This a very comfortable, well-run venue. However, the reason for my lower review is that I have been there four times and each time the sound system either malfunctioned or sounded dreadful. I have been to Oldies shows there, but probably won't go back because...More

I have been here to see Boz Scaggs and Jerry Seinfeld, two totally different types of shows. The Theater is beautiful and reminds me of a smaller version of Radio City Music Hall in New York City. You can see the stage from any seat...More

I think it's nice to have a cocktail at a venue like this and I think it is also nice when they are fairly reasonable, which they were, and you can take it into the show with you. My problem comes with leaving the bar...More

We have attended a number of programs at the Peabody in Daytona Beach. We recently went to the London Symphony. Wonderful evening of classsical music and world reknown director playing the violin. Many offerings are presented throughout the year.

The venue is small enough to be easy to navigate. The acoustics are quite good. Free parking options available.

Went to see Ron White there. Acoustics and seating are good. Could use a seat update though. The drink and food situation is poor...eat before you get there and order doubled at the bar.

The seats that I like best are in section OR1, row M or N. Gives you are great view of the stage. Seats 1 and 2 in those rows.

Travel from MCO airport to Peabody Auditorium in Daytona (4 Replies)
Hi, I will be flying into MCO Airport tomorrow and was wondering the fastest travel route to get from the airport to the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona. I will be picking up a rental car at noon. Thanks!

We always take the 417 toll road that is just outside the airport to I-4 and follow the signs once you get to I-4 east to Daytona Beach. If you will be paying the tolls in cash, you pretty much get in the right lane as you approach the toll booths and watch for a lighted green light above the lane. Stop and pay the toll. If you get the toll pass with your rental, you’ll just stay on the road and not stop. I believe the total tolls in cash are less than $10.00 each way, but there aren’t...More
Safe hotel near the Peabody Auditorium (4 Replies)
My 9 year old daughter and I are coming to Daytona Beach for a dance comp. at the Peabody Auditorium on May 15th. Just wondering where would be the closest/ safest etc., for us as we're travelling alone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

All the major hotels right around there should be fine. The Hilton is the closest, being a block away, and would be my first choice. If you’re going looking at one of the smaller hotels near-by, check the Tripadvisor reviews for it and see what the negative ones have to say.
