We were in danger of missing our flight so we asked for a refund and were only given back $59 (out of $179 paid). This was for the alligator show that we didn’t want to see but were told we had to or we’d wait even longer for the airboat. The show performer repeatedly said he was a volunteer and not paid for the show and only works for tips, so I’m not sure if he was lying or the park was. There is no way the show should have been more than the boat ride. It was about 15 minutes while the boat ride was supposed to be an hour. I feel that this is completely ridiculous. AVOID THIS PLACE

My family and I did a day trip to Everglades Holiday Park this week and it was awesome! We we're lucky enough to ride with Swamp Thing. He was very knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife, and the plants. We learned so many interesting things - like which trees to stay away from for fear of bodily harm and which trees can literally save your life.

Though it was a, relatively, chilly day we did get to see some alligators on our trip. When Swamp Thing tells you he can attract alligators by mimicking the sound of a baby alligator he is NOT lying. We had two follow our boat around while he was making that sound.

The alligator show afterwards with Chris was entertaining and educational. My whole family really enjoyed it!

Five stars and would definitely recommend to anyone in the Ft. Lauderdale area!
