What a fantastic experience. We did the combo tour of the mangrove and grassland air boat tours. The air boats are great fun and both the captains/drivers were entertaining, knowledgeable and knew how to handle the boat. Saw quite a few alligators, various birds and a bald eagle. The alligator sanctuary wasn’t up to much but if you hadn’t managed to see an alligator on your trip then you can see them here. My husband is in a wheelchair and these air boat tours are accessible as long as you can transfer from your chair to the seat. Would thoroughly recommend, my only gripe was that I booked all this on line months before as I wanted to ensure tickets and check that it was accessible, however, we could have bought tickets on the day, and it would have been $50 less for the combo tour for the two of us.

Going on an airboat tour was on my bucket list and this experience did not disappoint! Captain Jerry was amazing as he shared details of the environment and the animals that inhabit it. We were thrilled to zip through the mangrove tunnels and into the open lake areas. The tour was worth every dollar and we were sorry to see it end. I would highly recommend Captain Jack's Airboat Tours to anyone who wants to experience the Everglades.

This is our 4th time at Cap'n Jack's - we have done it alone and also with family, and each time we have been impressed by the ability of the captains to make the air boat trip so exciting. Cap'n Jack has trained his captains well - these are people who know their boats as well as the the routes that provide the most excitement. And of course the captains are much more than just great drivers, they also tell great stories: ours was also a part time python wrangler, which of course completely captivated our teenagers. We went to Wooten's afterwards (part of the ticket), and not only did the teenagers get to hold small alligators, but we also watched an alligator show that was quite educational and entertaining. Long story short: if you are in that area, it would be a shame to miss either one of these activities. And your kids will (may eventually) thank you.

We had a great time on the airboat tour. Our airboat driver, Al, made it really fun and was very informative at the same time. The ride itself is a blast plus we saw some gators up close and personal. Would highly recommend!

We had a great ride! Our pilot was very skilled, knew exactly what the boat was capable of, and could tell us a lot during the ride. We had a nice small group, only five passengers on the boat in total.
The pilots are in constant contact with each other, for safety purposes and to communicate where the gators are. It was big fun!

Excellent!!! Highly recommend!!! We took our 4 teenage boys and we all agreed that this airboat tour was the highlight of our vacation. Our guide (Calen) was absolutely fantastic! A lifelong resident of the Everglades, he had extensive knowledge of the area. He had us laughing, going at thrilling speeds, making a point of searching for the alligators and making sure we were comfortable. If you can ask for him, you need to! We all thought he was incredible and SO fun!!!

Fantastic fun and informative trip. Easy to book and great value for money. We did the mangrove airboat trip where we had a speedy ride through the mangroves and got up close to some gators. Our guide was obviously incredibly skilled in driving the boat and gave some great facts about the wildlife that we saw. My daughters favourite part was seeing the baby pigs!! We also visited the sanctuary and found the talk given both entertaining and incredibly informative.

Not only was the ride fun but our boat guide explained a lot about the ecosystem and was excellent about spotting wildlife (alligator and bottle nose dolphin) and keeping our boat close to the wildlife. We also did the swamp buggy and had another fantastic guide. The alligator show and viewing area made Captain Jacks well worth it over any other air boat rides, plus we got to hold small alligators after the show. Kids and adults loved it.

We did the Combo Tour with Mangrove and grasslands airboats, swamp buggy, alligator show/ wildlife park. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, especially our captain for the mangrove tour. We were very lucky and saw several alligators, a couple of wild dolphins and some raccoons. the ride through the mangrove tunnels felt so fast- like a ride in Orlando- so much fun! The alligator show at Woottens, what we saw of it was entertaining if you like that sort of thing, and the rest of the animal exhibits looked a bit sad. All in all, we had a great day. Be warned- no food was available at either venue except crisps, chocolate and bottled drinks. We went into Everglades City to eat afterwards.

An Airboat ride is a "Must Do" in the Everglades and this company knows how to do it right. We went fast. We stopped short and splashed water. We saw a big, mean looking alligator. It didn't eat us. What more could you want besides and entertaining captain. We got that too. Great fun.

Which is the best tour to see some gators - maze or tunnel?
Written January 12, 2025
Ho prenotato la total Everglades combo. Vorrei sapere se è incluso anche il costo di ingresso al parco con l’auto .

We have two adults and two children (age 5 and 2.5). Is the tour safe for little ones?
Written March 13, 2021
I say yes. I saw a couple of young ones on the boats of similar ages. The parents kept them on the inside of the seats between them and no problem. They would like the zoo, especially holding a baby alligator!
