The sunset tour with Lemon Bay tours last night was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend! We saw lots of dolphins, who swam with the boat and impressed us with their tricks. The captain was knowledgeable and made a point to spend extra time at the dolphin spots. The sunset was beautiful, too. The boat was not crowded. Overall, very relaxing, fun, and an experience I will remember! Take a tour with Lemon Bay tours!

We wanted a bigger boat for our boat trip while on holiday as out 3 year old is a bit scared of boats. Within a couple of minutes she became comfortable as Bruce’s smooth driving was rather relaxing. Lovely weather helped, but great sailing skills meant we were barely shaken at all.
We saw a bunch of varios birds expertly pointed and explaned to us, damage and repairs from hurricane Ian and a pelican who, fortunately, decided not to eat a dead fish. We saw no dolphins but Bruce seemed a lot more upset about it than we were. We had a great time!
My only suggestion would be is a tip bucket as we come out of the boat, as handing cash into hands feels a rather uncomfortable.

LBDT was AMAZING! We arrived, paid, and boarded the boat. The 40’ boat had plenty of room for everyone on board. We did bring snacks and some beverages (adult beverages were allowed, but I don’t recommend glass) which we enjoyed on our cruise around. We saw about 10 dolphins on the trip and were able to take some great pictures. A few even got up right next to the boat. Captain Nick and Christine told some great stories and always made sure we were having fun and were comfortable. The sunset at the end was beautiful as well! The kids not only got to see dolphins and the sunset but also got an opportunity to drive the boat! I can’t say enough about how great Capt. Nick and Christine were. This tour was well work the money and the time. We’ll definitely go on a tour again!!! See you again soon Captain!

Boat Captain Nick was very poor. He seems to think he is a stand up comedian telling endless not funny and some age inappropriate jokes.
He missed an opportunity to point out the sighting twice of a bald eagle, the bird rookery at the shore line, and shared a tale of fiction regarding a purported 1897 Vanderbilt home.
We had taken this sunset cruise in the past with a different captain who shared information about the wildlife, vegetation, and early Englewood history.

We've been on this cruise before but with a Captain that pointed out eagles, white pelicans, interesting homes with a history and dolohins by their names. We brought family with us to experience what we have many times previously and were very disappointed with a different Captain who took the floor for the complete 2 hour sail with stories about himself. We will go in a different tour the next time.

What a great, relaxing tour of Lemon Bay and the Gulf. Captain Nick and First mate Mark were awesome. We saw dolphins frolicking and feeding, saw some really cool houses and the sunset was absolutely perfect. Nick was full of knowledge about the area and the history was great. Fun time with freinds and it was super affordable! Can't wait to go again.

Captain Bruce is very informative, he knows the area well. Does a great job explaining and finding the highlights, like Dolphins, Bald Eagles and other sea creatures. The small cruise was entertaining and fun, highly recommend this.

Captain Nick guided us through Lemon Bay with appropriate social distancing and plenty of "bad" jokes. A great way to get out of quarantine on a beautiful evening. Not our first trip and certainly not our last. So reasonable and lots of dolphins added to the adventure. Very highly recommended!

Captain Bruce and crew are always fabulous. We go on a tour every year and always have a wonderful time. Today we did the nature cruise and saw so many dolphins, it was amazing. Even though we have seen them before, it is still magical every time. We also were able to see a bald eagle, pelicans, osprey, and many other beautiful wildlife on our tour. Capt Bruce had some interesting facts and stories to share about the local area and wildlife, and as always made sure we all had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour…best two hours enjoying all that beautiful Florida has to offer!

A great experience. Capt Nick and first mate Dee were the best. Capt Nick narrated the trip that was 2 hours on the intercoastal waterway with just a peak at the Gulf at Stump Pass due to very rough water in the Gulf. The intercoastal was very calm. Capt Nick let the kids on board take a turn at the helm. Water, soda and snack can be purchased or you can bring your own beveridges. The crown of the trip were the many dolphins spotted. Many right beside the boat. Again a great experience.

What is the cost? Is it per person? Per hour? Per day? I have a group of 4 adults and would like to use this the first part of August. I am located in Englewood FL and it would be one day
Written July 7, 2016
I don't remember exactly how much. I think it was around $30/per and it was a sunset tour. It was about 3 hours or so. Very nice you can bring your own drinks on board ( no glass) captain was great! Worth the trip
