We used Ride On for both beach service (chair and umbrella rental) and surf lessons for my 10 year old on a recent trip to Destin. They are set up right behind Capt. Dave's restaurant and are the closest beach service for the Wyndham Beach Street Cottages. I was glad to spot them on my first day there because it had been hard to find info about what beach service to use for the Beach Street Cottages. Most of the beach service companies on the beach have the same setup - 2 chairs and an umbrella for $40/day and you can book I multiple days for a discounted price. Figure to spend $50 for a day so you can give them a tip. They had chairs set up daily and I could text to have them reserve a set for me. I never had trouble with capacity, and they always had the chairs set up in exactly the right spot to be close to the water without getting wet. The guys were friendly and helpful. I don't know what time they set up in the morning (we aren't morning people) but they tear down by 4.
The address listed in their listing here is probably their actual shop location. As I mentioned, I found them on the beach closer to 3796 Scenic Highway 98, Destin, FL 32541 (the address for Capt.. Dave's on the Gulf) and right at the end of the beach access for Club Wyndham Beach Street Cottages.
Because we were in chairs right next to their setup, I could see that they did a really good business of non-motorized rentals (kayak's, stand up paddle boards, surf boards, etc. They did a surf school and different lengths of surf lessons (1 & 2 hours) with rates dependent on how many kids were participating. II didn't take a picture of their flyer but if you head down to their tent on your first day, you can get their prices along with the phone number to text when you want your chairs reserved. They always responded promptly and professionally to texts and had my "reserved" sign on my chairs by the time I hit the beach. They were very good with my daughter, and she had a great time with her surf lesson. They were patient, knowledgeable, and got her up in no time!
You don't really have much of a choice for who you use for beach service and rental if you want to be close to your condo, but I was very happy with their service and will gladly use them again next time I visit.

Our daughter has been to 2 surfing birthday parties this summer and the gang from Ride On Surf School has greatly impressed us! The instructors are very professional, extremely qualified, attentive to all of the kids, kind, fun, helpful, and patient! After the 1st b-day with Ride On earlier this summer she started asking for regular lessons. Now that we’ve gotten to attend a second b-day party with their awesome crew I’m sold as well. I can’t say enough good things about the group of instructors from Ride On! Thank you, guys! We’ll be seeing you very soon!

Our 11 year old daughter was interested in learning how to surf. Wife and I have a summer place close to Destin so Ride On’s location was very convenient. We were very fortunate that our vacation lasted 4 weeks this year, and although most of their classes run by the hour and daily, due to the length of our stay they worked with us. Except when the gulf was extremely calm or when a storm caused red flag conditions, our daughter was out there, and always received expert instruction and support from the staff. Result was a very happy kid who became very adept at riding waves in varying surf conditions. We also bought her a board, a similar one to what the school provides and rents out to others.
We give our highest recommendation to Ride On Surf School. It’s not just for kids, either; they are happy to train those of us who are way past our teenage years as well.

The guys at Ride On truly make this an amazing experience for everyone. Their passion, patience and experience definitely shows as they are teaching surf lessons! Myself at 41, my 8 year old girl and 10 year old boy were all were catching waves within the first 15 minutes. It was a blast!!! The instructors stay engaged and excited the entire time. They do a great job of making sure everyone in the group gets equal attention. They even took pictures of us surfing and shared them with us. I highly recommend learning to surf from the Ride On crew. Thanks so much!!!!

Second time taking surf lessons with this company.
Dylan is a pleasure to work with, making the reservation was easy and quick. Riley is a terrific teacher, he made it fun and exciting.
My daughter loved it.
After her lesson they let her use the surf board to practice and they let me use lounge chairs for a long as she was out there.
I highly recommend using Ride On!

These guys are the BEST!!! Our family was in Destin over the Labor Day weekend. My Husband booked our two kids, ages 16 and 12 their first surf lesson. Within minutes they were surfing and having a great time. The instructors were excellent. Both children had a great time. Would highly recommend this surf school to anyone who will be in the area.

Trey is a natural teacher. I had never surfed before and decided age 46 is the time to start. He really built my confidence and had me riding wave after wave to the shore. He was so encouraging and offered feedback to make me better each wave. Dylan was taking pictures and shared them with me for free! Great experience. I’m definitely coming back 🤙

Starting surfing for the first time a year prior to my first lesson at Ride On, so I was very rusty. Dylan was my instructor for my first lesson & he was amazing. I have had lessons there 4 times and the guys really know what they are doing, and their passion really shows!! Within 4 lessons I was able to surf on my own and now own my own board! I even took my little sister for lessons and she was on the board in no time! 🤙🏼

I’ve always wanted to learn to surf, but always was hesitant to even try. Coach Dylan is not only a incredible teacher, but also a great human. He made me feel comfortable and confident! I caught my first waves during my first private lesson at age 34! I can’t wait to spend a week of getting more time in the water! I was also able to convince friends to go Stand Up Paddle boarding with me and they had a blast! 10/10! Great for first time beginners and all ages! Truly a unforgettable experience!

Booked camp for my teens age 13, 13, and 16. They had a blast and learned basic techniques for beginning surfing.They sent us pictures and videos the next day. Worth every penny!
