This passive park is very peaceful and serene, walking along the boardwalk takes you to a butterfly garden and other tranquil spots. A very nice woodsy building is a great venue for parties. The programs offered are wonderful. The staff is outstanding, today was a program about bee's. Nice hands on activities for kids and great learning experience for adults.... More

Was looking for someplace to take my 2 year old to kill a couple hours. This was a nice find. She loved checking everything out. It was a very pretty place to take pictures too.

Not one of my favorite parks...it offered two Boardwalked trails.Be sure and take the longer (a little over 1/2 mile) and see some beautiful homes and yachts! We did not see any picnic tables or playground. In my opinion, Snyder and TY park in the same vicinity are fabulous.

My husband I love walking in natural environments and observing. I enjoyed watching a heron hunt for food, crabs scurrying around. Listening to the birds' chatter and the squirrel bark. I enjoyed watching the boats, and the butterflies. Looking at the trees, flowers and ferns. It was a lovely afternoon relaxing I the Secret Woods.

Secret Woods is a perfect name for this place. It is hard to believe that is in the heart of a metropolitan area. Apart from hearing traffic from time to time, you would not know you were still in the city. There are two nice trails here; one is a mulch covered trail, the other is a boardwalk trail. I... More

I can't say enough about the beauty of this hidden little gem of a nature preserve! There were fun things to see around every corner! It was disappointing to see the terrible consequences of over population and poor civic responsibility on our waterways. It is very informative to children and adolescents to see the direct impact that each littering event... More

There are many trails, from very short going to the butterfly garden to medium at 1200 feet to long at 3200 feet. I liked this one the most as part of it parallels the river where you can watch the boats go by. Also on the far side you can see some amazing houses, but one was blocked from view... More

Not sure if it was the time of year but if so you might want to avoid February if you are going here expecting to see anything besides vegetation. The nature trails are nice and even elevated in most places. There just weren't any animals to be seen. The nature center probably has the nicest rest rooms of any public... More
