Skydive DeLand was established in 1982 and is known as the Skydiving Capital of the World. We are open every day of the year and our customers, from beginners to professionals, make thousands of jumps each year. Skydive DeLand offers two popular methods for beginners to make their first skydive. The Tandem Skydive, which is the safest and fastest way for a first timer to make a jump, and the Accelerated Free Fall program (AFF) which teaches people to become certified skydivers. Skydive DeLand has a full-service restaurant and bar on site, The Perfect Spot, which offers great food and a fun atmosphere every day of the week. Come in, relax, and watch the skydivers through the glass wall or on the deck while you grab a bite to eat.

This is the best thing you'll probably experience in your life. Do it.

Its about 1hour away from Orlando, and is typical of most Sky Dive Centers.

Be prepared to spend 3-4 hours there. They are very nice, professional, flexible etc. they are not pushy like others. Pay for the jump and wait your turn in line.

Book a time and if you are a bit late dont worry you'll jump when a slot comes.

Pay for the video you will get a dedicated jumper with you and the videos are professionally done and shots are great.

A tremendous experience.

I booked my first tandem jump online while on vacation in Daytona Beach and it was a very simple process. The staff were all super friendly and helped with everything I needed from start to finish. Rodrigo was my instructor and he did a fantastic job throughout the whole experience. The videography was also top notch and I would recommend this to all people jumping for the first time.

Will Never Forget

This was my first time skydiving. I was recommended to go here and to say the least, I had the best experience and most importantly, I felt safe. They also put a whole video together of my jump which looked like the trailer of a tv show.

Have backup plans if you're a tourist

My boyfriend and I are both from Boston and we decided that we wanted to go skydiving for my birthday. That being said, the whole trip we planned to FL was based on this experience. I did my research online and this facility was one of the highest rated ones in the US, hence why we picked it. Our jump was scheduled for Saturday morning, already paid for online. When we arrived we watched the required safety video, signed some paperwork, then they told us to wait outside until our names were called. We arrived at 11am and waited 3.5 hours until finally they called some names (people that were before us) and they jumped. Once everyone who jumped came down they announced that the facility was closed for the day. Confused and disappointed, my boyfriend and I went into the office and inquired about what was going on. They told us that it was too windy (although others JUST jumped) and that we should come back tomorrow morning at 8am. Without fuss we agreed and came back the following morning at exactly 8am. Regardless of being early, they made us wait 3 hours again just to say that the facility is closed for the day AGAIN due to weather. I understand that weather is out of their control, but they can look at a forecast and tell us whether they are open for the day instead of making us wait long hours. I think this facility is more for locals than tourists. If you do go here, be prepared for them to close the facility at any time.

Tandem First Timers!

Thanksgiving Day 2020 our family of 6, with 5 jumpers and 1 who rode up in the co-pilot seat, took a leap of faith.
Our tandem instructors and videographers made the experience smooth and flawless. Everyone at Skydive Deland was personable, engaging, knowledgeable & comforting. Thank you all for making this happen for us. We'll never forget it!
I can't remember everyones name but Frazer, Carlos, Lucas, Rodrigo and the others...you are the best!

This was the most blissful and exhilarating experience. Everyone was very kind and willing to answer questions from check in all the way until the jump. Fraser was relaxed and very informative and always made me feel safe and comfortable! I will for sure be back with them!

Bucket list experience!

Skydiving has ironically been one of the peaceful adventures I’ve ever had. The beautiful view and the beautiful breeze calmed me down. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to do my first tandem skydive. They were very fast in getting my jump and very kind. Fraser was amazing and made my experience memorable-talk about a skydiver specialist. He has been doing it for 20 years, which eased my initial nerves. If nothing has happened to him by then, then why would anything happen to me??
The video and pics were also top notch!
I’ll be back!

Excellent experience

The quality of the tandem instructors was exceptional. We are a family with 3 people that were tandem jumping for the first time. We were in great hands from beginning to end! Carlos and Frazer were extremely experienced, professional and personable. They made this experience one we loved and will repeat. We ended up adding another diver from our family at the last minute and Rodrigo joined our group. He was also great! We also got video and photos. I think the photographers name is Megan. She was great too! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Skydive DeLand, Carlos, Frazer and Rodrigo!

This was my third tandem jump with these guys and it was, once again, really mind blowing. I was of course less scared than the previous jumps so I enjoyed it more, and the staff makes the whole experience even better, they're very friendly, answer all the questions you might have before jumping, and are very knowledgeable. I do recommend you go for it at least once in your life :)

we had a shaky start due to some scheduling snafu's but these guys are golden!! my sister is a 10 year cancer survivor with some significant mobility issues. this has always been on her bucket list. these guys treated her like royalty. they worked around every disability issue with grace, professionalism, and care. my sister had a fabulous time and we have hundreds of pictures to enjoy the memory. i highly recommend!
