Ponce Inlet is beautiful

Nice break from the beach. Quiet, historical, great gift shop, beautiful location, drive down A1A with the top down - can't beat it!

The grounds are fabulous, the history of the lighthouse is interesting. The climb to the top of the lighthouse takes a little time BUT well worth it.

I just love touring lighthouses and the one that is located at the Ponce de Leon Inlet is just remarkable. This lighthouse was built on the south side of Mosquito Inlet back in 1835. It is incredible to learn that the Seminole Indians attacked this lighthouse, smashing the glass in the lantern room and setting the wooden stairs on fire.... More

My 9 year old granddaughter couldn't climb the steps of the lighthouse fast enough. The lighthouse is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. Worth the visit.

I am unable to walk up in it, knee issues. The friendly staff informed us that every 22 steps there is a lookout place and amazing views on all the lookouts. The staff was friendly in the gift shop. The grounds are well kept.

We were looking for something to do so we decided to go by the lighthouse. It was very informative and the grounds are well maintained.

A trip to the Daytona Beach area would not be complete without a visit to the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse. Tour the lighthouse along with the lighthouse keeper cottages and artifacts. There's even a video of early Nascar racing on the beach!

If youre a history buff, this stop on your vacation is a must do. Its not too crowded, has a beautiful setting and is easily maneuvered. The written history on the self guided tour is very interesting. I would have rated this 5 star but the staff in the gift shop (who looked to have been retired and probably needed... More

This is a must see if you love lighthouses and have any knowledge about the Fresnel lens, because there is an entire museum here dedicated to them. Go in the evening when it's cooler and not as crowded, especially if you have kids along. Lots of history here and a very beautiful place.
