Hire these guides, they will take good care of you. Great experience and professional service under very tough conditions. My group and I fish often both by ourselves and with guides. We booked 3-6 hr charters with Captain Josh and he did all he could to make sure we had the best opportunity for a great trip each day. We literally had a hurricane heading up the gulf towards the panhandle and a cold front blasting heavy winds from the north at the same time. Those are terrible conditions to work in for the most seasoned Captains. Captain Josh was able to help us connect to multiple trophy Redfish and Black Drum each day. Captain Josh also shortened each trip by 2 hrs because the conditions were so bad. So even though we were disappointed we had tough conditions Captain Josh had us fish the "sweet spot" of the tides each day and saved us hours of non productive time on the water and several hundred dollars in charter fees by the end of our week. Not every guide is going to do that for you. The Captain went above and beyond on each trip. Make them part of your next visit.

My family and I fished with Josh and had an amazing trip. Josh put us on fish the entire trip. We caught redfish, trout and so many blackdrum that we lost count. Josh runs a first class operation with great equipment. He was so patient with the kids and really took time to answer their million questions. I recommend any family that wants to catch fish, spend time with family, and make lifelong memories give Josh a call you won’t regret it. We will definitely be fishing with him again on our next trip to the area.

We had a great time fishing with Captain Si today. Caught a couple reds, some sheep head, and some blue fish. The team was very accommodating with us bringing our 13 month old on the trip. We enjoyed Si’s eclectic play list, laid back nature, and willingness to keep baiting our hooks when the fish were biting like crazy but we couldn’t seem to set the hook. Highly recommend!

Went fishing with 3 good friends on our spring break, and Captain Si did not disappoint. Weather was less than favorable initially, but things soon cleared up and we had a great time. Shoutout to Captain Si Nelson, a very friendly guide compared to many others I’ve had in the area. He was like having another fishing buddy on board. 10/10 would recommend fishing with Capt. Si at Destin Inshore.

Capt. Aaron Tyre is the consummate guide - with years of experience in Alaska, Colorado, and Georgia, he's now a saltwater guide in Destin. A recent family trip with 3 teens for snapper was a great time. We got close to alot of wildlife, shark, dolphin, osprey, pelican...and the kids caught plenty of mangrove snapper, vermillion snapper, etc. wreck fishing. Aaron was attentive and kept the kids attitudes up! He even put on some Kidz Bop to get the kids singing and dancing as they reeled! I highly recommend Destin Inshore Guides who made the booking painless. Pro-tip, get your parking validated at Harbor Tavern, bring water/gatorade for the kiddos, and maybe a light poncho or rain jacket in case of intermittent summer showers. Do bring a small cooler for your fish if you choose to eat them.

Captain Si was great! Before pushing from the dock, he carefully explained boat safety as well as fishing safety. He gave us a choice of fishing in the Gulf or in the bay. We went out to the Gulf however it was a bit rough. Si had no problem taking us back to the bay for a better experience. He was personable and knowledgeable. He kept us active the whole time, making sure our hooks stayed baited! He quickly cleaned and filleted our fish when we arrived back at the dock. It was a fun experience!

Capt Si was a very experienced captain as well as fisher man. It was very windy and high surface waves. He guided us safely about 4 miles out where he took us to a reef and caught several trigger and mingo snapper. To get us off such rough conditions he then finished our day in the bay under the bridge to catch several mangrove snapper. He was pleasant and professional. Thank you Si!

Top notch! We would definitely recommend Captain Brody. Our charter consisted of a party of 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 5 to 10). Captain Brody worked the whole time to make sure we had baited hooks and that we were happy, to be honest we had him going back and forth tending to hooked fish! This a no brainer if you are looking for a family experience! We have already talked about a husband and wife trip with Destin Inshore Guides next time to Florida.
Thank you for the great day!

Had a great day on the water with Captain Kyle. He is an expert on the area and provides just the right amount of help. Allows you to bait, cast, and hook; and even let me play with my own tackle and yoyo handline. Also gave great service when you just wanted the help on casting to that perfect spot. We spent the first part at the bridge bringing in snapper after snapper, then off to search for redfish. We found a real lunker! Spent 15 minutes bringing in this 37” Redfish. What a day!

Just got back from Destin. We looked at lots of different charters, and finally decided to check out Destin Inshore Guides. We visited the dock at the marina and happen to be there when they were just coming in from a booked trip. We talked with Captain Si. He got us set up right then with a trip the next day.
There were 8 guys in our group. They took us out Saturday morning in two different boats, each with 4 guys in a group. My group had Captain Josh Calhoon, also the owner of the business. He went above and beyond the whole trip putting us on fish and working to keep us on them the whole time. Very friendly guys to work with.
We landed 18-20 decent sized fish, and lost atleast that many more off our hooks. Obviously, that's fishing and it's the way it is. But, for being a slower time of the year, these guys know where to take you to get you on the fish.
I'd recommend them to anyone, and when I'm back in Destin, I'll be calling them again for another trip. Thanks guys!!

Hi, we will be in Destin June 23-30 and My children are very interested in fishing but I’m not sure about going off shore! Would rather stay close by, I am concerned about being sea-sick!! Just wondering how many y’all can take out at a time (we have a lg family), what we would need to bring, cost, how long the trip is, and if there are trips that don’t go far out, etc?
Thanks so much, just trying to find the kids a trip that we won’t get sick on and that is not too long!
Written April 19, 2018
Our bay charters are primary in calm watered areas so there is little chance of getting sea sick. We do have some of the largest bay boats in our area and we can accommodate up to 6 passengers. I would recommend giving us a call at 850-502-9170 and we can answer all of your questions and get you set up. Look forward to hearing from you.

trying to plan a fishing trip for guys that know how to fish. Know that this time of year is not great but would like to find some action. This site looked good but wanting to know the real story............if that is possible

There is fishing to be done year around in the Destin area. In the bay we are catching redfish, trout, and sheephead should start bitting soon. In the gulf we have been catching a variety of snappers and amberjack bottom fishing and catching bull reds along the beach. Check out Instagram or Facebook for recent pictures.

What is the cost per person for the trip, license, etc..?
Written January 4, 2017
I forgot to mention, your license is included in the trip price. You don't have to buy one the day of. Also, bait is included. You just need to bring snacks and drinks. Rest is all covered.
