My family and friends enjoyed this cruise immensely. Tim, the Captain, welcomed us with time to walk the pier and enjoy the Marina. We left promptly and visited several different sites for observation of dolphins, manatees and birds. His timing was like a choreography as we emerged from the coves to see the sun getting ready to set with a few minutes to spare. He offered wine while we waited the few minutes to see the spectacular sunset. There was time for photos, which he helped execute. On the way back to dock, we witnessed the wildlife in a different state as they transitioned from day to night. Tim's knowledge of the area and wildlife is so impressive that we learned something new this time, having cruised with him twice prior. We highly recommend this tour as well as the Eco cruise.

We arrived about 20 min early and Captain Tim greeted us warmly and welcomed us onto him comfortable pontoon boat along with another family of eight! Right upon leaving the dock Captain Tim started telling us about all of the wildlife we would be likely to see, including dolphins in the marina! He slowly motored to secluded spots off the channel to let us see more and more dolphins and to look for manatee. He told numerous interesting stories and answered everyone’s questions. He paid particular attention to the kids on board! Our view of the sunset was gorgeous and the trip back into the marina was highlighted by numerous roosting water birds. We highly recommend this trip with Captain Tim!!

Absolutely loved this! Everything was awesome. Saw all sorts of wildlife, including several dolphins, an island of pelicans, and even baby ospreys. The sunset was absolutely stunning, and we stayed anchored until we watched it dip below the horizon. Best view of the sunset in the area.

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! We hit the jackpot with a couple of different groups of dolphins who came super close to the boat and showed off for us several times throughout the tour. We also saw tons of cool birds and even came into contact with a couple of manatees (though they are much harder to spot below the surface in the wild - I recommend a trip to Mote Aquarium in Sarasota to see them up close). Captain Tim knows the area inside out given his local upbringing and he had tons of interesting insights into local folklore, wildlife, and current events that kept things thoroughly entertaining for the full two hours. We'll definitely return for another tour next time we are in SW Florida. Thanks again Cap from your friendly Canadian couple (I was the one in the Expos baseball hat).

Had such a fun boat ride this weekend with Capt Eric through Gasparilla Sound and surrounding areas. Definitely recommend the private tour, they’ll talk with you to come up with the perfect plan for your trip— it was great and we saw so much. Got out of the boat twice to shell and splash in the water, saw and heard about the history of the area as well as its claims to fame and famous inhabitants, had an exciting encounter with dolphins swimming in our wake, and then to top it all off, at the end of our tour, we just so happened to find a cormorant with fishing lore wrapped around its wing and proceeded to catch, remove the line, and release it back into the waters— pretty awesome experience for my 2 kids to see! Two other boats assisted and everyone cheered as the cormorant was released. Overall a very friendly group of people running Gasparilla Boat Tours, very attentive and excellent communication. We will definitely return next time we visit this area.

My wife, mother-in-law and I took the sunset cruise on 12/26/2019. The boat is clean, comfortable and well maintained. Capt. Tim is courteous, professional and, with an easy charm, shares his vast knowledge of the areas history and folk lore.
His familiarity with the waterways in and around Gasparilla afforded us a truly authentic and entertaining experience highlighted by an encounter with dolphins feeding at dusk while pelicans swooped in for the feast. And, of course, the sunset we witnessed while anchored in Gasparilla pass was spectacular as the sun fell beneath a cloud bank on it's way below the horizon. The memory of all this will help my wife and I through the long, cold Chicago winter nights ahead. We all look forward to making this cruise a part of our annual outing to Gasparilla Island beach during the Christmas holiday! Thank you, Capt. Tim!!

Seeing all the dolphins, pelicans and other amazing creatures. We had some bad weather. We went out on the first day, a storm was coming Captain Tim got us back safely and he rescheduled us for the next day. That trip was cancelled because of the storm. The third day, Captain Tim scheduled us at an earlier time to avoid the storm coming later in the afternoon. We did cruise (we beat the storm). The trip was amazing, Captain Tim and Lisa were awesome. We had such a great time, I hope we can do this again.

Our private sandbar excursion was filled with sightings of dolphins, manatees, pelicans, osprey and so much more. We dropped anchor on the sandbar got to do some shelling, wade in the water, enjoy our packed lunch and adult beverages. Captain Tim gave us insight to the area, wildlife we saw, super personable, I doubt there is anyone better in his field. Fun for everyone, I highly recommend this and we are definitely returning.

We have lived in Florida for 5 years and took some visiting friends from New England for a sunset cruise. We could never have imagined what an amazing trip this would be. The trip was 2 hours long and in that time we saw dolphins, sharks, manatees, and numerous species of birds. The biggest thrill of all was that we were lucky enough to see flamingos wading in an oyster bed. They were breathtaking! Sunset was spectacular! The crew was knowledgeable, friendly, interactive and had great safety awareness. I highly recommend Gasparilla Boat Tours will be a repeat customer for years to come.

Had a great time on our sunset cruise. The sunset was beautiful that night and the waters around Boca Grande are so lovely. The marine life didn’t disappoint and the captain and first mate are entertaining and informative!!

Are Gasparilla Boat Tours on Gasparilla island? We will be staying there on the island in June just wanted to know if we would have to leave the island or if we caught the boat there on the island.

Rena, we are located at 15001 Gasparilla Road at Gasparilla Marina just across from Little Gasparilla Island. We certainly can come pick you up for a tour if you have a private dock available.
