About
Once you're all checked in, we'll give some basic paddle instructions and information about the tour ahead. We'll get you loaded up into your clear kayak and off we go! The paddle will last about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way. We will be sure to take plenty of pictures and give some awesome unique facts about the area on our several picturesque stopping points! There will even be a couple of chances for you to get out and enjoy the refreshing spring water! If you're looking for some added excitement, there's a tree with steps that can easily be climbed and used to dive into the crystalline fresh water. The first half of the paddle will be upstream towards Rainbow Springs, the second half will be a gentle coast back to our launch point. Be ready for lots of great local nature and wildlife along the way!

My wife and I booked a kayak tour with Josh. From the beginning he was attentive and informative about the various aspects of our river experience. Unfortunately the main memory we have of our experience is losing my wife’s wedding ring while exploring a shallow sand boil. It was very upsetting. Josh helped us search for it with no luck. He assured us that he would continue looking for it with a friend after our tour. A few days later her ring was found and returned to us in the mail. We were shocked and thrilled. Josh really saved the day. Besides a beautiful tour he gave us a wonderful memory from our day on the river.

Had a blast with our group of 4 kayaking at Rainbow River! Our knowledgeable guide, Joshua, was so friendly, relaxed and shared a world of interesting information regarding the geology & animals of the area. Such a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! This is our 2nd trip with Get Up & Go; we previously kayaked at Rock Springs in Apopka, and also had a terrific guide named, Daniel. I highly recommend an adventure w/ this company - they rock!

Rainbow Springs, the springs themselves are beautiful. Kind of a small theatre to kayak. However, the description of this tour was very misleading. The 2 hour trip started and we paddled for about 10 mins, got out of the kayaks and walked up a spring fed creek (which was beautiful...for about 5 mins) and spent about 1hr 15mins in the creek. Got back in the kayaks, went about 5 mins then viewed the deepest section of this area, then paddled 10-15 mins back to the starting point. We drove 2.5 hrs each way for this trip and had we known that this was the trip we would have chosen a different tour! so, beware of the description. I even spoke to someone on the phone and was misled by the person i spoke to. I then sent a note to the company who asked if i was interested in a tour at Silver Springs (which would have required an additional 2.5 hrs each way for us to try) I explained the distance we lived from there and then NO REPLY at all!

Each of our locations offers a unique experience from one another and we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time spent at Rainbow Springs. We are sure that guests are aware that our Rainbow Springs adventure involves many stops as well as swimming by providing a detailed description directly on our website. The secret creek is often guests most favorite part of this excursion and we are sadden to hear that this hidden gem was not one of yours. Upon receiving your email, we offered you a complimentary tour at another location as it was 40 minutes closer, has an abundance of wildlife, and there is no swimming so you would be paddling for the entirety of the 1.5 hour long tour. We did try to be accommodating and make up for what you found missing from your Rainbow Springs excursion, however the offer was declined as traveling was a concern. We are sorry you were not 100% satisfied with your experience but hope that you will check out some of our other locations! We have many locations to explore that may offer more of what you are looking to get out of your adventure.

I’d never seen a fresh water river and knew nothing about its unique features and wildlife. So, I learned of Get Up and Go Tours with its easy reservation system , clear kayaks, and knowledgeable guides, and planned a trip to Rainbow River. It was absolutely perfect and, thanks to our guide Lisa, a fun paddle up river and a delightful drift back down!

The kayaks were newer and clear you could see fish and scuba divers. We went up the river made a stop at a cool little creek you could walk the whole way. We were able to swim for a while if desired then we went up a some more and turned around. Was very cool and 2 hours goes by very fast.

The spring is beautiful there is no doubt about that. The guide was nice. But I paid over $500 for 6 of us for a 2 hour guided tour. However including loading and unloading we were out there for 1 hr. When I emailed about the situation I was reimbursed $100. We drove over 2 hours each way to do this tour. Very disappointed.

We did refund you half of what you paid for the tour due to the circumstances. So you were reimbursed for the time you weren’t on the water, which according to our guide was just half an hour short of the two hour tour. Our guide was new and has been talked to so this type of situation doesn’t happen again.

Such a cool and fun experience with my friends. Sarah and Sam were absolutely legendary. Very nice and knowledgeable and super patient. The clear bottom kayak was awesome and the 2 hour trip was perfectly timed.
Saw a bunch of wildlife and definitely learned a lot about the area from both guides. Will definitely recommend!

Sam was knowledgeable, courteous and a fun tour guide. We enjoyed this trip, as it was our first experience, I give this a 5 star rating. Sam went above and beyond taking pictures for us and also making sure we were safe. Excellent experience!

Sam was a great tour guide,
we went kayaking in Rainbow Springs. The kayaks were crystal clear the water was crystal clear. Sam did a great job explaining everything we saw he was very knowledgeable and very professional. We had a great time.

My wife and I had a great outdoor adventure with our guide Brie. She was knowledgeable and genuine. She was patient and thoughtful. Our discussions were informative and insightful. I recommend going early before it gets very busy. We loved our outdoor adventure.
