- Esc160976Orihuela, Spain179 contributionsDaytona International Speedway has always been on my list to visit. Having visited Florida numerous times, for some reason we never made it down to Daytona Speedway before. On this trip I visited with a friend who like me has a larger than normal interest in cars :-) We booked the tour easily in the reception area of the Speedway next to the museum. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and told us he worked at the speedway since he was a young boy (he was now in his 60´s). He told us about many really cool things he experienced over the years. On our visit there was no track activity. Some people might find that dissapointing, but for me it actually suited. It enabled us to actually walk on the track and sign the finish line. We were also allowed on the podium with the number 1, 2 and 3 position. All in all a very amazing experience. I always tip the tour guide after every tour I do in the United States, however this tour guide didnt take it. He said ¨your interest in our speedway is enough for me¨Very nice of him of course, but still I felt a bit ¨wrong¨. Anyway, very nice of him. After the tour we visited the museum. This is an experience in its own. There is lots of cars on display and lots of memorabilia. For someone like me that likes memorabilia in particular this was an amazing visit.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten June 27, 2024
- Ramsey FSan Antonio, Texas79 contributionsDaytona Beach (the actual hard sand beach) was famous for motor car racing long before today's race track was built. I went to see the site... and visit the museum attached to the race complex. Museum has many artifacts and stories. I enjoyed them all.Visited August 2024Traveled soloWritten August 7, 2024
- Eric Cartmen1 contributionThe 4 day pass we got was great. 4 races 4 days. The racing was amazing. Watrhing the mclaren lead the 24 hours of daytona I consider to be the greatest moments of my life. That all changed when the car broke while in the lead and made me sad. But other than that the seats were good they had restarants inside the grandstands and overall I want to go back.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten October 1, 2024
- mschmidt31San Jose, California656 contributionsAmazingly huge grandstands. When it's full, it's really hard to get in and out of. We parked at Houligan's for an exit to the east. The food and drink options are pretty basic. I thought that there might be a signature food here, but not really. Most people get pizza or chicken fingers and fries.Visited February 2025Traveled with friendsWritten February 19, 2025
- John PNorth Port, Florida170 contributionsOur Cub Scout Pack had a great time camping inside the race track during Scout Days. Such a cool event with scouts from all over the country participating. Scouts got to sign their name on the finish line and walk the race track, they had a movie night, tram tour of the facility and driver meet and greet with tour of the garages.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 19, 2024
- Benjamin E2 contributionsThe speedway is a great place to visit. We were there for the Rolex 24, so we were able to go almost anywhere we wanted. Grandstands, infield, garage area. Lots of walking, lots of great vantage points to watch from, lots of great racing. The weather was cold this year, but the speedway can’t do anything about that!Visited January 2025Traveled with friendsWritten February 9, 2025
- Amy YMoneta, Virginia15 contributionsGreat experience for the price. There is lot's of good informal and great pictures to be had. You're on a tram most of the tour, so keep that in mind when you visit. There were cars on the track the day they we were there, so that was great to see. The museum at the end is a must-see.Visited February 2025Traveled with friendsWritten February 25, 2025
- P J AverySt. Augustine, Florida1,179 contributionsSecond visit to the track for the Xfinity race. (2014 was the first visit). Truly this the Mecca of Stock Car racing!! The changes from Daytona Rising project that was completed in 2016 are awesome. Main concourse wide and cleaned with ample amount of food selections/restrooms. Friendly staff always willing to assist. A must visit if you are stock car racing fan!!Visited February 2025Traveled with familyWritten February 16, 2025
- Denise D20 contributionsGreat time at both Supercross and flat track. Amazing facility. Parking was a little rough. Signage could have been better, but it’s a huge place and sometimes you just have to figure it out. Staff was great and very helpful. Amazed that we could bring in our own food and drinks. Wear your walking shoes and take some time to explore. Lots to see and beautiful views from higher levels.Visited February 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten March 8, 2025

There was plenty of food stands bathrooms well kept. Probably the cleanest concert festival experience I’ve ever had. Plenty of space for breathing room. Loved it and will return!Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 12, 2024

The Daytona circuit for American motor sports enthusiasts is one of the historical sanctuaries.
The guided tour of the circuit and the museum is very interesting and well done, the price is more than affordable. The museum is small but very beautiful, with very well kept and interesting cars and historical memorabilia. The video that retraces all the victories of the famous NASCAR 500 Miglia is also beautiful.
It is definitely worth the visit.

