About
The Destin Harbor Boardwalk is a vibrant promenade along Florida’s Emerald Coast and has plenty of fun activities. You can take a stroll along the habor and treat yourself to the freshest seafood in town, or even embark on a dolphin tour. Alternatively, head off to neighboring Norriego Point to snorkel in the crystal clear waters. If you're looking to indulge in an extra thrill, get on a zip line or do some rock climbing.
During summer, the area is at its liveliest, as crowds come to watch live concerts and nightly fireworks shows. – Tripadvisor

The Boardwalk was beautiful and full of endless entertainment. It is nestled right down along the shoreline for boat tours, rentals, fishing, dinning and so much more. In the very center is “ Margaritaville “ restaurant now we have all heard Jimmy Buffet’s song where it’s 5:00 somewhere. To dine there make reservations you could be waiting a couple hours. There are several other restaurants with seafood and steak down there. Whatever your tastebuds are craving you’ll find it. There several shops, zip line, henna tattoo, bouncing things for smaller children and again so much more. Plan ahead and book some water activities. We booked with Destin Snorkel and was extremely pleased with our service. We did the snorkel and dolphin watching tour and we seen several dolphins and the snorkeling is perfect for all ages and first timers. Also booked with them for snuba it’s hard to understand so just read about it on their website and see the pictures. Our 13 year old granddaughter absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the vacation to do it again.
The Harborwalk in Destin is a must for the family so plan it on your next vacation.

We're a mature (old!) couple, not interested in the tatoos, sketch artists, etc. We went early, visited the shops, had a cold drink and left just when it was getting crowded in the late morning.
I did have a delicious pineapple Dole Whip for the very reasonable price of $5 (half what is charged at WDW).

Staying at the Emerald Grande it is nice to have all of this activity and opportunities in walking distance. Plenty of restuaruants, water activities, zip lines, escape rooms, and shops. There is a charge for parking in the Harbor Village lot or garage if you are not staying at the Emerald Grande, but there are other lots at resturaunts nearby. This is the place to come for fishing charters, jet skis and other water fun. There are nighttime concerts, shows, and fireworks throughout the week across the summer season.

I would have been fuming had I paid for parking and my snorkeling cruise got rained out right after parking even though the rain didn’t last long. That is more on the cruise company for canceling and not the board walk but there should be more parking options if you are not there to stay all day. I got away with parking at the Irish pub and didn’t get towed as they threaten. If you want to spend tons of money with no free events then go to the board walk to eat and shop.

We have visited Destin Boardwalk for many years and it gets more crowded with vendors and attractions every time. The latest change is the $10 to park without adequate spaces for the amount of vehicles they let in. People circle forever to get a spot.

This is a terrific place to shop, eat and do fun activities. Our group (4 adults and 2 pre-teens) went on the Seablaster Dolphin Tour boat. We had a great time! The captain and his two crew mates engaged the passengers and kept the free beer, wine, water and sodas coming the whole trip. We got to see lots of dolphins and then went on a fast ride. At one point, each kid on the boat got to steer and blow the horn. After returning, we had a great dinner at Margaritaville. This is a fun and worthwhile tourist location.

Our dolphin tour was cancelled due to a storm. The company refunded our money but the people who own the board walk per their employees stated we still had to pay for parking. My issue with this is they give you thirty minutes for free parking. The cruise instructs you to arrive an hour before. We had a large group. We arrived at 12:42. We did not enjoy the actual boardwalk, I wouldn’t be complaining if I did. We literally checked in, stood in line and sat on the docked boat until they cancelled. When I asked to speak to a manager they told me, management won’t be as nice to you and we don’t have a way to contact them. In fact they told me the company who cancelled would be better to contact for this matter. Parking is 10 per car, the boat held over 100 people, they rack up daily. There’s no reason to be greedy and charge people if there tours are cancelled. There needs to be a better system in place, if no refunds give free parking for the rescheduled cruise.

We went on the Olin Marlin Dolphin Tour. Not many dolphins to see but a nice hour long trip if you don't get sea sick. The Bay was extremely crowded with all size boats out in the water. I was the only person on the boat to get sea sick. The captain gave a history of the area, recommended restaurants and things to do. I have nothing negative to say. Nothing outstanding either. Be prepared to pay $20 to park and arrive an hour early due to traffic.

There was a $10 parking fee(?!) restaurants were busy and shops were high dollar T-shirt souvenir shops. Not worth the money and won’t go back. If parking was free maybe, but after quarantine you’d think they would welcome business not overcharge. We left and found a nearby restaurant with no waiting. 45 minute wait at this venue for seating. Not worth the line to park and the line to pay as you exit for basically tourist shops.

This was my first time here and it was better than expected. I was surprised by the parking fee, however, it's good for the entire day, and with everything they have there it's well worth it unless you're going there for one thing and i don't see how that's possible. I was there for hours and everybody was friendly.

We have three people that want to do deep sea fishing . Is there a way to find a few more people to share the cost as it appears you rent out the entire boat no matter how many people? Most are max of 6. Or do we risk it when we get there?

We are going to be there the third week of March. I have a handicapped 11 year old grandson. He uses a walker or a wheelchair. I am reading about how terrible the parking is and how crowded the boardwalk is would it be worth the trip? I also have a 14 year old and and 11 year old grand daughters. My husband drives a f350 truck so parking can be challenging. Any information would be appreciated. And if you have any other things to do while in the area it would be appreciated.

Get there early to find a parking space as it could be Spring Break Crowded. I would suggest parking in AJ's Oyster House Parking Lot as there is easy access for a wheelchair down to the Boardwalk Harbor Area. There is also Public Parking between Coyote Ugly and the Emerald Grand Hotel. But I am not sure about Wheelchair access. We always use the stairs there, I just don't recall a ramp. I hope you enjoy your trip. Yes it is worth the trip. Dolphins sometimes come up in the harbor and the Pelicans and Seaguls are quite entertaining too.

What attractions will be open during our visit of March 29- April 3?

I was there roughly that time of year a few years ago. Not sure how helpful this will be, but it's kind of hit or miss. Some stuff will be open, some stuff will be shut down for the winter. But there's definitely things to do and things to eat to make it worth a visit if you're in the area. And as I recall, we were able to get out on a boat for a little bit, as well.

We ate at a restaurant, took a boat tour from the boardwalk and played a 3D video game. It isn’t a lot to do and the boardwalk is not extensive and it is short.

When do all the shops open for the season? We were going to go in December but decided to hold off once everything opens. We are thinking beginning or middle of May but wanted to verify everything would be open.

Everything was open when we went including the restaurants. We even took a dolphin tour from the boardwalk. The boardwalk isn’t extensive like AC, OC or others.

Much like anywhere in Florida, it will be fairly warm, but nowhere near as hot as the usual summer vacation months.
