WOW!!! Are we lucky to have these talented people perform in our community theater, or what!!!! Most of the cast I was familiar with from other plays, so it's no surprise that the acting was absolutely AMAZING!!!

This Neil Simon show is one of my favorite comedies and the cast headed by Jim Manns as Barney Cashman is fantastic! We also admired the talents of Casey Trascik who does an excellent job as Elaine Navazio, then we have Mariah Hilton who is wonderful in her role as Bobbi Michele and let's not forget the talents of Jenifer Lewis who plays an excellent role as Jeanette Fisher. The whole cast is to be commended, they really did an amazing job.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS THEATER AND PARTICULARLY THIS PLAY!!!!

By now everyone knows that I adore the intimacy of this little community theater. What always amazes me is the wealth of talent that we are blessed with and the performances of this latest play is the proof of that once more. Will Horton not only superbly directs, but also stars as the husband in this great comedy. Michelle Neitzel does a fabulous "Suzette" and Wendi Scianna also does an outstanding job as "Suzanne". I have to say what a wonderful surprise Ric Goodwin was in his role as Robert, it was perfect casting. Victoria Caruso and Robert McGinnis round out this great cast. It was such an enjoyable evening that my stomach still hurt from laughing the very next day!!! Tickets are selling like hot cakes, so my advice is to call as soon as you can and whatever you do, don't miss this great opportunity for an evening of laughter!!!

As a volunteer, I am entitled to see the dress rehearsal before the Grand Opening, which is tomorrow night (September 7).

I (as well as the other volunteers) can bring a guest, so the place was pretty full. I never expected it to be THIS FUNNY!!!!

The play is called EXIT LAUGHING, and I am telling you, I have a belly ache and cheeks that are sore because I just laughed throughout. It's absolutely HILARIOUS!!!

Director Peter Ivanov selected an OUTSTANDING CAST, consisting of Maureen Young, Ruth Shaulis, Susie Lowe, Dawn Kalish and Ray Magsby. When I say it was a laugh a minute, perhaps it was more like a laugh a second. I just absolutely loooooooved this play and will recommend it to one and all. No, sorry, it's really not suited for children.

Get your tickets before they're all sold out, and trust me, they will be!!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS THEATER AND THIS PLAY!!!!

Last night my good friend Tom and I attended the latest production at LEMON BAY PLAYHOUSE and once again they have a sure winner on their hands.

The title of the play is "OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS" and I tell you I laughed till my sides hurt, yet cried over some very emotional issues, truly exceptional acting!!! Personally Tom thought it was the best play he had seen at this little theater.

Directed by PETER IVANOV, who obviously chose an extremely competent and talented group of actors, this play is one of the best I too have seen in quite awhile.

The story is about a young man who visits his 2 sets of grandparents every Sunday for dinner, but when he announces he is moving away, they try desperately to set him up with a single girl so that he may choose to stay. Of course this is a very short synopsis of the whole thing.

JIM PARISI played one of the grandfathers (Frank) with such depth and emotion that he really had me in tears at times. His wife (Aida) is superbly portrayed by JUDY TILLEY, whose job (as an Italian wife) seemed to be to always provide FOOD and more FOOD to one and all. Great job she did too!

JACK RABITO greatly portrayed the other grandfather (Nunzio) who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, but is unselfish enough to NOT let the grandson know, lest this would sway him to stay just for that reason. His wife (Emma) is exquisitely played by GLORIA BANDY, realistically portraying the Italian wife. I loved their intimate interaction, particularly when they danced!

JESSE ROSENFELD is new to LEMON BAY PLAYHOUSE, but I for one, sincerely hope that he will return in many more productions. He was just AWESOME in the demanding role of the grandson (Nick). Another newcomer playing Nick's possible love interest (Caitlin) was quite sensitively played by KAYLA LOWE.

All in all, superb acting, great talent, lots of laughter and even some tears. This is one production that will not soon be forgotten!!!!

The new play OFFICE HOURS officially opens tomorrow night ( 1/18/17) but being a volunteer I had the privilege of seeing the second dress rehearsal of this play tonight and it was absolutely HILARIOUS!!!!

I laughed so hard - and don't we all need a little more laughter in our lives???

The acting was outstanding - this play had 11 actors, which was unbelievable for this little theater, but each and every one did an amazing job. Too numerous to mention I thought, but then again, I would be doing them a disservice if I did not take the time to name them.

BOB LA SALLE has 3 different roles (great job!), BRAD JENKINS has 2 roles and he too shines in both, RICK MOORE, another great actor who does a great job with 2 different characters, then there is GARY CRAIG also beautifully portraying 2 parts, and then we have TIM MCCONAGHY and JERRY ZEZAS, both doing a great job as Lloyd Penny and Artie Barnes respectively....and that's just the guys!!!!

We have several newcomers in the ladies department. Of course VICTORIA CARUSO and JUDY TILLEY are always welcome in plays at LEMON BAY PLAYHOUSE, because they add such substance to their roles.

All the other ladies were making their debut at our little theater, and they were l just fabulous! There was JOANIE ANTON, REBECCA CROSS and KATHI FAULKNER all doing a great acting job, and we could not be more pleased to have them.

Please get your tickets fast, since many nights are already sold out. (I know because I volunteer at the Box Office!)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLAY AND THIS THEATER!!!!

Our beloved Actress and Director Rita Corn was originally scheduled to direct this play, but her untimely death made the saying :THE SHOW MUST GO ON applicable here. Bob La Salle did an amazing job of directing a superb cast, starring Jim Walsh, Kim Fox and Mike Levasseur. "MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON'S" is a blast from beginning to end. I had a bellyache from laughing so hard. This show runs through Sunday, November 8, and for the unbelievable low price of $18.00 per reserved seat, you just can't beat that!!!

This 93 seat theatre has no bad seats. It is a quaint local playhouse which should be enthusiastically supported. The actors give their best efforts and it shows.

As stage manager of this fine production, I have seen it from the beginning - Director Gary Seddon took this gifted cast and allowed them to develop these very definite characters with patience and guidance. The four principles bring you a lovable character (Barney played by Jim Manns) who meets and learns from three totally different women (Casey Trascik,Mariah Hilton and Jenifer Lewis) during a midlife crisis. The laughter abounds in each scene yet there are life lessons to be learned. Every seat is a great place to view this entertaining story. So come join us through September 23!

My friends Leo, Tom and Cheryl all accompanied me to see the dress rehearsal of this play, so ably directed by Dr. Wil Horton.

I'll be honest with you, I was prepared NOT to like it when I had read a synopsis of this play, based on a true story. I could not have been more wrong. It had some hilarity, but the actors did not just act....they LIVED their roles....Amazing. They had me really crying, the emotions were so great. The whole cast is wonderful, but Gloria Bandy as Alice and Ric Goodwin as Hank just about tear your hearts out with their superb performances. Rebecca Cross, plays a double role here. First as a nurse, then as Darla, excellent! Wendi Scianna who plays Joy, the heart recipient, is at once vulnerable and yet understandably torn, very well portrayed. I also enjoyed Sarah Sita as the daughter Sammy, she's getting better with each play I've seen her in. Good job.
John T. Wyczlinski plays the heart donor, and acts mostly as a ghost throughout, so I could have done with less ghost appearances, but that's of course only my personal opinion.

All in all, an excellent play, with excellent acting....a MUST SEE!!!!