Me and my wife went to our first Daytona 500 race on Sunday Feb. 16th. We arrived in the infield parking at 8am and waited on the Fan Zone to open at 8:30am. After being at the Fan Zone for we decided to to catch a tram that took us to the turn one entrance we arrived at around 10:30am. The lines to it into the speed way was backed up and moving very slow. We waited there for over 3 hours to get in the speedway and missed the start on the race. They know the this was a sold out race and should have planned better. There was only 12 metal detectors for what I would same was around 10000 people.

I was in Daytona for a conference and I wanted to do a local activity and so i signed up for NASCAR Racing Experience at Daytona International Speedway. I spent a couple hundred dollars booking for this experience and I was told it take 2 hours for the entire experience so I was excited for it. But then I was in and out of my car from the parking lot in 15 minutes. It was very poorly organized and I showed up and I was asked to sign the waiver forms and then they told me I wasn't even allowed to take photos and was forced to buy the video add in which ended up costing me more money and then they walked me over - got into the car, went for 3 laps and got out and walked out. I didn't learn anything about the car I was in and driver who I rode along with barely said anything and was quiet the entire ride. I came to learn about NASCAR and instead I can't believe I spent about 300 USD for a very unsatisfactory experience. The team there really didn't try to make it special for you esp if you are doing it for the first time. I was very disappointed.

Being in Daytona Beach we simply had to pop by here and learn about the whole speedway experience. Having driven right around the outside of the whole grounds we eventually found the entrance to the free car park where the museum and tours were located. Having found the main entrance we decided that we would like to take the next tour. A whole miscellaneous group of us clambered onto a trailer being pulled by a truck being driven by a chatty, chirpy older gentleman who then drove us around the outside and the inner track of the speedway sharing stories and anecdotes all the way. It was good to visit the winners enclosure and then to view the track from the Toyota stand way up high. A few brave souls were on the race track being driven by veteran racers or splashing out and driving themselves. After the tour we spent quite some time visiting the museum which is packed full of cars including the last winner of the 2023 Daytona 500. A very worthwhile stop off on our road trip of the Eastern coastline of the USA.

What an amazing venue! The sheer size was overwhelming and should be considered one of the modern wonders of the world! Supercross was a very fun inexpensive event that kicked off bike week! Americans came from all over the country to pray to GOD, sing the national anthem and watch some really FAST bikes!!!!!

I took the Daytona Speedway tour not knowing anything about racing except the name. Of course the tour did not make me an expert but it did make me appreciate the scale and magnitude of the Daytona 500 and its massive home to other kinds of motor sports. Photos cannot compare to seeing the place in person. Value for money, the 1 hour tour takes the visitor to the speedway, the stands, the pits and the museum.Highly recommended if you visit the Daytona area.

We took the morning tour, and when I bought the tickets there were only 10 available for our party of 14, so when we arrived, we asked if there was room on the tour for the other four people to go along, to which they said no, and we respected that. When everybody got on the trolley for the tour, there was so much space available that it didn't make sense. Those that went on the tour, loved it. We also got tickets for the magic of lights at night, which was a complete waste. We thought we got to drive on the speedway, but you actually drive through the parking lot and under the stands, you go around only once and at the end, you can purchase food and pictures. The lights are really pretty, but you don't need to pay extra to see them in the parking lot... It just didn't make sense. Big disappointment. Im sure if we come to a race it is a completely different ball game!

