We went here 20 years ago, and everything was bustling. Now, everything is closing, and a rat actually ran across the sidewalk in front of us. Sad to see.

Great restaurants, clubs, museums, including a arcade museum, art and antique shops, and a minor league ball team, all in easy walking distance. Come for the chocolate factory tour and then be surprised by how much else the place has to offer.

A few shops and places to eat. Not a lot to do. Watch the homeless. There is a park across the street. Will not return.

It's a typical small downtown with typical small downtown problems. Stores closing, offering less and less. A few restaurants, local fare, trying to stay alive. Most shops are dull and uninteresting. If you want that old vibrant downtown feel go to Deland or Sanford they...More

There is always something to enjoy along Beach St. The Chocolate Shop (Angell and Phelps...Yummy!) Have a cigar and and glass of wine, shop the unique little shops and enjoy feeling like you have known the people for years!

Shopping is plentiful from antiques to jewelry to fine food. Be sure to visit one of the many restaurants for a dining experience you will not soon forget.

Spending a whole week AT the beach is great. Spending a whole week ON the beach is different. Beach Street gave us a chance to still be on vacation but do a little exploring. We love Angel and Phelps. Yum! Daytona Magic is always a...More

Beach Street, which is just across the bridge to Daytona Beach, actually is sort of the "main" street of town with city offices, etc. What makes is charming is an evolving collection of restaurants, pubs, retail stores (including a chocolate factory with free samples, a...More

Beach street has collected a strange concoction of shops. They had a few nice vintage/oddity stores, but not much in terms of store number. Nearly everything closes at 5:00pm, so make sure it’s an early shopping trip.

To find out the exact answer, it's best to call the Ormond Beach Municipal people who would know - or the Ormond Beach Police who normally attend and control the crowds at Bike Week.

Absolutely pet friendly. You may have to abstain from going into some shops. Street itself is very pet friendly.
