Lata who teaches on Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun is excellent. She deserves a 10! She incorporates breathing and true yoga practices while getting a workout at the beach. I have trouble understanding and following her husband so I don't visit on those days. I'm trying to understand why there are not more reviews on any sites as she has hundreds of people there every day.

Beautiful setting with wonderful instructors. A pace that welcomes beginners as well as providing an excellent practice for the experienced. The instructors have a sound system so they are easily heard. Bring a sheet or large towel, no mat needed. Try it, you will be glad you did!

I'm so greatful to have beach yoga. I was going through depression and this is helping me see the light. The yoga instructors are amazing and it just feels so good. Do yourself a favor and come to beach yoga! <3

If you are near Englewood, Florida, you must try Yoga on the Beach ! The instructors, Lata, Robert and Chris are simply awesome! Even if you have never done Yoga before, just bring a beach blanket and enjoy an amazing, refreshing experience. All levels as well as people who have never done Yoga are welcome. See their sign in the Englewood Beach parking lot for times. They are there every morning, usually at 9am. I guarantee you will be glad you tried this! Parking is only a dollar. The class is free, but donations are accepted. There will be a beach bag near the instructor where you can donate if you choose to. No one will judge if you don't, but you, like me, may just want to donate something to make sure this wonderful class continues to be available. Namaste!

I visit Englewood a few times a year to see family and discovered this am beach practice on my last visit. I just completed my 2nd round of am beach yoga with Englewood Yoga and am still so happy I found it.
It is suited for all levels and a great way to start your day with a great stretch, positive energy and a the beach. There are people who seem to be 90+ with limited mobility practicing along side teenagers and everyone is enjoying themselves. I have a regular intermediate yoga practice, but still enjoy this daily practice.
Whether you are a solid yogi or someone curious about trying yoga, it's worth a try.

There is nothing better than beach yoga! Sun salutations at 8 then beach yoga at 9. No better way to begin a Tuesday. Thurs. and Saturday. Wonderful instruction! You can even get tapes to take back up north. Thanks Lata and Robert

Lata and Robert are excellent yoga instructors. They each bring their own personalities as instructor, making every day a little different and fun. They are professional, motivating and encouraging. Highly recommend Yoga on the Beach! Don't be shy or intimidated! Everyone works to their own ability, and everyone is truly welcome.

If you are questioning whether to try yoga for the first time or if you're an experienced yogi this class will not disappoint. It's a rare opportunity for most people to practice yoga on the beach. Take advantage!
Lata and Robert do an excellent job of providing a well rounded class with guided instructions for all ages & experience levels. Adding the beauty & sounds of the beach certainly beings the practice to a new level.
The suggested donation of approximately $5 is a steal compared to a typical class rate of $15 you'll find at a yoga studio. Give it a try no matter your gender, age or experience!

Two months ago I was thoroughly out of shape and, at 59 years old, doubtful I could ever fix that. I was tired and weak and discouraged. I went into the Loving Light studio on recommendation of many local friends and consulted with Lata, who is the owner as well as an instructor. She encouraged me to try a 30 day challenge - yoga every day for 30 days - and set me up with a variety of gentle yoga, beach yoga and private instruction. I have never done anything more worthwhile. In just a week or two I was feeling better and I was hooked. After 30 days I was able to start taking some more advanced classes. Already my strength was greatly increased, my muscles more defined and useful. My flexibility improved markedly and I no longer had any joint pain. I've had three back surgeries, and was dealing with a badly-healed, badly-broken ankle and a stiff knee which was recovering poorly from ACL replacement and a meniscus tear and fracture. Lata and all of her instructors helped me practice yoga safely but still effectively. I'm now a size smaller and leagues stronger and happier. My ankle and knee no longer freeze up when I sit still for an hour or two and all aspects of life are easier and more fun. And in just two short months. I no longer take private instruction and the punch passes make my daily yoga practice affordable. There are plenty of classes to choose from, so I could fit my yoga practice into a very full time work schedule. Lata and her team of instructors offer classes and private instruction in general gentle yoga, yoga for wellbeing, restorative and yin yoga and yoga nidra, as well as Vinyasa, Hatha, Kundalini and infusions that combine yoga with other disciplines like pilates and Feldenkreist (I have no idea if that's spelled right!). Yoga is offered every morning all year on the beach and some evenings, too, as well as a full schedule of classes in the simple, tasteful and serene studio. Loving Light Yoga changed my life, pure and simple. I will be forever grateful!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We love what we do and we are in gratitude for the many people that we have the honor to have in our classes. In Peace, Lata

Drop on fee is $15.00 for the class (1.5 hours). You can purchase a punch card that is good for 10 classes for $110.00 or a monthly unlimited class card for $115.00. If you go to their website, they will have all of the information about the classes.
