Good for a quick stop or boat ride. There is a gift shop and US National Park entrance. This is outside the park so there is no charge.

Nice air-conditioned break with lots of local biology info. The boat-trip was really good especially for birds (although many can be seen around the car-park area as well). The highlight of the boat ride were the dolphins, let me share some of the trill of...More

We stopped in here while we were waiting for our boat tour to start. Its part of the Everglades National Park. The displays are very cute and full of information. The ranger was friendly and helpful.

We were thrilled by the good promotion of wildlife in the 10 thousand islands park, were just in time for the boat to leave and so we enjoyed a 1.5 hr sea trip with dolphins, sea elefants, many fish and birds. Great tour

Some educational displays, NPS souveniers. Larger commercial souvenier shop downstairs. And restrooms, of course.

We stopped here to get some info on the boat tours. We were unfortunately rained out. The tropical storm was on the horizon and ruined our time. The ranger on duty was very helpful and friendly.

The centre is quite small so one has a few exhibits, but these are very interesting, excellent and informative. The staff are very helpful and gave us excellent advice on places to visit, also free!

No, I believe you can arrange canoe trips with the rangers (don't know if they are free). The 2 boat trips you can purchase from the concession store and they each cost around $40. Both of them are great value for money.
