Was in Daytona for a month, went every Sunday for the 8:30am Mass, but the doors were always locked. Very disappointed. Called several times, and the voicemail jail always says it is open for service during the week and on weekends. Not true. Checked the website, saw nothing that said they were closed or that the hours were modified. Listened to the Bishop's message about COVID-19, which was neither informative nor comforting. Just non-specific party line type stuff. So far it is the only basilica in Florida I have not been able to visit. The worst part is every week the voicemail says they are open...but every week I went there and the front doors were locked shut.

The Basilica of St Paul is a historical Catholic church in the Daytona Beach area. It has an interesting background, and gorgeous Spanish influenced architecture. It's a very welcoming church for Catholics visiting the area, and for people from all walks of life. The priests are all friendly and active in the community. The Basilica puts on many community events, and service initiatives. Well worth a visit, and a great spiritual home.

Spiritually Uplifting and Peaceful! The daily Mass and homilies were very meaningful. We started our day and felt refreshed spiritually after each visit.

I love the beauty of this church inside and out. Went to a wedding there and the music was beautiful. I hope everyone that visits can experience this Basilica.
