This was our first trip to Destin and we knew we wanted to experience some sort of boat tour during our visit. After visiting many of the other boat tour websites and researching the reviews, I booked 2 separate tours with The Sea Blaster. Our first tour was for the Thursday evening fireworks show. The captain parked us so it looked like we were directly underneath the firework explosions and the colors and streams of sparkles looked like they would literally rain down on top of us. It was amazing! Our group consisted of 5 people with ages ranging from 11 to 50 years old. We all agreed it was hands down the best fireworks show we had ever seen live.
For the next day we booked a snorkeling dolphin cruise. Again, our boat captain put us in the right place to be able to view the dolphins at a pretty close range. The snorkeling was fun, but there is a small area where most of these tour boats drop the tourists to snorkel, so it was very crowded. So many people in a small area made it very hard to snorkel without bumping into others, and so much sand was kicked up off the bottom from the people moving around and it made the water murky and hard too see the fish in places. But there it was till nice as our group had some people who had never experienced snorkeling before and we had some young ones who appreciated the shallow parts to be able to navigate easier. Still despite this, we had a great time on this excursion also. The crew was high energy and upbeat and went out of their way to make sure everyone not only felt safe but had a great time.
If you are on the fence about which boat to book a tour with, then make sure you book with this crew. You will not be disappointed.

We booked a dolphin viewing trip on the Sea Blaster in mid June when things were just opening up after being closed down from the Corona Virus. We were unable to book the dolphin viewing/snorkel combo because they are dredging the jetty which is where they go for snorkeling. We were disappointed but understood. They guys on the Sea Blaster made us forget about being disappointed.
We rode around the bay listening to fun music, looking at the beautiful water and drinking our fill of beer and wine. The guys on the Sea Blaster made the trip fun even though the dolphin viewing was not all that great. We did see some dolphins but they were not visible for very long, not their fault really. We did get to see a manta ray for quite a while and that was great.
Overall we had a great time and I would recommend booking a trip on the Sea Blaster because it was so fun!

We took the sunset cruise last Monday and it was a great time. For the last 7 years we have always went on the other sunset cruise available with the same kind of boat. This week their boat was out of service so we decided to give the Seablaster a chance and it did not disappoint! We had 22 in our group that ranged from 5-80 years old and everyone loved it. Can't remember the guys names but they were a blast and made it fun for everyone.

My family of 10 decided to take the afternoon dolphin cruise on the Sea Blaster and were not disappointed. The crew were fantastic. We saw several dolphins while jamming out to some great tunes. Beer on tap, soda and water included made this even better experience. We highly recommend when in Destin or surrounding area to check out the Original Sea Blaster. You won't be disappointed. Don't forget to tip the crew.

We were so excited for this excursion but left incredibly disappointed. We did the 2 hour sunset/dolphin excursion. I had no idea it was just going to be a bunch of drunk adults who took the whole "open bar" to heart. Holy cow - drunk middle aged men and women acting as if they had never had a drink before in their life. A middle age frat party. The guys working the boat were fine and the blasting music is clearly part of the party atmosphere but this boat clearly attracts those who like cheap beer and jugs of rose. Not at all appropriate for kids - both of mine hated it. We had done a similar boat in Chicago and it was awesome. It would be best if they had a dedicated kids ride.

This is probably my 6th time doing this cruise and never get tired of it. It’s always a different fun experience. Looking forward to going again soon. Oh and we saw TONS of dolphins. Everyone on the boat had an excellent time singing and dancing from the time we left the boat slip up until we returned.

Our family of 5 was looking for a thrilling boat ride as well as being able to see dolphins! These guys delivered! We were hesitant when we arrived at the dock and saw a long line of people waiting to get on the boat. Thinking it would be overcrowded and not fun...we were wrong! We sat at the very back of the boat and had the best seats! Music was fun, drinks were unlimited and the crew made it fun! Dolphins were plentiful! We loved how the captain was able to get the dolphins to swim along behind the boat! We will defiantly return! Thank you for a great time Sea Blaster!

Our family took the Sea Blaster sunset dolphin cruise and it was amazing! We saw lots of dolphins and the crew was super friendly and entertaining! There were people of all ages and everyone had a great time. They played fun music and served complimentary water, sodas, beer and wine. The crew was very attentive and let the kids drive the boat and honk the horn. The last half of the trip they opened up the boat full throttle and it was a blast speeding across the ocean! We absolutely loved it and will do it again when we come back!

This was suppose to be a family friendly dolphin cruise looking for dolphins. I felt like I was on a booze cruise with loud music. I could not even hear my children right next to me. I tried to get a video of my children hearing their experiences seeing dolphins for the first time and I just gave up after 22 seconds that I couldn’t hear them. We asked them to turn it down and it was so minimal that for the rest of the cruise I held my hands over my kids ears for over half of the cruise and only really saw one pod of dolphins. They were more interested in getting people drunk and dancing instead of learning about dolphins and the special spots they see them the most and just being family friendly. One of the drink servers even said to me that he needed to drink and being crazy just to be able to deal with the people and these cruises. If you want to party and like loud music, this is definitely the cruise for you. If not, definitely not recommend!!!!

This tour completely exceeded all of my expectations! We had 8 people ranging from 3 to 54 and everyone had a blast! Remi and Kenneth were so focused on making sure every person on board had a great time. They were dancing, doing sign language to the songs and serving drinks. Quite possibly the best tour I’ve done in my 48 years. Highly recommend!!

Does Alan Laird still own the SEA BLASTER or get a kick back?
Written May 16, 2018
Alan Laird is not affiliated with this boat.
Also, the plaque over the window is in memory of a Captain that passed away. Not an owner or current captain of the boat. Sorry for any confusion.

We like to go down to the Harbor and spend some time boat watching, shopping, and drinking a beverage so we book our trips in person. However it looks like you can book online or call them. We check the forecast before choosing our date, and if you are going in the summer when it's hot we recommend going on the early cruises because it does really get hot on the boat!

What if it rains during the time our cruise is scheduled?
Written June 27, 2017
They will call you to reschedule, and if you cant reschedule make sure you told them you will pay when you get there (that way you ate not out the money) if you are making reservations. I strongly don't recommend making the reservations online.

is it possible to have a private cruise and how much would that be?
Written July 5, 2016
I don't know either. I do have to say it would not be as fun if you went on just a private cruise though. Sea Blaster is a party boat. You will love it!! I promise!! You get to meet lots of new people. The crew does an excellent job of getting the party spirit going. Our family doesn't do the whole "party thing" but we absolutely loved it!! Is it because you're wanting a more romantic type of thing? If so, there's other private cruises you're able to take, I'm sure. Just google it. I'm sure there's lots of places!! :)

I purchased the dolphin tour from Groupon. Thinking about adding the snorkeling when we get there. Is it worth it?
Written May 23, 2016
We go on the snorkeling cruise every year. $30 for adult. I think it's a great value..the best bang for your buck. Snorkeling, dolphins and usually lots of them, friendly-playful staff, non stop beverages on way back (wine and beer included). Nearly 3 hours of great fun. What else can you do for $10/hour? If you know of anything that is a better value please let me know. Parasailing was fun but actually only in the air for about 15 minutes and it cost 55-65/person.

Is this a no-smoking boat? We are traveling with our grandchildren and excited about the possibility of dolphin watching.
Written October 18, 2015
The back 2 seats are designated for smoking. There wasn't any smokers on our cruise though. We brought our 2 little boys with us and they loved it! Even if there is people smoking, it'll be blown towards the back of the boat. It shouldn't bother you at all. :)