The speedway has reopened for tours. You must get your tickets onsite for the basic tour but you can order VIP tickets online in advance. The basic tours sell out fast!! We arrived by 9:30 and the earliest tour we could get was 11:30. By 10:00 tours for the entire day were sold out so I strongly suggest going early. There is a decent museum you can visit while you wait and admission is free with the purchase of a tour ticket. You can also get a variety of souvenirs at the gift shop. The tour takes you through the tunnel to the track where you see pit row, cars running on the track, the lake, campground and much more. During a stop you get to check out the grandstand seats where you get a great view of the track and all that is happening there. This tour is a must do for racing fans.

First visit to FL we did the tour with two young children. Absolutely worth it. Our 9 year old is really into racing. We visited FL again in perfect timing for the Coke Zero 400 race. First, the seats were section 111 row 8. The section was perfect right after turn 4 and two of the wrecks happened right in front of us because that is such a fast important turn. If the seats were available I would have gone higher than row 8 to see across the field to the other side. Sound decibels are very high so being ear protection. Most importantly I had read reviews recommending the radio scanner for kids. My son was able to listen to his favorite racer Joey Logano talk through the entire race and it also gave him good ear protection. I assumed I would rent on site the day of the race. Rent ahead of time! A few days before the race a representative from the track called me to upsell some of the packages etc. He asked me if I had any questions and I asked where to get the scanner. He said I could prepay $60 with him or $80 on-site. I reserved with him and I am so glad I did! They sold out of scanners! Only those with reservations could get one! So thankful that man called. My NASCAR angel. I would have had a very disappointed little boy. He had an amazing time and a great experience.

I confess to being in the what’s the point of oval racing. However, having taken a tour of the circuit as we were in the area I now have going to a race on my bucket list. Everyone at the speedway was very friendly and knowledgeable. Walking on the track gives you a whole new perspective on the racing. We went with low expectations and loved every minute. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone with even the slightest interest in motor sport.

It is not pleasant when they stand in front of you. But it is part of it. Maybe a thirty second stretch or ? If you are In a Wheelchair as my son , it is aggravating for three hours.

Are there handicapped areas in the grandstands? My wife and I are both mobility impaired and ride scooters.

Planning my first trip to the Daytona 500 this year. It looks like there are events at the Speedway in the days leading up to the event. If I only buy tickets for the race, does that entitle me to visit and participate on those days? Alternatively, if I only attend on Sunday, is there anything to see or do before the race that should be on my radar? Thank you!

I haven’t attempted the race before. But I’ve done the tour. The tour in itself is worth seeing

I am bringing my teenage son who has autism and is obese to the Daytona 500 this year. He loves the movie Cars and autoracing, and this is his senior trip with Dad. My main issue is, its too late to get a hotel room near the track, so we will likely stay near Orlando and drive over. My son is a very big kid and although he gets around okay, walking a great distance may be difficult. I don't need to be there when the green flag drops as we won't be there the whole race, maybe only 2 hours. Arrive a little late and leave a bit early- what are my best options for this? Thanks! Hi, we are both reasonably fit but we did see that there were many facilities for any disabled person, the staff are on hand all the time , lots of lifts etc. Suggest that you contact the customer service crew, who we are sure will be able to offer assistance. Hope you manage to have a wonderful experience.

Hi, me, my wife and two kids (9 and 13 yrs) travel to Florida from Norway, and will be in Daytona 17-20 February 2023. We would like to catch a race at Daytona.
Neither my wife or kids are very interested in cars or motorsports, so we would mainly go for the total experience, not for the race itself.
Is the crowd and general experience good for the 250 and 300 as well? Or should we spend the extra $$ on Daytona 500?
Written July 10, 2022
The entire race week is fantastic. The crowd will be greater on Sunday for the 500. The crowd is massive and extreme delays should be expected, allow plenty of time to get into the speedway and to leave after the race. Since the rest of your family are not race fans you may want to consider leaving before the end of the race.
