What a beautiful day we had out on the Peace River looking for sharks teeth and fossils! Patrick was patient, very thorough, and took meticulous attention to safety conditions, but maximum yield on our findings! The perfect combo for locating the good stuff.

Patrick took the extra time to really make it fun for our two 7-year old boys also, which made the day even more rewarding watching the excitement and wonder in the kids. But honestly the excitement and wonder was not lost on any of us adults either. We found SO many awesome teeth! One of our crew lost his carrying box with all his fossils and Patrick spent the last part of our trip swimming the river trying to find it for him. We didn't find it, but Patrick gave him all of his fossils he spent all day finding. It wasn't a drop in the bucket either, I'm talking pieces I've never held in my hand before. I mean, come on, we couldn't ask for a more considerate and attentive guide who actually felt more like a friend from the start.

Thank you Patrick for everything!

My family went out fossil hunting with Patrick this morning. He is super friendly and very helpful. He supplied us with all of the shovels and screens and gear we’d need as well as snacks and drinks. Patrick also helped my two children learn what fossils were which and how to determine what they are. My whole family enjoyed the trip completely and have a lot of fossils and shark teeth to remember this by. HIGHLY recommended!

We wanted to go out and explore the Peace River area for fossils and shark teeth.
Patrick was professional in his communication and one of the kindest and friendliest people we've ever met. He took time to explain what we would see as we were digging, told fantastic stories throughout the day, provided water and snacks, and when we said goodbye, he gave my kids all the fossils and teeth he personally found that day. Would give him 6 stars if we could!

My boyfriend and I recently went down for our fourth trip with Patrick; experience was fantastic as usual! Patrick is extremely knowledgeable about everything fossil you can find on the creek. He put us on a fantastic spot where we pulled up tons of beautifully colored teeth. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking to give fossil hunting a try. I’m sure we will be down for trip Number five sooner than later!

It was a fun day on the river!
Patrick is extremely knowledgeable about everything that we found, and he makes it more exciting because of his passion and enthusiasm for the hunt.
He makes it extremely easy to find fossils. He is very prepared, and makes it a very relaxed fun trip.

Honestly my expectations were exceeded because of the type of shark teeth that we found and the fossilized alligator tooth was a big surprise.

If you are looking for something a little bit different than the average weekend or day off, I would definitely recommend it if you love to be outdoors and around nature and have any interest in archaeology and fossils.

PS.
We didn’t see another human being the entire time on the river, which to me was amazing. For us getting away from the busy city and being that kind of environment was great.

Patrick was an awesome guide! Super knowledgeable and so patient with the kids (ages 2-10). This was a great family activity. Everyone was so excited and we found so many shark teeth and other cool fossils. Highly recommend using Patrick/Fossil Funatics!

I used an ergo baby carrier anytime my 2 year old didn’t want to walk or water got deeper on him. And I was still able to participate and he had a great time too.

We had an amazing adventure with Fossil Funatics! Patrick started off with an overview of what we would be searching for, then we packed up the canoe and headed upstream. He was very careful to point out any stumps or rocks lurking in the river, while also giving us a history lesson at the same time. Once we started digging and sifting, it was one fossil after another. We hauled in HUNDREDS of shark teeth, including a posterior Megalodon, a perfectly intact whale vertebra, and other goodies like gator teeth and dugong bone. We all had a BLAST and will absolutely book with Fossil Funatics again next time we are in the area.

We booked this trip last minute and was absolutely worth it! Patrick is very knowledgeable and friendly. We were a little late and he made sure we were able to stay in the water for the full 5 hours before leaving. We came with friends and our little kiddos and everyone enjoyed their time!If bringing little ones we suggest to bring a small inflatable raft for them to hang out in while making your way to and from the spot. Also makes a good way for the kiddos on the trip back.
