A trip to the Daytona Beach area would not be complete without a visit to the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse. Tour the lighthouse along with the lighthouse keeper cottages and artifacts. There's even a video of early Nascar racing on the beach!

If youre a history buff, this stop on your vacation is a must do. Its not too crowded, has a beautiful setting and is easily maneuvered. The written history on the self guided tour is very interesting. I would have rated this 5 star but the staff in the gift shop (who looked to have been retired and probably needed... More

This is a must see if you love lighthouses and have any knowledge about the Fresnel lens, because there is an entire museum here dedicated to them. Go in the evening when it's cooler and not as crowded, especially if you have kids along. Lots of history here and a very beautiful place.

The Ponce Lighthouse is a great place to visit in Ponce Inlet, FL. Climb to the top and enjoy the views of the inlet, New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach. Bring your camera for some excellent shots.

The museum is set up as an outdoor village, so avoid on rainy days. On a nice day, though, this is a great place to take the whole family. The best part is the lighthouse (of course) that you can go up to the top of and see for miles! The stairs are very steep and narrow, so don't look... More

This historic and beautifully maintained lighthouse is a "must see" in the Daytona area. 222 steps to a fabulous view--"disappearing island", ocean waves, boats coming in and out of the inlet, and surfers and parasails. The waters off this inlet are those described in Stephen Crane's "The Open Boat". The gift shop is also unique, and, on a cold day,... More

If you can make it to the top you will be greeted by an amazing 360 view. Try to go just before closing because the sunsets are unbelievable. We viewed the buildings first (very educational) and left the actual lighthouse at the end and stayed until the groundskeeper came to lock it up.

Great place, but after your first visit it gets boring. The lens museum and climbing the lighthouse are definitely the best parts. Short visit.
