About
Established in 1951, Daisy Mae is the oldest and one of the most well known fishing charters in the Clearwater/Dunedin area. Our Captains love what they do and it shows. Our boats are comfortable and family friendly. We offer trips from 4 to 12 hours for parties up to 6 people. All you need to do is show up with your food and beverages. We take care of the rest - bait, tackle, fishing licenses and fish cleaning are included. Parking in convenient and free. Avoid the crowds in Clearwater Beach and come to beautiful Dunedin for an unforgettable Dunedin fishing experience. After a great day of fishing take your fresh catch to one of Dunedin's many wonderful restaurants and let them prepare your dinner. Catain Chad was great we went on a 6hr charter and it was great we slayed the fish. Chad was helpful and funny . If abd when u go fishing u must choose this company. After we where done they also cleanedallnof our fish and recommend a restaurant that cooked all for us. a superior company. Both times we went had a great great time .

Just Another Day with Daisy Mae

This is about our 7th or 8th trip with Captains Tim or Eric. Both are great and we ALWAYS catch lots of fish. Booked a 6 hour excursion with Tim. We were catching so many fish it turned into a ten hour event!!!

We caught and over 60 Red Grouper and threw back about 50. Also caught Lane Snapper. Hit a pod of Bonito fish on our way back in. Tim immediately stopped and we trolled for ANOTHER hour! Crushed about 6 of them. Caught a 6 foot shark and actually got it to the side of the boat! These guys are awesome.

Have always caught fish with the fine staff of the Daisy Mae

This wasn’t the first thing it would not be the last time we go out fishing in a daisy Mae. Just stand there only four of us and we went out of Dunedin Marina south to Clearwater in the intercoastal and then out to the fishing spot which is about a 45 minute boat ride. It depends on what time of year you go. We caught Hog fish, gray snapper,sheephead and blue face porgies. Chad filleted them and we took to the Old Bay cafe right near to the boat and they cooked them for us. Plus plenty more for later and to freeze. Parking is next to boat and free. Much better than trying to find a spot in Clearwater.
We also saw a sea turtle and dolphin. It was a calm day but I always bring bonine just in case. We packed a cooler with beer, water and sandwiches but never had time to eat. Great action. Great time. We will book again soon.

Dinner for the Neighborhood

Great half day of wishing out of Dunedin with Cap. Chad, caught 16 Spanish Mackerels, a 30 lb. King Mackerel and 2 Bonita . Chad worked his butt off , keeping the lines baited and in the water as well as doing a fantastic job of cleaning them

We chartered with Daisy Mae and couldn't be happier. The price was more than reasonable for the amount of time we scheduled. Chad, our Captain, had us on fish all day. They were also easy going, willing to work around my Son's recent knee surgery, and overall good people. They had absolutely everything needed to be successful. The boat was clean when we got on, and was kept that way no matter how messy we were. They took care of everything for us when we got back to the docks (picked up everything, took photos of all our fish with us, and cleaned/fileted our fish) and even referred us to a local restaurant that prepared our catch for us as we left the marina.

10 out of 10. I would recommend them to anyone.

Perfect Day on the Water

This was our 2nd Trip with Daisy Mae and we would recommend fishing with them every time you're in the Clearwater/Dunedin area. Capt. Eric and Chad are a great team. They know right where to go whether you book a 4, 6, 8, or 12 hr trip. They are great with kids. You can't go wrong.

This was a great trip we were going to do the 6 hour then changed our mind and went for the 10 hour and it was the best day ever. We caught our limit on grouper. Caught huge red snapper and amber jacks along with multiple other smaller fish. The captain and mate were excellent. Would highly recommend this charter.

Great Time

Had a trip in January with Capt Eric and Chad. Was originally scheduled for an 8 hour trip but the weather was looking iffy, so Capt Eric recommended we stay more inshore and do a 4 hour trip. It was sporty but still fishable. We tried 3 different spots and caught at every spot. Between the 4 of us we caught 30+ fish and we were back at the dock by noon with fish for dinner. We didn't get our butts kicked running out 30+ miles and we beat the rain back to the dock.

The ultimate fishing experence!

The Yellow fin was in specular condition, the speed it gets b you out there is unbelievable.
The captian ability to put us on fish...BIG fish. The 6 of us hit the dock exhausted with smiles from ear to ear. They then cleaned the fish and packaged it for our travel home.

We had a great time on our fishing trip. We did the 4hr island hopper. The weather wasn't the greatest but Chad made the best of it and ensured we still caught lots of fish and had a great time. Thank you!
