About
For over 35 years, the Dunedin Fine Art Center (DFAC) has been offering exciting art opportunities in a most welcoming kind of way. St. Petersburg Times writer Lennie Bennett says that DFAC is “the artistic equivalent of a village square,” offering quality experiences to people of all ages. DFAC offers year-round exhibitions in four galleries featuring national, regional and local artists. Classes for students 4 yrs. to 97 yrs. fill 15 studio classrooms and a changing yearly theme makes the David L. Mason Children’s Art Museum a hands-on experience not to be missed. You can take some time to enjoy a delicious lunch or gourmet coffee in the Palm Café, or search out one-of-a-kind gifts in the Gallery Gift Shop. Come out and PLAY at the Dunedin Fine Art Center and see why people say it’s where the ART is!

There's usually an interesting exhibit and the classes can't be beat. Very good instructors, and if you're here for only a short time, there's often a one-day thing to do Great for all ages. Truly a gem in the area.

We were blown away by the miniature art show.
Jan 2020
Be sure and stop by this museum to see the permanent collection of miniature art. We were fortunate to happen on their annual show and say hundreds for amazing miniature art pieces and talked with artists who produced some of them. The miniature sculptures were also awe inspiring. As if this wasn't enough, on the second floor there was a display of quilts which were extremely interesting, unique, and beautifully presented.

Wonderful art gallery that focuses on education
Dec 2019
There are lots of great pieces in this gallery. They seem to personalize each season. They have lots of classrooms, apparently doing lots of teaching for both kids and adults. Wonderful, homey environment.

Great afternoon activity for the kiddo. Children’s museum was packed with stations. Painting, markers, dress up, etc. Favorites were under the sea reading room and the black light crayons. Everything was unique and taken care of. Everyone was very friendly. Great hot day activity with a park and splash pad in the same area.

We have been enjoying the Dunedin Fine Art Center for a few years. I have taken a pottery class, my granddaughter has taken a few of the children's summer classes. I highly recommend that you stop in to enjoy the art work that is displayed. Also enjoy a nice lunch at the cafe - good food.

Great lunch with homemade soup

Delicious homemade soup. The lobster bisque was a bit too spicy for me, so they gladly switched it to their veggie soup of the day,

Dunedin truly supports the arts and the Art Center. This was a live auction, a silent auction, and an amazing amount of money donated to the Gifts From the Heart. Impressive.

More than just painting.

This was a treasure find. Yes there art on the walls but you can actually go into classes and watch the artist paint, make jewelry and even cook. Admission is free and is well worth visiting.
