It Is Truly an Amazing Museum!
Jan 2020
I visited this museum on a very cool weekday and it was time well-spent. I was drawn to the Chihuly exhibit of glass sculptures. The creative forms and intense colors were breathtaking. Other areas of interest to me include African sculptures and the Ardmore exhibit which were fascinating. The sculptures were detailed and beautifully painted.

Some amazing items on display, but others are not so amazing.

This small museum is on the first floor of the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts and is often closed, especially on weekend days, as it is often rented out as a party space, so check on opening hours before you go. Some items on display are truly amazing, but others are just so-so. Technically, there is no charge for entry, but I imagine that most visitors also tour the Wiener Museum, which has a small entry fee. Both museums are good destinations on a rainy day.

The Museum Has Two Names and Perhaps that is Why it is Not Well Known

Call in advance. The docent will give you a very informative and interesting tour, in addition to a short video. If you like Glass and Pottery, this is for you.

Amazing is right!

The Biophilia exhibit, and everything else in the gallery, was jaw-dropping! Amazing articles and brilliant artistic displays. It's a must-see. And the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts (upstairs in the same building) is similarly outstanding.

A Hidden (Dania) Gem!
Feb 2018 • Friends
My business partner told me about an exhibit he wanted to see: by a guy named Christopher Marley presenting something called 'Biophilia – A Dialogue with Art, Nature and Science.' Twenty years in the making, it was of beautiful 3-D pieces made with animal, mineral and plant specimens. Gorgeous, painstaking work with colorful, exotic creatures we'll never see in nature. But I had never heard of the venue. I called to ask if we could take photos and they said, "Of course." (Most galleries or museums would tell us to buy their book instead.) Sadly, because all pieces were behind glass, the reflections made photography impossible, but the pieces were striking enough to leave us with strong memories. The place is friendly: the ease of parking, the warmth of the reception, the loose and free feel ... and the brilliance of the artist ... made it a magical afternoon. This is a venue I will definitely watch for future exhibits and events, and I'll try the guided tour next time.

Truly Amazing
Jan 2018 • Couples
I have visited many museums and this one ranks way at the top. There are a variety of exhibits, some quite unusual and all wonderfully displayed. We took a guided tour. Our guide was excellent-very knowledgeable and fun to listen to, as were the receptionist and a curator, who we were fortunate enough to chat with. There was so much to see that I think we could have spent hours there, and we will certainly go back.If you are in the area, do not miss this attraction. Free parking and well worth the small admission price.

The Gallery of Amazing Things will not disappoint.
Dec 2017 • Couples
South Florida's Best Kept Secret. This gallery is more like a museum with all displays for sale. The gallery has the most amazing things that I have seen anywhere, I would call it a miniature Smithsonian Institute. The fossils are my personal favorite but the gallery has something for everyone. It will not disappoint.

Unique venue
Nov 2017 • Family
Not your typical museum. There is so much variety here that can entertain all ages. From paintings, to sculpture, stainless steel plane engine, precious stones, and so much more. Lots of free parking behind the venue and the location is easy to find. My kids had a blast.

An Amazing Place to Visit
Jan 2017
I went with a group of woman from the Red Hatters Society and we had a guided tour. The guide was excellent and we saw some wonderful works of art as well as a partial Chilhouly exhibit. We also had English tea - little sandwiches , pastries and a variety of teas. It was a wonderful afternoon, well worth the money -- a $10 "donation" for the guided tour and something for the lunch. I can't remember how much but it was not much.

Gallery Of Amazing Things exploration
Jul 2017 • Friends
A neighbor and I were casually walking by because my cousin had invited me to an event seminar there. Went in to explore and was pleasantly surprised to experience the superb ambiance and scenic quality of the museum. So glad to finally experience this gem right near where I live. Will definitely be coming back to this place for an extensive tour and stay for a longer period of time. The service by the staff was excellent.
