We had a wonderfully windy day and sailing on the catamaran was a huge thrill! Anthony is a great captain and shared highlights of the trip and instructions on sailing. The catamaran was so comfortable cutting through waves and speeding up with the wind. The family loved sitting on the trampoline at the front.

From start to finish my parents and I had amazing time sailing. John was our captain who was not only personable but taught us a little bit about the history of Amelia Island and of sailing itself, which was great!! He was a complete gentleman the entire time and refilled our drinks whenever needed and also unfortunately when it started raining was a true gentleman and making sure that we got back safely and as dry as possible. I would highly recommend Tony , John and the rest of this sailing company to anyone that goes to the area.

Captain Tony was an excellent guide and gave us a great sail, despite tough weather conditions. The boat is clean and safe and is very comfortable for up to six people. I hope to go out again next time I am in Fernandina Beach!

It is really hard to rate our trip accurately - a severe storm blew through as were leaving port on the cat, thus we were limited to simply motoring and sailing around the same channel we started in the entire time we were out (and through the severe storm). It is possible we had an entirely different experience than most due to the bad weather; however if this is the case, then why didn't they cancel or reschedule our trip as the storm HAD to be on the radar? Canceling, providing a refund, or rescheduling was never mentioned.
In addition:
1) There were no snacks or drinks offered - not even water.
2) There was no music or offer for us to put on our own music.
3) Outside of pointing out two horses on Cumberland Island, we received no information, conversation or background on the area whatsoever.
My husband sails and we have been on many cat excursions in the Caribbean and in other areas in FL; we have never been on one where not even WATER was offered. We both felt as though we didn't get our $$'s worth and wouldn't recommend this tour or do it again.

I took the combined 101/103/104 course from Windward and cannot say enough good things about it. The instructors were helpful & knowledgeable, the boats well kept, and I felt as though I was learning every moment I was there. Beyond that, when looking at comparable courses, Windward's is quite affordable.
In all, I recommend this company for those learning to sail, and I plan to return in the future for further training & experience.

Windward, forward and fun! Captain Benny guided us on a delightful 3 hour tour for four of us. Much of the trip was relaxed, calming and peaceful. However, even when the boat leans at a 45 degree angle (Pardon the non-nautical term) his reassuring words actually made it exciting as in "Disney-style" thrilling!
The day was very hot.
Water was available.
Definitely recommend at least the two hour; three was better.
We have lived in Florida for only 22 years; however, this vantage point was gorgeous and the view spectacular too!
Thanks again Benny!

Captain Coleman is a seasoned professional who knows sailing extremely well. The trip was perfect: fun, flexible, and entertaining. He trusted us to take the helm for a while. I highly recommend Windward.

We booked the catamaran for 10 people (3 families with grandparents, parents and children). This is our second time going out with Captain Tony (3 years ago) and we loved it so much, we wanted to repeat. We were lucky enough to arrange a sunset cruise last week for 2 hours. The boat was as nice and clean as before, the weather was beautiful and the sunset on the water was spectacular.

My family and I had a great time on the sunset cruise with Tony on his catamaran! Would recommend it to anyone interested. We saw dolphins and Tony shared his knowledge of the local area while my daughters enjoyed snapping many beautiful photos. Perfect weather and spot for a sunset cruise! Our 3-hour cruise was the perfect length. Was thinking that this cruise would be perfect for a small business networking group.

I can’t say enough about how much hubby and I enjoyed our afternoon on the catamaran with Captain Tony! We booked two hours, but 45mins in we wished we had more! Since he was free, Tony was happy to add an hour to our sail (and it was super easy to settle up with a credit card right there on the boat at the end of our trip). Beautiful weather, fantastic wind and waves. We have experienced sailboat charters before, but only mono-hulls. Wow, the catamaran is so much smoother, we loved it!!
We had already had an informative tour in the Amelia River (paper mill, the islands, Pippi house, etc), so Tony took us out to the mouth of the Atlantic. I had no idea that sitting on the cat trampolines could be so much fun in choppy seas- like a theme park ride!! But we had plenty of sailing time in calm water as well; so relaxing to just sit in the sun and appreciate the sound of the sails and the waves. And Tony was fun, interesting, kind, and knowledgeable. BEST THING WE DID in our vacation here, hands down. Beautiful experience.

What, if anything, could we do the weekend of March 31 for a party of 10 to 12 folks between the ages of 20 and 94. We will be celebrating my daughters 60th birthday.

Hi John-
I am assuming the 3 courses were to get ready for bareboat chartering? My wife and I are planning to do these courses with Windward in April, so any feedback would be great. Do you feel prepared to go on your own? Enough time "on the pond"?
Thanks
