Embark on the adventure of a lifetime aboard the Buccaneer Pirate Cruise! Our popular Destin boat tour is located at HarborWalk Village in Destin, Florida. Join us as we take to the pristine waters of the Emerald Coast in search of undiscovered treasure. Entertainment and interaction create adventure, excitement, and merriment for the young and young at heart. Our captain and mates will amuse your whole crew from beginning to end with pirate-themed activities, witty banter, singing, dancing, and family fun. The crew engages willing participants in pirate training, sword fighting, water gun battles, a treasure hunt, and authentic cannon fire. Parents are welcome to join in with the Scallywags and Lil Bucs, but only those brave enough to complete pirate training will be made honorary members of the Buccaneer Crew. If you’re not keen to plundering and swabbing the decks, simply kick back, relax, take in the scenery, and watch your lads and lasses have the time of their lives.

Great experience with me and my son. He is 5 years old. This whole operation is very well done. The two actresses leading the kid activities are talented, energetic, and do great with kids. While the tickets for the boat are not cheap, the food and non-alcoholic beverages onboard are quite affordable (alcoholic drinks are reasonable too). The ship is in great condition and goes on a nice little route. My son participated in about half the kid activities and we felt comfortable engaging and disengaging as he felt like it. The captain even let us check out the control cabin after we docked and he was super friendly about it. Highly recommended for kids.
The reservations people told us to arrive an hour in advance, but I think that was largely to provide buffer for parking and walking. They start boarding about 30 minutes before departure, but we had trouble with our Lyft and were late. They called me about 15 minutes before departure to make sure we were coming, and we got there with just 5-10 minutes to spare and had no trouble. Parking is awful here, get dropped off if you can!

4 stars for the experience. It was fun and interactive. The ship was cool and the gift shop was very reasonably priced. 1 star off and my only complaint is there isn’t enough staff aboard. I went and sat in the enclosed area above the gift shop to breastfeed my 6 month old son because there was no one in there (just wanted to be respectful of the amount of children present) while in there a man came down and stuck his hands through the window and smoked a cigarette. I was told this is a “no smoking” trip. As I’m feeding my child maybe 10 feet away. I texted my husband who was with our 2.5 year old down in the “treasure room”. He was unable to inform anyone because there was only 1 staff there and he was giving a presentation. Him and my daughter came back up. The guy then comes back AGAIN to the only part of the seating that is enclosed and smokes ANOTHER cigarette. Right by my 6 month old and 2.5 year old! I told my husband I was going to grab somebody before I went mama bear on him.. like come on dude it’s a kids trip that only lasts 2 hours.. both staff were busy in presentation and the captain was enclosed so I couldn’t tell him. I ended up going to a bartender and she went up to talk to him.
It’s really a great trip and I think we will be back to bring my 4 year old. But it was a very disappointing part of the experience. I really wish they had 1 extra person aboard just to kind of over see things and be available if anyone needs assistance.

Our grandson age 5 was counting down the days all summer long for this event, and it did not disappoint! The ship is awesome, a very authentic replica. The crew was hilarious, non-stop entertainment for the kids, and pulling in a sunken treasure chest full of prizes out of the water was a big highlight! So much fun was had by all. I won the ladies hula hoop contest, but no prizes for that, just bragging rights! The captain kept circling the ship around at sunset to provide plenty of spectacular photo ops. The cruise never felt rushed. The smoothies were delish (we had pina colada flavor) and reasonably priced. Also, we all dressed up in pirate costumes (grandparents, parents, and kids) and this made it so much more engaging for us, but not many people were in costume save for a handful of kids. We tend to go all in in stuff like this! This excursion was well worth the ticket price. I highly recommend adding this event to your Destin vacation agenda.

When we booked online (based on their brochure that we picked up at the airport) we'd thought the cruise was a reenactment show like Medieval Times. When we went to the window to pick up our tickets, the lady warned us that the cruise was geared towards young children from about 5 to 10 years old, and would like us to know that and asked if we still wanted to go. She added that there are, however, alcoholic beverages the parents/adults can purchase and enjoy on board. We said: "What the hay. We're already here. Let's go. Arrr!"
Indeed the cruise was for young children and their parents. Nonetheless, it was a relaxing cruise. We sat on the upper decks away from all the excited, screaming, and yelling kids. And with a couple of cocktails under our belts, we didn't really mind and soon were enjoying the slooow cruise around the bay, Despite the "non-show", we thought it was still worth it, albeit somewhat on the pricey side. So if you have one of several young'uns longing to be pirates, this cruise's for you. But if you're with your significant other and adult friends/family, I would recommend looking somewhere else.

