Clean by most standards, very well maintained and though out. Many bring dogs. NIce beach, trails and very kid-friendly with swings, play houses and tree-houses. Plenty of benches to rest should you wish. Nice!

This "island" is within Sandestin Resort and situated along Choctawhatchee Bay in Walton County. Jollee encompasses a very small area so unless you are staying within the resort, it may make little sense to visit. It is peaceful and typically sparsely occupied by other visitors. Nice way to relax and bc you are very near all amenities you can retreat to civilization quickly!…

Jolee was adjacent to our resort, so it made a nice walk and is a great place to relax and enjoy the bay view. Fish were jumping every few seconds. Sitting by the water, it felt about ten degrees cooler.

We have been visiting Joie Island since our kids were under 5 (oldest is about to be 21). We enjoy walking around, watching the tide, looking for critters, watching storms roll in; there is a little playground for kids under 12...though mine still like to climb around (nostalgia!); there are swings for kids and swing benches... remember to bring water and snacks. We always do and it makes the trip last longer and more enjoyable. One will get hot and hungry after some time on Joie Island. So...after looking below...we also had scavenger hunts with the kids and wore our bathing suits. There is a little 'unofficial' beach area that can be splashed around in (with parents within arm's reach). It's also possible to kayak/canoe (for a fee) over from the marina (which is also a LOT of fun...just bring water/snacks!).…
