Family, including 5 small children, took a one hour wilderness trip and everything was much enjoyed by all. Captain Todd was great as he made many spinning turns that everyone loved and he managed to find a 10+ foot alligator that we were able to get very close to as well as a baby alligator. He was also very informative of the wildlife, vegetation, history, etc, and we will definitely return again in the future as well as highly recommend the trip and Captain to any interested parties.

Fun Ride! I have never been in the Everglades or on an airboat and this was something on my "bucketlist". Being from Illinois, I was really looking forward to seeing some animals in the wild. Well, we all know wild animals do not always cooperate. We saw one bird. Bummer! With that said, the boat ride was thrilling and fast! It was quite fun and the scenery was beautiful! Mike our guide was a great, skillful driver with alot of corny jokes that made you laugh. I would do it again. The ticket included a wildlife scantuary visit which was very touristy, but some animals to see. Kids would love it.

We were pleased to find a big (holiday?) discount online for this airboat tour operation and made a reservation at the last minute as we traveled back from the East Coast along Alligator Alley. They have an excellent group of tour guides and we even had 3 of them on our solo ride as a new fellow was being trained. We look forward to returning with grandkids in tow. We opted for the "Wilderness" tour as opposed to the faster ride through the mangroves but were treated to a few spin-outs and taste of what the fast ride would be like. The only thing holding this back from an "Excellent" rating is there really weren't many animals though we realize this is just the luck of the draw. But a few alligators close by and the knowledgeable commentary about the history of the area and its mangroves made it a very good afternoon ride. We didn't have time to see their secondary location for the animals and boardwalk and were slightly confused when we saw another Jungle Erv site more downtown Everglades City but we followed their instructions as to where to start the tour. They have a nice little gift shop too but no food. Try the Subway at the Marathon for a fast bite.......it's right nearby!

We purchased tickets for our family, 4 adults and 2 children. The price for “Mangrove Airboat Tour” was $263.26. Our confirmation asked that we arrive 30 min. prior to the 2pm departure time. The only reason I booked here was that Captain Jacks and Wooten’s were fully booked (incidentally, we’ve had good experiences with both). I understand that all three companies are now under the same ownership.
Upon our arrival at Jungle Erv’s, we found the property to be in very poor condition. The single building was attended to by a single employee with zero personality. She informed us that they only had one operating airboat, and our scheduled ride would be delayed at least an hour or more. With 2 small children and our own plans for later in the day, the wait was impossible. The drive there and back had already wasted 90 min of our time. At this point, we asked for a refund, and the attendant said she needed to call the owner. The owner denied our request. We were forced to reschedule, but too late for my grandkids…they would not be with us.
There’s many layers to this negative review. The outside “seating area” where people can wait is mold covered and filthy. It consists of an old wooden bench, 2 discarded office chars, 2 mold covered lawn chairs and an overflowing ashtray. Why is there only one boat available when there are 3 locations under the same management? Why couldn’t I be informed earlier in the day that they couldn’t uphold their end of the reservation before we wasted 45 min. getting there. My phone # and email was clearly noted. The employee answer to these questions was “I’m only one person “. Not acceptable. So, we were forced to reschedule and find 4 more people to join us.
Upon return for our ride, my first impression was that the boat itself was old. The seats weren’t clean, vinyl torn in places. The “captain “ was personal and did provide an enjoyable ride highlighted by an alligator sighting.
In closing, if you’re looking for poor customer service, and a rundown location, Jungle Erv’s is a good choice. If you want better, try Captain Jack’s or Wootens. But, because they are all the same management, next time, I will be looking elsewhere. I owe my grandkids an airboat ride, and expect better and responsive customer service .

Do not recommend this place. We pre-booked the wilderness tours on what ended up being one of the coldest days the area has seen in 30 years. On top of that, it started raining when we showed up. You would think they would have some flexibility in letting us rebook but that wasn’t the case and on top of that the woman running the counter was very unpleasant. We didn’t want to lose our $500 so we went on the tour anyways. It was a miserable experience being out there in the cold rain, with nothing to look at but the mangroves. Fortunately for the company they seem to have some nice guides. He felt so bad that he wouldn’t accept our tip. I hope whoever runs the front desk can take some notes from their other employees. Recommend taking your business elsewhere.

We don't blame you for wanting to reschedule! That weather definitely would be unpleasant. We expect that ticketing staff would be more understanding, however rebooking is more difficult during busy times. We will send your feedback on to management.

The airboat ride was fine, guide was OK, the location did not have anything other than airboat rides, we had to drive 2.5 miles down the road to Wooten's to see and pet the baby alligators and see their "zoo". Wooten's was very disappointing. Also, the $10 coupon is just for their ultimate tour, we got $2.50 off per person on their regular airboat tour. The gift shop and restrooms were clean and the staff was pleasant.

