My dream is to go to Africa. Well, I feel like I have just been there!!! This place hands down is the BEST!! It is definitely NOT a tourist trap! I had the best time and learned so much about all the animals. Even before I stepped foot on the bus! It's all beautiful!! From the tortoise that walks around... More

Les Salisbury and his wife Elena operate a private animal preserve that they have a true passion for and joyously share with the public. Les operated zoos for much of his life before embarking upon what is a passion project. Elena and Les have been to Africa 30 times. These experiences combine with Les' lifetime of zoo management to give... More

Me, my husband and our grownup son with his couisin had a very good time. Hosts are knowledgeable and friendly. The length of a tour is just wright length in my opinion. We debated which animal feedings should we purchase if any because it is not cheap and it is adds up with the group of four. But i m... More

An amazing assortment of animals and highly knowledgeable hosts really make this experience special. We had a wonderful time. If you can, do the Segway tour and get away from the masses, with your more personalized tour, and get up close to the animals. The exhibits were great and we had a wonderful time.

The family-owned Giraffe Ranch animal preserve is something my boyfriend and I will never forget. After checking in, we waited for the remainder of the group which was honestly one of the coolest parts because the waiting area is filled with animal enclosures. From otters to pot-bellied pigs and lemurs to small primates. So, arrive early to spend more time... More

I'm sitting face-to-face with four ostriches, ten feet away, with nothing but my segway between us. The zebras that are grazing 200 feet in the distance hear something that they don't like and start galloping circles around us in the pen. Our guide, (I'd call her a scientist farmer) who knows every inch of her property and all that is... More

Absolutely wonderful experience. Owner, his wife, and zoological personnel very informative and allow you to get very up-close and personal with animals. We paid for camel ride, upgrade to feeding the lemurs, otters, & giraffe. It's a bit of a drive, but completely worth the trip. When you're hungry afterwards, you have to go to Steph's Soul Food. Best soul... More

We had a great time feeding giraffes. The prices were a bit steep but after the tour you can see why. There are so many amazing animals. There are additional feedings you can choose to do but they all cost extra. Even if you choose not to pay the additional fees you can still watch the other visitors feed the... More

If you want up-close encounters with amazing animals, this is a must do. My wife was even pecked once in the back by a young ostrich! Feeding giraffes was great fun, and we learned about some animals that are very rare or even extinct (I think) in the wild. We have done this twice, both times on the truck.
