    Lovely time!
We opted for the Segway tour, led by Chris. What a lovely experience! Chris is so well informed and personable, and despite the rain at the end of the tour, we had a great time. All of us are Segway fans, and we are convinced this was the best way to see the ranch. We were able to move among the animals and visit the camels in their pens. I am a giraffe person, so feeding them was a great treat for me as well as the giraffe. There is a baby giraffe which has a reticulated mom and a Masai dad -- she is adorable. Clearly, these animals are happy and content and the grounds are well kempt. A great couple of hours.

    Worth the Money
My mom and I visited in July 2023 while vacationing in Florida and had an excellent experience. I have been to places with wild animals in the past and felt bad about supporting them once I saw animals in small cages, etc. That was not the case at all at Giraffe Ranch. The animals have wide open spaces to roam and appear to be very well cared for. The ranch is owned by a husband and wife team who live on the property, and the husband worked at the Tampa zoo for many years. The wife, Elena, led our safari tour and was amazing. She had a wealth of knowledge and was so excited to talk about the animals and answer our questions. She was kind and entertaining, and her enthusiasm was contagious. It was really fun to get up close and feed the giraffes, and the whole ranch was clean and well kept. If I visit the area again, I will definitely return!

    Best of the best
We drove an hour from Orlando and that time was not wasted ,We were lucky to meet two amazing people . The owner Lex and right hand man Chris were amazing and full of knowledge and passion .(sorry if I got the names wrong ,so much to take in) Up close and personal , We road the camels through the park ,saw extremely endangered species roaming and thriving for future integration fed the giraffe and enjoyed every minute . In our opinion this is a must see. THANK YOU!

    Giraffe Ranch is amazing!
What an amazing place! My girlfriend from PA came visiting in Florida and discovered this place. Her mom, daughter and us went. We ALL had a fabulous time. We added on the otter feeding and we all were so happy we did. Those little hands taking the food from us was priceless! I have been on an African Safari and this was every bit as amazing! Only missing the elephants. I will be going back with my grandkids. We also fed the giraffes. This experience you can not have in the true wild. This place is maintained to a very high standard. Extremely well kept and all animals are healthy!

First time to The Giraffe Ranch! Amazing!
Amazing place! We were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves. Driven around by the owner who was so nice and full of information. The animals were beautiful as well as the property. We got to feed the giraffes and had a special add on time w the lemurs. Like nothing we have ever experienced. I will definitely be bringing people back in the future. Thank you for making it so wonderful.

    A must visit
This an excellent experience. You get up close to all the creatures from the silly ostriches to the majestic giraffes to the pacing cheetah. Words cannot describe what you see and touch. Feeding a giraffe is out of this world. A shy but sublime creature. Lex, the owner and our guide, was a treasure and font of information.

Loved our tour it was unlike anything else I have experienced.
We took the Segway tour of the Giraffe Ranch! The owners are very passionate about wildlife conservation and so knowledgeable about the topic and the animals on their ranch. It is a unique one of a kind experience. I highly recommend the Giraffe ranch whether the tour be by Camel, Jeep or Segways.

A great wildlife experience. A small five acre ranch with various African animals. We were lucky to be on a small tour and had extra opportunity to feed the animals. If the tour was full, we wouldn't have had the same experience. High priced, but it's not cheap taking care of large/exotic animals. We did the otter feeding, lemur feeding and rhino feeding. The rhino feeding was by far the best part of the experience. Remember though, we were on a small tour, so we had extra time with each of the animals. For example, I was the only person on the otter feeding. I would recommend taking the camel tour or one of the smaller tours over the truck tour should the truck tour be 50% full or more. Time with the animals was what really made the experience for us. We wouldn't have had that if the truck was full.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for giving us a five-star review! To clarify for the rest of our TripAdvisor community, all of our tours are small group tours, and during COVID-19, we are even offering a new drive-thru safari tour to accommodate those who feel safer in their own vehicles. Now is a great time to get out in nature and enjoy a safe, family-friendly and upclose animal encounter!

We went with AllAround BUS Tours out of Venice Florida. The trip was excellent.
The owners of the Giraffe Ranch worked in Zoos before, so they are very knowleable on how to care for their animals. The Giraffes are kept in two fenced areas, so there is no inbreeding. The safari bus takes you to the fenced in areas and the giraffes come to the bus to get the cabbage you are allowed to feed them, and come face to face. They are very freindly. In the wide open areas you have other animals like Zebra, a zebra mix, (their guard Donkey had his way with a Zebra when he managed to escape the area he was supposed to be guarding). So you will see a donkey with Zebra stripped leggs. There are African species of which there are only a handful left in the world, and hopefully these can multiply. They also have a rhino, warthogs. ( You can go on a camel ride, or interact with Lemours and feed them for a fee). They also have free range chickens, they explained how free range eggs don't have to be kept in the fridge. You will come away with a new understanding of these wonderful animals and gain an undersatnding of how many species we have lost. We had a great time! Well worth the admission. Yes they also have a gift shop.

