The only beach I know of that you can actually park on the beach and spend the day. A drive down the beach was unique. White sand and never ends, ample lodging, great food. Tons of things to do.

this beach is absolutely breath taking.. It goes on and on. Never seems crowded, it is so huge.. When the tide is out, its at least 200 yds. wide. The water is not very deep and safe for children. There are vendors with beach chairs/beach toys/ bikes/ boogie boards/4 wheelers/ and food. Lots of restaurants you can walk to from... More

Nicest beach I have ever been too, clean water, clean sand. There is plenty of walking room to the ocean, plenty of room to lay out/ beach activities.

I really like Daytona beach, parking can be a challenge but all the cool places to shop, and eat make it worth the search for parking, the pier is especially cool with the crab shack on it, pier closes at 8 pm, there is live music at some of the bars and eateries, come out and run your feet thru the... First time in Daytona and first time seeing cars driving on the beach. Little nerve racking at first with so many kids playing in the sand. There are areas where cars are not allowed near the pier. But for $10 you can set up camp right next to your car and avoid the long walk with your gear. Best part... More

Excellent beach that you can drive. Find a place you like and park to go into the ocean or just sunbathe or enjoy the view.

Always loved the beach and knew I would live near one since I was a kid. So yes, I am "living the dream" Would not want to live... More

The beach was lovely, but people are very anti-dog, even if it is a service animal and the dog is well-behaved. I preferred Amelia Island to Daytona because Amelia Island was much more dog-friendly.
