Played this course on March 2, 2016. First sign of trouble was the place was almost deserted. The fairways were mostly dead grass and bare patches of sand. The worst part of it was the fact that the greens were unputtable. Even the putting green was horrible. At one time this was probably a very nice course, but now it... More

My husband and I had gotten used to playing this course several times annually, when visiting Deland. It had started out a bit rough, but work was being done and greens and fairways had improved steadily. A year ago, we enjoyed several rounds of golf, followed by fine upscale lunchs (choices like fresh beet and goat cheese salad) and draft... More

Played with 3 others at Sandhill on Wed, Jan 14. The front 9 was the most pitiful looking course I have ever played. Tee boxes were fair at best. Fairways were bumpy and the grass was sparse. The greens were a disgrace. You could not differentiate the fringe from the green. Most were devoid of grass and had patches of... More

Sandhill is a nice course and everything is well maintained. The fees are reasonable and Veterans get a discount. There is no water hazards on the course but the woods make up for the missing water! The pro-shop is small and friendly as are all of the employees. The 19th hole is a bar and restaurant that has a nice... More

My Dad and I came to Sandhill G.C. while visiting Deland. Upon arriving, we were informed that a group was playing a scramble on the front nine and asked to play the back. There was a gentleman playing alone waiting to tee-off, then a foursome of walkers ahead in the fairway that were playing slow. The gentlemen, being accustomed to... More

I just played this course on a Sunday morning with two buddies and we really enjoyed it! The course is short but tight and while it plays a little easier some but it's not a joke - with tight fairways and small greens. Not perfect condition - but pretty darn good! Everybody was very friendly and it was not crowded.... More

Went to this golf course today with my two brother in laws. We each brought our 5 year old children. We were told that we had to pay for our kids to ride in the golf cart with us and that our children had to stay in the cart. When I asked to play the back 9 the manager said... More

A pretty course to give you the scenery of central Fl - big oaks, spanish moss, hawks and even a dozen or so sand cranes around the course. I played this course after not playing for a year and I appreciated that there's no water and playable sand and you can find and play your ball from the trees. That... More
