Just there last night for an intimate radio play evening at the Abdo Theater - great performance, intimate environment, friendly staff. Other theaters there hold many hundreds and several thousand for major concerts, Broadway shows and world class performers. Parking is a premium issue and if you don't want to Valet you may need to walk a block or two.... More

This is our second visit to the wonderful venue. Saw "Newsies" last year and the Symphony of the Americas yesterday. The parking is very handy although a bit pricey. The staff (volunteer ushers) are so pleasant and pleased that you are there. Acoustics are excellent! Do yourself a favor and arrive early for a performance and walk down to the... More

Beautiful center, very clean, friendly staff. My favorite thing about this venue is that the rows are short, with easy access to aisles, making it very comfortable for entry and exit. (Unlike some theaters where the rows are very long and you feel 'stuck' unless you are very close to the end, and you also have many many people trying... More

The staff was welcoming and helpful. I just wish that there were more places to sit while you wait for the show to start. My mom couldn't walk around too much and wanted to sit near the door closest to our seats. There were only two chairs there. Parking is very close and average price. Cash only for the show... More

I have been a Broadway season ticket holder for almost 10 years. Moved seats (closer) 3x and now sit lower left orchestra. The upgrades over the years have all been for the better. Enjoy the Intermezzo Lounge every now and then. Also check out Slow Burn Theater the local actors are amazing!

Very clean and updated. Tickets are a little pricey, but you will have a good experience. From orchestras to comedians this place puts on a lot of good acts. National acts too. This is in the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale too. Walking distance from great bars, restaurants, and parks.

I have attended several Broadway shows and speaker series here. From Phantom of the Opera to Cirque du Soleil. I love coming here! Not only is this close to home I have gotten to see my favorite Author, Deepak Chopra! I take my mom here and she always asks me what are we going to see next. Motown show was... More

We attended a Saturday matinee for the musical about Carole King. We sat in the left orchestra and had a good view of the stage. The musical was excellent. Parking was available closeby and valet is available at the theater. This is a nice theater and I only wish I lived closer to attend all the different programs that they... More

We visited here 18 months since our last visit; this time to see the Carole King Beautiful Musical - part of the Broadway Theatre season offerings. Availability of tickets for any day was almost sold out for every night. Ended up sitting this visit in the balcony for a more reasonable seat charge ($67.50 each); but the seats were still... More

We recently saw our third show the Performing Arts Center's Au Rene Theater. All were touring productions of Broadway shows. The Au Rene, notably unlike West Palm's Kravis Center, has excellent acoustics and sight lines along with comfortable seating. Bathrooms are a bit problematic, particularly the limited facilities for women - expect long lines there. A lobby bar offers the... More
