Captain Alan not only knew exactly where to find the fish we were seeking (Shark, redfish, cobia, etc.) but he was also a great conversationalist. My Dad and I have been on many fishing charters over the years in different parts of Florida and the Carribbean but this trip easily took the cake. Alan will not only make you laugh hysterically, but he will show you the experience of a lifetime. My Dad and I caught 8 sharks (one 200 pounds) and a BIG redfish that put up a huge fight. We will definitely be back and if you are interested in fishing on Amelia Island, book AC charters.

Our Family went out with Captain Allen and Trent and had a great time. We caught many different types of fish abs Captain Allen and Trent worked hard all day to make sure we brought bigs ones on the boat. If you want to have a good time on the ocean make sure you book these guys. Can’t wait to do it again!

Incredible day fishing, Capt Allen knows exactly where to find bait and the fish you want to catch. He is all about the customer and the customer experience. Highly recommend, I’ll be back in a few weeks to fish with him again. I 100% got my monies worth. Thanks for the trip, can’t wait to be back!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I have hired several different deep sea fishing guides over the years when we come to Fernandina Beach for vacation but no one has ever been as good as Alan Mills and the Wahoo. Everything was first class from him and his first mate waiting on us when we arrived in the morning to him handing us the bags of fish he cleaned for us when we left. We will have fish in the freezer for a while! The bottom line is Alan knows where the fish are and knows how to catch them. We caught huge Red Snappers, African Pompanos, Mango Snappers and all types of beautiful good eating fish. It was obvious Alan loves fishing and loved seeing us catching fish.

My wife, her son and I had an excellent time fishing with Capt. Allen & Trent yesterday. We caught 3 big redfish, released them, 2 dusky sharks and a large ray that fought like mad. We highly recommend Capt. Allen and AC Charters, easily the best 4 hours we could have spent on a Saturday.

Captain Allen chose wisely not to take us (myself and my 3 boys) offshore on a windy morning. Bites were practically non-stop, with both small and large fishes of a dozen varieties. Small ones are croakers, pig fish, whiting, sea bass, and blacktip sharks. Large ones (10 lbs) include Southern sting rays, Atlantic sharks, bonnet head sharks, and a horseshoe crab! We also had near misses with 2 very large black tip sharks. To top these off, we saw a majestic SSGN sailing past Fort Clinch. Captain Allen clearly knows what he is doing, and my kids absolutely loved it.

My wife and I went fishing 3/15/2020 with Captain Al Great time Knew exactly where to set up. Caught black drum to 60+ lbs Very knowledgeable and a real gentleman. Don't hesitate to use him for any type of fishing in this area He was great

We went out with captain Allen twice this trip. Both days were fantastic. The first day we caught at least 15 barracuda, a 40+ pound black fin and some smaller fish. The second we each hooked a large shark. Exceptional service from an excellent captain. Definitely give him a try!

Booked months out. Originally booked for six people, asked if we could do seven. Captain responded with the type of boat so I assumed that was a yes. (I should have followed up better.) Week of I reached out because I never received info about where to meet. Got that info and the family showed up before 7 (we were never told for sure what time to get there). The captain was surprised and we learn at that time only 6 could go out. So we sent the kids (older teenagers/20 somethings) with them. The kids said the captain mentioned he only expected 2 people. I went and double checked the form he had originally responded to me with and there were definitely 6 selected. Not sure where that miscommunication happened.
All attendees were experienced with fishing and deep sea fishing. This is the first charter we have booked where we didn't get to cast, just reel in. The kids were disappointed.
Cool fish were caught, just not what we expected so if you book this one make sure you are clear on what is expected as we obviously were not.

What an awesome day! Captain Allen and Trent took great care of my family. They kept our boys engaged the entire trip, and kept the rod tips bending. Will fish again with AC Charters when we come back.

I want to take my husband deep sea fishing because he's never gotten to enjoy that experience...yet. I have, many years ago in the keys & it's an experience I've never forgotten. Anyway, I need to know how you handle sharks, if caught. I'm a shark fan! I'm terrified of sharks, but only because of the intense respect that I have for all of them. So, do you release sharks if caught? It's important to me before choosing a charter. Thank you.

We caught two smaller sharks on our charter trip and both were released. I would recommend asking Captain Allan directly and letting him know your preference ahead of time.
