Fishing was amazing! Caught so many fish I had to quit because my elbows were getting tired from reeling them in!! Randy (head deck mate) put me on a 34 lb blackfin tuna and it was a half hour fight, but well worth it! Plus my wi1fe and I reeled in over 20 lbs of snapper and amberjack (unfortunately the amberjack and red snapper were out of season) but we brought home over 18 lbs of filets!

Horrible management. After trying to discuss our bad experience, she insists we had a good time, yells at my wife and tells her to bring it, said we are one of those people, calls us complainers or thinks we are scammers because we had a terrible customer service. She didn't care if you report her to BBB. When you book a 12-hr fishing trip I would expect to fish more than 3hrs total. Not sure how that makes me a scammer. Never go to Destin Princess & Princess Party Boat or Destin Fishing Fleet Charter. Stay away.

I will start this by stating that I have been on several charter party boats all over the world. I had just booked a 12 hour last week on Destin Princess. My friend and I decided to book a 12 hour Saturday Oct 24 on Destiny. We showed up 2.5 hrs early as we normally do so that we can have the deck hands place my friend's poles on the boat and mark our spots. When he did that, he got told that we may not get our spots because money talks and he expects a lot of money on this trip and it doesn't matter that we were the first ones there. This was the first red flag of the morning. Morning goes on and it turns out that we did on fact get the locations as requested (I guess the "money" didn't want our spots. My friend then tells deck hand that I will need a pole and that one of his poles was just placeholding for my spot (it is his trolling rod). Deck hand acknowledged his request. We then head out to sea. Was a 3.5 hour trip out. During this time I have no clue what the deck hands were doing but they seemed VERY behind. They were running around frantically, didn't have enough rigs set up, didn't have enough poles set up, didn't have enough bait cut, didn't really have anything ready. We get to first fishing spot and I notice my spot DOESN'T have a pole set up. Capt buzzes horn and fishing begins.... Except for me and anyone else that the deck hands failed to set up poles for. I tell the deck hand and he keeps pointing at my spot but doing other things. In the mean time, people are catching fish with no help from the same deck hands that didn't set my pole and possibly others. I finally get a pole at the middle of the SECOND fishing location. Fishing goes on catch a few fish, had to remove most from hooks on my own (don't really mind this, but didn't come prepared with tools to do it), this is normally part of the party boat luxury. You get assistance in those areas. Then we get to about the 4th fishing location, a great spot with fish everywhere for everyone. Someone's line tangled with mine then got dragged into the prop. In the mean time fish coming in everywhere, people having to do all of the work on their own (no deck hands anywhere) and my line caught in the prop. My friend finally just decided to cut my line and I search for assistance. I find deckhand and he complains about how there isn't enough line left on my reel so he will have to get me a new one. We then moved on from that location to the next one, at this point the rains came (I am ok with this) still with NO pole. I missed out on the 2 best fishing locations of the day "waiting" on the deck hand that never got me a pole. I finally got a pole at the second to last Deepwater areas, both of them turned out to be a bust, (I think the storms screwed those spots up). Capt then says we are headed to shallow waters and that it will be a 30ish min ride. Thats ok, was a chance to dry up inside. While inside I see one of the other deck hands sitting at one of the tables talking and cursing to himself. I asked him what was wrong and he starts telling me that the first mate had just told him that he wasn't getting his cut of the tips and thats all they get for working there. So basically, there was a "mutany on the Destiny". Summary of my trip, completely disrespected at 4 am 2 hours before boarding by rude deck hand. Fishing gear, poles, rigs, NOT READY. Bait not cut and prepared. Deck hand mutiny on the Destiny. I personally lost about 2 5 hours of the most prime fishing time of this trip to NOT having a pole because of their incompetence. I want to emphasize that NONE of my complaints go to the Capt. He did a great job of putting us on fish considering how bad the weather was. The Capt is the only reason this gets 2 stars. In my opinion the deck hand that did not quit on the boat should get fired. He was disrespectful, rude and just plain didn't do his job. I will never book with this company again after having several great experiences with their sister boat. Thoroughly disappointed.

Have been with them a few times in the past. I have a place in Pensacola but drive to Destin because the rates are better, the people friendlier and the ride to the ocean shorter which maximizes fishing time. The crew was very good and even kept up a lively banter to keep people excited about catching. We got mostly vermillion snapper and trigger fish. The captain finds the fish and hovers over them while you drop a line about 100 feet to the bottom. When the spot plays out he moves to another. Be aware that of the 6 hour trip (there is also an 8 hour trip), the ride to and from the fish may take 3 hours leaving only 3 hours to fish. However, this is enough. I went with 4 other couples who have not done this before and they were exhausted (and even bruised from holding the pole against their thighs). Constant fish. A bonus were the dolphins that continually followed the boat, and also a curse that they would often take the fish off the line before we could get them up and out. The only few negatives were that they cleaned the fish so fast that there were considerable bones left. also, the head (bathroom) really smelled bad. If you are like me, pick a day when the wave report is 2 feet or less; I get too seasick now. next time I will take something. Overall a really good trip
