Our family decided we wanted to experience some deep sea fishing. So, we booked a charter with Captain JJ Botelho on the Soggy Bottom II and are so glad that we did! There were four of us: myself, hubby and our two teenage boys. It was obvious from the beginning that Captain JJ was an experienced fisherman. The weather had been ominous all week before our scheduled tour and Captain JJ kept in contact with us keeping us updated on the weather and how he could work around our schedule if a problem arose. We were very fortunate and the weather was cooperative which allowed us for a great morning of fishing. Captain JJ knew all the best fishing spots and kept us busy all morning. We kept Captain JJ busy as well, because as soon as we dropped a line we were reeling them in! We finally had to resort to catch and release as we had so many fish! What a nice problem to have!

Booked a fishing charter with Capt J.J. Botelho on board the Soggy Bottom II and had a terrific time. Despite the weather threatening to unleash its fury at any moment, Capt J.J. still helped us find the fish that were biting and biting and biting. We finally had to stop and start with catch-and-release because we were catching so many. Capt J.J. was terrific in helping all us with the proper fishing techniques, handling the caught fish once we brought them in, and continuously re-baiting our hooks. He made the trip a real adventure and the family had an absolutely great time. We'll be looking him up on our next trip to Destin.

JJ was awesome! We called around 9 am searching for a 4 hour trip for ourselves and two teenage sons. JJ wasn't going out, but said give me an hour to get the boat ready! We took off and within 20 seconds of dropping lines it was "fish on"!! I "had" a bucket list shark, he saw to it I fought a good one!! Thanks JJ!! Will definitely use again! (Happy 11th Anniversary as well)

Captain Andrew was great. Being a native of the Fort Walton/Destin area he was very knowledgeable and really fun to talk to. Got us on the water on time and after hitting a couple spots with no luck he said hold on. Twenty minutes later we were catching Kings and Cobia like crazy. A few times the bait barely hit the water before we had a strike. Don't know if it was our lucky day or if Andrew was just that good but when we got back it turns out the other boats got skunked. Will definitely be back and Thanks JJ and Andrew.

Capt Ben delivered a great trip on the Soggy Bottom II !! The kids wrestled some Amberjack and Mackeral and had a blast! The best part of the trip though was the 25 lb Wahoo they snagged just before coming in! What a memory! Thank you for a great time!
