Our guide Don showed us a fantastic Time and was super informative about the flora, fauna and all wildlife in the area. He was professional and fun! Made sure we took time to see the local gators as well! Great trip!

I spent the morning kayaking through the mangrove tunnel with our excellent guide Don. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this incredible ecosystem. He will take the time to stop and tell you about the beautiful plant life (red mangroves, flowering orchids, bromeliads, Spanish moss, etc...) and wait for you to get your perfect snapshots. We encountered multiple gators, birds, and butterflies. We got to witness a large bull gator loudly bellowing out as a warning to other local gators. An amazing territorial display. There is a reason they call it the mangrove “tunnel”. We spent a fair amount of time with our oars down, using our hands to pull ourselves through the tight root system. If you’re looking for some adventure in the south western Everglades. Look no further.…

Don is easily one of the most knowledgable flora and fauna experts I have ever encountered. While kayaking the Turner River (while the water levels were super high), he taught us everything from the habits of night scented orchids to the variety of mangroves that grow in the area. While we only saw one alligator on the tour due to conditions (one is still super cool!), Don pointed out where the regular reptile residents usually make their home and/or nests. The most memorable part of the tour was when we had to put the paddles down and navigate by gently using the mangrove roots to steer with our hands. Don was also super mindful of best health habits, and wore a mask while we were on land and interacting with one another. He also informed us about where we could find restrooms and facilities needed to be prepared. My husband and I can't wait to go back in the cooler season to see how the area has changed. Thanks again!…

Had a fantastic time. Don pointed out a ton of flowers and animals and we were fortunate enough to have a few alligator sightings. Would gladly go again. Using the kayaks was really easy, which was good because we had a mix of experience across the 5 of us.
