Simply the best!

Captain Nick is a class act and he knows his stuff! Highly recommend him to anyone, he took my family of four and intently listened to my 5 and 8 year old daughters stories all afternoon. We caught more than I imagined possible including a 6-7’ shark. Awesome time! Can’t wait to come back and go out with him again.

MARCH 11TH 2020 FISHING TRIP

Hadley, Captain Preston's wife, was who I talked to on phone to book trip. She was enthusiastic and detailed and made me feel comfortable in choosing this trip. The email giving detailed information and timing was received the day after booking. My daughter and I went on a 4 hour afternoon trip. There was Captain Preston and 1st mate Cowboy. They were on time, courteous, humble, and polite. The boat was clean and handled rough water well. We did not get sick. We went 13 miles out and started catching fish as soon as we dropped the first line. Trigger fish is all that was in season. We lost count on how many fish we caught but somewhere between 20 to 30 trigger fish. We did catch a couple of red snappers. Captain knew where the fish were. We hit three different spots. The Captain also had a friend join us that had a 4k video and still camera and a drone. This added a new dimension to trip. We did not have to worry about losing our phones overboard taking pictures and concentrate on catching fish. The quality of pictures were incredible. The drone footage showing us catch fish was very, very, cool. We got lucky he joined us. I have never done a review before. But these were some cool down to earth hard working guys who knew their stuff and pulled off the perfect trip. These are the kind of people I champion.

Great trip and great captain!

Went out around lunch on 5/26/2020 with Capt. Nick. The weather was "questionable" in the morning but Capt. Nick was flexible with our time and worked around the weather. Within 20 minutes of leaving the inlet our lines were in the water and we were pulling up monster fish. Mostly red snapper today, which were out of season, so we had to throw them back. He did put us on some trigger fish and I even caught a small Cobia (a first for me).

I have been actively deep sea fishing for the last 30+ years and I highly recommend this company.

The Perfect trip! Great group of people!

We booked a four hour offshore trip for two adults and four young girls ages 12 and 17 with Hadley. She was very professional and the communication was clear. Our captain was Jayson Burkett. He was really amazing. He was very mindful of the children and extremely patient. He was quick to relocate us if we were not catching fish. I had concerns with just one person to man the boat, bait the rods and deal with the fish. He really stepped up and kept everyone going. A real bonus was that Jayson was so kind and took the time to share his knowledge about the fish we caught, the area, the seasons for different fish and the spotted dolphin that surrounded our boat for most of the time. I highly recommend this group!

Five Star Fishing Experience

Hands down, the best fishing trips we have ever been on are with Preston and Gulf Angler Fishing Charters. The top notch customer service begins with booking. Hadley is super responsive and easy to work with. She gets you booked and promptly answers any questions you may have. Preston gets you on the fish. If you hit a spot where the fish aren't biting, he doesn't waste any time moving on to the next spot. We caught our limit of red snapper on our last trip. "Cowboy", his first mate, is very attentive and ready to bait your hook so you can get your line back in the water. We have a blast every time we go out with Preston. Definitely the best fishing charter captain we have been out with. We always look forward to our next trip to Destin and fishing with Preston.

Highly recommended charter service

Gulf Angler Charters is a top notch operation. Owner and Captain of the Home Grown, Preston Muller and First Mate Kellan aka “Cowboy” have what it takes to put you on the fish. Coming from someone who has fished with many different charter services over the pat 35 years, I highly recommend them. Plan your next trip in the Gulf of Mexico with Gulf Angler Charters out of the Destin Harbor. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Family friendly and catch fish? They do both!

Great family trip! Hadley with Gulf Angler Charters was amazing with her communication by setting up the trip and keeping us in the loop.Captain Jayson was absolutely the best...period!!! I have a 9 and 11 year old, which can be challenging to fish with. Captain Jayson was more than up to the challenge. He put us on fish immediately and my 9 year old was done after about 5 fish. She then proceeded to ask Captain Jayson about one million questions for the next four hours. He was absolutely great when it came to interacting with her! Meanwhile, my 11 year old son didn’t stop fishing so Captain Jayson kept moving us to find and catch fish. We had an amazing trip! If you want to catch fish and have a family great family experience, this is the charter for you. Ask for Captain Jayson. 5 STARS!!!

Fantastic Fishing trip with Capt Nick!

We booked a 6 hour fishing trip and we were ABSOLUTELY thrilled with the trip! Capt Nick took us 15 miles east of Destin and 8 miles off shore where nearly no other charters go. It was just myself and my 9 year old son. Capt Nick put us around 12 different reefs/wrecks where we caught Red Snapper, Trigger Fish, Grouper, Amber Jack and other species of Snappers. To finish off the trip we went after a shark but came up empty....sort of...we had a shark take a catch right off our line!

Capt Nick was great with my son and if you can book him..DO IT!

We definitely recommend them for a great charter trip!

Fun Family Fishing

They told us they could put us on red snapper and within minutes we were pulling them in as fast as we could. Such a great company. Plus the gave us a great recommendation of a place that would cook up our fish for us. We hope to do this again!

I was surprising my husband with a trip for his birthday and Hadley was nothing short of amazing the entire booking process - I couldn’t thank her enough for all of her help. Today was finally the day and I could cry I am soooo happy with our charter. We had so much fun. Preston and Cowboy were FANTASTIC. Trigger happened to be open today and we caught so many our first stop. Everything was extremely fun but professional - a few people were stopping to ask about information on the charter at the end because they were jealous / curious about all of the fish we caught today! They knew the spots. Cowboy was quick to help everyone and especially me who has never done fishing like THIS before. 10/10. So happy we were recommended this company - cannot imagine going with anyone else ever again!

Fishing is great year round in Destin! Triggerfish, red snapper, mingo/vermillion snapper, amberjack and sharks are almost always biting. If you are wanting to keep fish, certain species are open at different times of the year depending on the FWC's decisions.

Hi Valerie! Thanks so much for contacting us! We would love to get you out on the water. Our gulf trips start out at $150/hr with a 4 hour minimum. The 4 hour trip would be around $600 for the 2 of you (not a per person price). We have our 24 ft Tideline boat, "Fa La Me" and our 26 ft Sea Hunt boat, "In To Wishin" available next week. Gulf Anglers can answer better than I , but the size of you party determines which boat you hire. We had a blast. If you email or call them, Hadley will make the arrangements and she was wonderful. Be sure to tell them how many adults and children in your group.

4 hours is the minimum for the trip. I recommend a minimum of 6 to truly get the experience.

That is correct! Thank you excalgirl for answering!!! We could also do a 4 hour trip on our largest boat "Home Grown" in the afternoons. "Home Grown" is $190/hour so it would be around $760 for a 4 hour trip. Our other two boats are $150/hour. These prices are total for everyone in your party - not a per person charge. We have a German Shepherd that will be making the trip to FL with us. Would she be allowed on the boat while we are fishing?

Hi- We love dogs but unfortunately we do not allow them on the boat unless they are service dogs. This more for their safety than anything else. Thanks!
