    Best beach in Florida!
Been coming here for over 45 years when our kids were small and grown up. Now we live here in Leesburg Florida and have been here several times over the past 1-1/2, even with our grandkids! Daytona Beach if my favorite beach! Just wish they would update the Boardwalk with new stores, game rooms and restaurants.

    Very nice beach
The beach is open to the public. Very clean and popular during the beach season. Bring your own chairs or rent two chairs, table and umbrella until 5 pm for $40 per day. Vehicles are allowed on the beach and they offer life guards and monitor the beach conditions for your safety. Very limited parking near the beach.

    Worlds most famous beach
We went at sunrise and did yoga and took a nice walk. We went back with lunch, paid $20 to drive onto the beach and tailgate for lunch, then another dip in the ocean. The surf is a little rough bc of an incoming storm, but warm Great family atmosphere today and always has beach chairs to rent

We spent 3 days here on the beach at our hotel bahama house and was a perfect spot. The beach has the sturdiest sand I've ever seen on a beach , guess that's why it can be driven upon. Since it sits upon the Atlantic Ocean, the water is very clean and the blue skies here are like no other.

    Coming to the beach
We came to Daytona for our wedding anniversary and come here every year for about 15 years! We stay at the Dolphin Club which is about 5 miles from the beach! Since the hurricane last year, they haven’t replisinded the beach and went high tide comes in, goes up to the sea wall, which is disappointing, since we like to walk on the beach! We went out on the pier which was nice watching people fishing! Also saw a pod of dolphins swimming which was a bonus! Also love the Cracked Egg Diner which is great for breakfast

Daytona Beach at one time was awesome. Now it sucks. It’s dirty and low rent. Zero charm, no vibe. Not worthy of a Florida beach

Lots of fun driving on the beach and taking a dip in the water. For whatever reason the gate was open and we did not have to pay entrance fee (bonus).

A little disappointed that they haven’t replenish the beach! We enjoyed walking the beach went the tide was out, but a little upset that people throw cigarettes all over!

What made Daytona Beach unique was the hard and flat sand. World Speed Records were set there. Volusia County has totally destroyed their most valuable and Tourist magnet asset by dumping that soft trash sand on the beach and restricting driving the entire length. And, you can’t drive from Granada to Ponce Inlet on the beach, anymore. .If you can’t do that, it ain’t “World Famous” anymore.
Very sad place now.

The views were amazing, I took so many pictures and knocked a few things off my bucket list! I took the dolphin and manatee tour on the Indian river, the water was beautiful and the lighthouse was spectacular! The staff at Wyndham Ocean Walk Resort were all friendly, helpful and very courteous! I even got to work on my sea shell collection

Awful. We drove over 3 hours to get here with family and after 5 mins we got back in the car and drove to Orlando.
Daytona beach looks nothing like the photos. Everything is run down, the beach is disgusting and there was homeless people everywhere. I’m sure it was a beautiful vacation spot at one point but not anymore.

My friend warned me this wasn’t a nice beach.
I’m here right now and it smells really bad. The bathrooms are filthy. The sand is flat and looks green. I don’t remember it being like this years ago. I’ll make the best out of it.