They need customer service training for their ticket clerk. Was quoted a price when making reservations then upon arrival was told another price and when I asked about the difference I was given another price. When I asked about the difference she said something about their 2 systems don't align and so I asked if we could get the first price quoted she said no so I asked for a supervisor she said "I'm the supervisor "I asked for higher supervisor she said there wasn't any. I said I would call main office if I had to. She evidently didn't like that I was questioning the amount. When the company sent me an email to tell them about my experience I let them know what happened and how it put damper on trip. They responded that she told them I was disrespectful and didn't give her a chance to manually change it. Which was a lie. They told me if I couldn't go out and be kind to workers during covid or any time that I should stay in. How very rude ! The gall of this company. If this is their idea of customer service then they need alot of training. I stayed in Destin for a week and had many interactions with workers from Fudpuckers, the track, the Wingate, Baskin Robbins, Mcquires, olive garden, bass pro shop, h&m, Columbia store, Crackling, Walgreens, Publix, Bealls and many more and had no problems all these workers were nice, friendly, respectful, helpful, professional. In fact at McGuire's the steak was over done and asked the waiter and he said no problem we will take care of it. Very nice and respectful and PROFESSIONAL. Unlike this business.

Our family of five (my wife, three boys ages 9, 9, and 6 and me) enjoyed an afternoon aboard the Bucaneer. If you check their Facebook page, you might find a discount code - it saved us a few bucks when booking online.
Our boys thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the experience, while my wife and I grabbed a seat up high where we could watch them and enjoy the breeze and views of the harbor, bay, and pass. The drinks and souvenirs were reasonably priced.
One minor note to keep in mind - Florida has relaxed most of their COVID restrictions, and while there were ample hand sanitizer stations onboard and masks were available, the boat was fairly crowded, no one wore a mask, and the kids of course didn't social distance at all. It wasn't a big deal for us, but your mileage may vary.

The kids had a great time and we got to enjoy a cruise around the harbor and sunset. The entertainers really try hard to keep the kids captivated. They don't provide an "free" snacks or adult beverages that I saw. It was all for purchase. Tipping is not included in purchase price either so you need to bring cash.

The crew is very friendly and put a lot of effort into their show, and my son really enjoyed himself. My biggest complaint is that the webpage and tickets say it is a 2 hour long pirate cruise, but it most definitely was not. Our ticket time was 12-2 pm. The ship stayed at dock and waited for late passengers to board until 12:15 despite all the information saying they would not wait and late passengers would be unable to board. The ship returned to dock just after 1:30 and all passengers had disembarked by 1:45 pm. When you’re paying $40 per ticket for what is stated to be a 2 hour cruise, it’s definitely disappointing when it falls half an hour short. So, the content is excellent, but the information regarding the duration needs to be changed or they need to fulfill the listed time. Until then, the kids will absolutely enjoy it, but parents should expect less time than they paid for.

I just wanted to give the crew a 10 star review we were visiting this past week an decided to aboard the Buccaneer pirate cruise my son was turning 10 he mentioned it was the best part of his trip. The crew is so awesome putting up with 20 plus kids, great actors an I enjoyed myself definitely recommend. Thanks for the great sunset memories will be returning .

I took my 15 yo son on a Saturday afternoon Cruise. The weather was perfect for us to just sit on the upper deck and enjoy the cruise. The crew did an excellent job entertaining the younger kids and a lot of the parents throughout the cruise while keeping everyone safe. I would recommend this to anyone who has younger children who like pirates, are curious about pirates, or just need a couple hours or entertaining while you relax!

Is this a religious based experience?? I was browsing and looking for things to do while we are on vacation next month, and this looked potentially fun for my 6 & 7 year olds. However, as I was reading the description on your website, it suddenly took a bizarre turn from describing a “pirate” experience to talking about a mission with a religious purpose. Very confused and apprehensive about this now...

Yes, it is. You board the boat from a huge ramp. There are different levels to the boat, but we stayed on the main level with our kids. The restrooms are also accessible. It really was a great time for the whole family....have fun!!!
