We took our mountain bikes on the trails and only passed a few walkers. Bikes are not allowed according to the signs. This is a very hilly park. The trails are about 75% shaded. There aren’t many sandy areas. There was a creek we passed. We parked at the trailhead by using google maps. It’s free.

Best hiking in Lake County!

My children and I have enjoyed this hiking trail many times, it is a true gem!! It is a moderate trail, so bring your comfortable shoes, sunscreen and natural bug repellent. The creek running through the trail is a nice surprise.

Lots of paths and great views. We get good exercise and my 5yr old loves exploring around the beautiful creek with flowing water.

Local Nature preserve

What’s not to like? Nothing. The place is awesome and just down the street. Flowing creek, a big pond, birds, butterflies. Etc.
The trails are well marked and most are in the shade. You could spend several hours exploring or just run around the outside trail to get your fitness on.

Hidden gem in Lake County
Oct 2017 • Couples
Hidden Waters is one of those places I wish more people knew about, except that then it wouldn't be such a treasure. It is an unusual site with criss crossing trails and a beautiful little creek that can range from a trickle to a surprisingly quick-flowing body of water. We like to bring our Publix subs and hike these trails while we eat. Lots of gopher tortoises. Orange trees with fruit that is good if it's ripe when you're there! Great for children if they potty before entering the park. No pets allowed.

Great place for a quick hike!

This truly is a hidden gem! I had driven by several times without realizing what it is. Someone told me about it, so I checked it out. And I'm glad I did! I love to walk the trails during the week after work. You can take a short walk or a nice long stroll. There's plenty to look at between plant and wild life. For me it's a relaxing place to walk, get exercise and decompress from a stressful day at work!
