Thoroughly enjoyed a drive for several hours through the Tiger Bay area. Many gorgeous plants and flowers to see and forested areas to enjoy.

Perfect for a Sunday afternoon outing to experience the great outdoors in it's natural habitat. So much of Florida nature to inhale!

If you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of Daytona and would like to get outdoors still, Tiger Bay State Forest offers some change in scenery. We hiked the Buncombe Hill trail ( Although we were never on anything you could call a hill). The trailhead starts near Indian Lake and is an easy 2 mile loop. The trail traverses several ecosystems and an interpretive guide is located in the trailhead sign in box. Be sure to sign in and out as rangers will use that to look for lost souls. Seriously though, the trail is wide and easy to follow, but this is Florida and there are snakes, boars, panthers and bears. The only thing we saw was a small snake, though. The Forest is a few use area on the honor system. It’s $2/person. Put your fee in the envelope and Dropbox at the fee station. That nominal fee helps with trail and park upkeep. …

It's an ok place, can get really got in the sun. No food or drink pavilions so bring your own water. Hard to really call it an attraction except in the most technical terms of the word.