Not going to lie it was kind of boring. We didn’t see any thing on the tours. The mangrove airboat tour and the grasslands airboat tour are THE EXACT SALE THING. Such a waste of money.
I also left in tears of the lion they had in a cage. It could barely walk or stand up and would fall when it tried. I tried to see if there was someone who knew something about it and not a single person could tell me who was it’s care taker. It was devastating to see.

Combo tours can provide a variety of experiences through the Everglades ecosystems. Our mangrove tour zips through the mangrove tunnels of Everglades City while the grassland tour goes through more open spaces (not just mangroves) on private land at a bit more leisurely pace.
We offer an animal sanctuary so our guests who were not so lucky to see alligators in the wild can enjoy and even interact with them. Our facilities for these animals are licensed and monitored by both the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Florida Fish and Wildlife, ensuring their proper care.

I have never written a review on trip advisor, but after our poor experience at Ervs, I felt compelled to tell people about our experience. There are so many airboat tours to choose from and we did Ervs. For two adults and two children, it was $180- which was normal for around there, but we DID NOT get what we paid for. First of all, we did the mangrove tour. We idled out to the mangroves for 15 minutes. The boat driver was definitely only a boat driver and not a tour guide. He gave no history or anything, but threw in a few jokes about his ex-wives. After 15 minutes of a no wake boat ride, we got to the mangroves. We went through the mangroves for about 20 minutes. The mangroves were cool, but like I said, it was 20 minutes. He only opened up the speed two or three times for about 30 seconds when we got into a wide area. WE then boated back the same 15 minutes with no wake back to the dock. It was basically a boring 20 minute mangrove tour. The boardwalk they claim to include is beyond repair and unuseable... I can't believe they are even advertising it as something of value. No one ever mentioned an alligator farm or directed us to it and we never saw it. So basically we paid 180$ for a 50 minute boring boat ride. The whole family was very disappointed!

We had such an awesome time on our airboat tour through Jungle Erv's! Our captain Dwayne made this experience so fun and was not only a great driver but was very knowledgeable about the area, teaching us and helping us to have fun along the way. We loved how each rider got to wear a set of headphones to communicate with both the driver and the rest of the group. The speeds of the boat were perfect in that I always felt safe, yet there were moments of higher speed that made all of us smile and laugh! The mangrove tunnels in which the tours take place are so gorgeous, as well as the pools of water where we were able to watch thousands of catfish. I highly recommend this tour company if you're looking for an enjoyable airboat experience. Thank you Jungle Erv's and Captain Dwayne!

I have taken an airboat ride numerous times with this company out of the Everglades City location and was always satisfied. There were no times suitable for my recent company’s schedule so I opted for the trip originating at the Tamiami Trail local. I also paid $5 more each, as it advertised 2 hour entertainment and a total time there of 2.5 hours. I’m sure the extra 1/2 hr allotted for the early arrival requested, and assumed the air at ride would be an hour plus( or at least an hour) , and another 45-60 minutes at alligator park. We were out on airboat 50 minutes, with at least 5 minutes spent sitting in boat talking while out on water. We saw a few birds, that I pointed out, but no wildlife. The animal preserve/ alligator park was sad, really sad. My guests said they had fun, but I was very disappointed. Not a good value for you money.

How much does the airboat tour cost? it's kind of hard to get a straight answer from some of the websites - they offer tours and packages, etc. We just want to know what to expect cost-wise for a family of five.

Yes I see that there was no pricing available on their website,It was pricey.Lots posted everywhere about tipping, I thought that was not very friendly of them.I imagine they all charge closely the same. We took both tours and enjoyed both.Your guide can make the difference. One was very personable. The other not so much. Hope you enjoy your adventure.

When you slow you went slow and fast....do you mean one of the tours the airboats goes slower than the other tour? (Mangrove Canopy and Wilderness)?

As far as I know, all the airboats operate the same. The boat travels at various speed throughout the trip. Front seats seem the most vulnerable to splashing or water wash, but all in all, we didn't get very wet.

Do you have an age minimum for rising the airboat tours? I have a toddler we would like to bring and trying to find the best option. Also, what is your policy on pregnant women? My doctor is fine with my going but I know different companies have different policies. Thanks!

We had no problem with the toddler issue - think 2 year old. Not sure why pregnancy would interfere with the ride - more like an amusement park ride than an educational ride. Be warned - very noisy but they provide hear phones to cancel out the sound. Toddler may need ear plugs!

About an hour from Daniels & I-75 intersection. I would recommend wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
