Our guide was Rocky and our captain was Pete. We went to Kings Bay and even though the visibility wasn’t great we were, quite literally, surrounded on all sides by manatees. It was an early morning tour so the manatees were very playful and interactive. They would roll over to have their bellies scratched and would come right up to interact with us. More than once a manatee would swim under me and Ricky would caution me to freeze and just let the manatee swim under me. It would come up for breath with me still on top! They were very knowledgeable and the whole trip was amazing!

My family (myself, husband and 8 year old son) booked a 7 AM semi private Manatee snorkeling tour. We had a wonderful experience. Both Captain Doug and guide Lucas were very knowledgeable and make our trip one we will never forget. Even though the 7 AM trip is early, Lucas explained to us that the manatees have not seen people yet that morning and the water is more clear making visibility better for snorkeling. Also there are fewer people in the water at that time, making it easier to interact and see the manatees. We came across two juvenile manatees that we ended up spending our entire trip with. They were very relaxed and comfortable around us and came within inches of us as they munched on grass and came up to take breaths. We were the only ones in that area of the river and had the manatees all to ourselves. It was such a unique and amazing experience! after spending time with the manatee, Captain Doug took us over to an area to see 6 foot long tarpon. Both captain Doug and Lucas were very knowledgeable and accommodating to my family. Lucas showed a true passion for the manatee and the Crystal River area. I would highly recommend a 7 AM semi private tour with Fun2Dive and especially Lucas and Captain Doug!

We booked a manatee snorkeling tour for three people with fun 2 dive as they offer tours for small groups. This was perfect for us as our party included a 4 year old. We ended up with just the three of us. A private tour for the regular price. Lucky us. Captain Dylan and guide Gaby quickly found the manatees, made great pictures and made sure our son could safely join the water as well. We ended up swimming for almost two hours with a group of manatees including little ones. Again special thanks to Gaby and Dylan for making this a never to forget experience!

As captain Laura called them! Despite winter time, It was an amazing experience. We went there at February/2017, but I've lost my old TA account; and people need to know how thankful we are to our in-water guide, DJ, who saved my children lives! One of the private boats almost hit his motor into them, and DJ was a true hero putting himself in between them, and pushing the boat away. Captain Laura gave them (people at that boat) a telling off!!!
We felt protected, save and happy, with a private tour in another spot, less crowd and full of cute "water potatoes"!

Fun to Dive amazing VIP experience. Captain Pete took us to Kings Bay, Antonia & Shania were our guides. My husband & I are not the best swimmers, but our guides were excellent in navigating us towards the manatees, and looking after us. We have the most brilliant photos of our swim with the manatees and a private trip with just the two of us.We could not have asked for a better experience, and highly recommend this to anyone who loves manatees. Thank you Fun to Dive for a wonderful 'bucket list' day.

We went out on a beautiful and moderately busy day for sightseeing. I joined a boat with a couple other parties and our guide and captain made us all feel welcome. They explained details of the preserve and answered all out questions. They took us to where they felt we had the best chance to interact with the manatees and they were spot on. I noticed some other people (not in our group) struggling to find a passing manatee in the (somewhat) cloudy waters. I decided to stay in one spot, be quiet, and just wait. I feel like it paid off because I was fortunate enough to be able to interact with many mantees during our time and they were kind enough to allow me to gently pet them. It was truly a blessed experience and I am so glad to have had it.
Definitely go with this shop, they take good care of you and make your experience seamless.

We chose Fun 2 Dive from reviews we read and we’re not disappointed. The staff are all friendly. Check in was prompt and efficient. All personnel wore masks. We were given 3mm wetsuits because the waters were a bit chilly. It was a short drive to the private boat for 6 we chartered. It was well worth the additional expense - we had personalized attention from our guide, Kelly, and felt safe not bring exposed to Covid from other people. She swam with us and took pictures as we observed 3 manatees. They are large, gentle and graceful. We enjoyed hot chocolate on the way back. We purchased the pictures when we returned but there is no high pressure sales pitch. All in all, this is a quality, well run operation that we highly recommend.

Second time my bf and I have went with this tour company to swim near manatees. First time was my very first experience and it was an exhilarating experience, especially seeing how large and docile yet curious they are! Even if you’re not a manatee lover, it’s a great swimming experience and a way to see other wildlife. It was very helpful since all the staff are knowledgeable and perceptive of the ecosystem. This time our tour guide was Gabby ,knowledgeable about manatees and the ecosystem; she informed our group she attended a university and studied an aquatics science. Our captain was Garret, friendly and knowledgeable like Gabby as he’s a local so he has great recommendations for places to visit during and after the tour (food/shop/conservation and learning purposes). Both were positive and attentive to answer any questions we had and provide us we lots of history, marine, conservatory, and seasonal occasions in the river/bay that we could attend throughout the year. Both invested wisely in equipment to promote quicker and better time used during our scheduled tour so we had more time to be in the water with the manatees. Garret had an amazing drone- it launched too quickly that I didn’t get the chance to record it. He went over the specs and explained how it worked. I never thought drones were useful and so powerful for observation and tracking purposes that he was able to quickly find manatees while gabby and us in the group looked for signs of manatees. Not even 10 minutes of in the boat and we found a good amount of manatees despite it being September where there are like less than 40 since it isn’t cold enough in the harbor for them to migrate. The camera Gabby had made me like, “whoa I never thought I’d drop $ on a camera when I could just use my phone”. Photos of the tour were great! Gabby really has an eye for wildlife photography! She got excellent shots of the manatees, knowledgeable by getting the bodies to identify and track the manatees in the bay and cute ones too on the manatees gracefully and derpy in the clear water even ones of them munching on sea grass! Great way to document the trip. Don’t worry about being cold when you get back on the boat they have hot tea or hot chocolate to warm y’all up! Seriously, y’all wanna have a good time especially do something cute and adventurous, check out manatees swim tours and pick this tour business! I legit got on this dang site that I don’t even use just to boast about how awesome my experience was and how they’re doing their part to teach about conservation of manatees and the ecosystem and our opportunities to protect them so they thrive. Also ong cutest gift shop, this time I got a huge manatee plushie to use instead of a body pillow!

My husband and I booked a VIP experience and had the boat to ourselves. It was great! Three Sister Springs was crowded with other companies and kayaks visiting the manatees but our guide Jessica was great in navigating this for is and making it still feel like a personalized experience despite the other people. We loved hearing the history of the area from Jessica and our captain, Peter. We had a great time!

I snorkeled in Hawaii... this beats that. I had so much fun today even though “manatee season” is over we got to see about 7 manatees maybe more.
I read some reviews before I booked my trip it seems like early morning is the best time to go. We got tickets for the 7am 3 hour tour.
Kelly our guide was fun and full of knowledge. Ryan the captain was funny and helpful. I would call them both manatee experts, both with a good eye for manatees.
I love animals so much it felt so good to have tour guides who care about them. We knew what do when they got close to us. I felt so safe and I felt like our guides kept the manatees safe and that is so important.
I could have stayed in crystal lake all day with the manatees.
They have wetsuits that fit a 4x and we really appreciate that.
Seriously this is a must do. I want to come back to Florida to swim with manatees.
