We stopped here on our way to our hotel in Miami. We thought it strange when we paid to enter that we were handed a flyer about the sargassum seaweed. Being from Florida, we expect some seaweed and are not bothered by some on the...More
I found this park driving around and it worth the $6 entrance fee per car (2+pp), great park to walk around or just enjoy the day on the beach, I went late in the afternoon during a week day and it was empty, great to...More
Granted I went in May during the week, but I found this state park to be deserted and lovely. I found the beaches empty, the parking lots convenient, and the ocean was... well, it's the ocean so it was amazing. If I had anything to...More
The state park is great. It is the northern most beach in Dania and offers huge amount of parking as well as a boat ramp and several other amenities like Whiskey creek snack bar and paddleboard and kayak rentals.
My wife and I visited this beach will on our anniversary. It wasn't too crowded. Very clean and the water wad pretty clear. There's nice picnic areas and you closer to the port so you can watch all the ships. It's not fast from the...More

We love walking along the canals and out to the ocean. We admire birds and other wildlife, and the occasional human. Once in a while we rent kayaks and get a closer view.

Hi sorry for the delay ... Really too far , a bike is quite a ride , I'd suggest a car rental - keep luggage in the trunk - and ther will be a parking fee ( not sure how much ) ... But if it's a real secluded beach your looking for it will be worth it as there is changing rooms there ... But you can also drive about 4 more miles south and go to Hollywood beach or broad walk -- restaurants line the broad walk ( like a board walk but paved stones ) lotsa people to see and resto's --- actually same beach just more south ... You'll enjoy either guarantee - but loyd beach you'll need I bring something to eat and drink ... There's a small snack place but I'm thinking your plane ride and airport day --- you'll want something better to eat :) ....

When we entered by car, didn't notice anything at the toll booth which prohibited food or water. I'd say there's no problem, as long as people properly dispose of any trash. Enjoy a great day at the park!