Giraffe Ranch was such an amazing experience. We did the Segway Tour and we did the tour with the owner of giraffe ranch. Being so close to the animals was amazing, you can tell the animals are so well taken care of. We did the lemur and giraffe feeding which was amazing. Wish we did the otter feeding too but we will have to try that next time. I would 100% recommend Giraffe Ranch to anyone who loves animals and wants wants a very different experience than what a zoo has to offer. Cant wait to go back :)

We went on the premium Giraffe Encounter which was $1300 for 4 people to feed the giraffes for 30 minutes. We couldn’t pet them or feed other animals with out additional charges. We were charged in addition over $100 to feed otters 2 handfuls of fish. We thought it was way over priced for what you get and the owners were not particularly friendly. The monkey enclosure was small and rows of long cages which was sad to see. This isn’t something we would do again.

To clarify this review for the rest of the TripAdvisor community, this guest received a gift certificate for a premium giraffe encounter for four. Their group had the privilege of a private, hand-feeding of our herd, including a special experience of seeing two moms with their calves. The group elected to leave early, so they did not receive the full vehicle safari, during which they would have experienced other animal encounters. The additional otter feedings they chose were not covered in the gift certificate. We take great pride in providing high-quality, small-group animal encounters, unlike those found at theme parks or zoos. We encourage all guests to call us in advance to have a better understanding of how we are different and what to expect from their tour.

The owner and tour guide gave a fascinating safari tour, which allowed us up-close views of the animals he manages at the ranch. The giraffes, camels, and ostriches were incredibly significant to see. However, there were zebras, deer, tapirs, rhinos, hippos, and more. It is well worth the ticket cost to see these beautiful animals and hear how they thrive.

What a wonderful experience. It was even more than we expected. It was a very special birthday for my son. He still talks about the safari and wants to print pictures to hang in his room.

The staff was impeccable and made sure we enjoyed the whole experience. I can't express how highly I recommend a visit to the Giraffe Safari.

The lemur feeding was a very exhilarating experience which I highly recommend.

My friend and I did the Segway Safari, and it did not disappoint! We basically had a private tour as no one else signed up for the same day/time as us, so we were the only ones on the tour. The segways themselves are, of course, quite fun. But then being able to add that in with coming so close to so many different kinds of animals and seeing them interact amongst each other naturally, that was truly a once in a lifetime experience (I guess maybe except for on a real safari in Africa!). We ended up being able to get within a few feet - or closer! - of giraffes, zebras, and camels, and saw many other animals from a bit of a farther distance. The animals are, as far as I can tell, loved and well-cared for and we learned so much during our tour and got to ask as many questions as our hearts desired. We are already trying to figure out what to do there next time!

If you want to get a more personal experience with animals, this is definitely the place to go! We signed up for the Safari Tour to feed the giraffes and lemurs and it was amazing! You literally walk into a cage with the lemurs and get to feed them right out of your hand. The giraffes come right up to the truck and take the cabbage right out of your hands as well. The tour also included seeing all different types of other animals including cheetahs and camels. The truck gets so close to these animals and you feel like you are right next to them. Even before the tour you can walk around and see lemurs, pigs, tortoises, otters, alligators and more up close and personal. It is such a wild experience and I can’t wait to visit again!

Experiencing the camel ride was priceless!! The tour guide was very informative. We learned a lot! Weather was nice! Camels very friendly, however I was expecting to see more giraffes since it’s a giraffe ranch. In my opinion it was more like a small zoo but it was fun and for me to ride in the camel was worth every penny!!! I would definitely recommend everyone to visit! Also I was concerned how it would be for me being a large girl but everything was great!!

Running late for our booked experience ( as a result of faulty satnav and no mobile signal, we were eventually contacted by a staff member who I suggest needs to attend a PR course as soon as possible. Because we were late we were told in no certain terms that we had missed the start of the tour , there was no refund or rebooking ( not that we asked for one ) and their time was very important to them. This contact left us completely shocked and upset. So much so that we turned around and went home. I hope our $ 282.50 comes in handy for them to provide some customer relations training. Wouldn't rebook here if it was the last wildlife zoo in USA.
