About Plantation Adventure Center
Swim alongside the gentle giants with daily tours going out every morning. $65 per person includes all equipment, 5mm wet suits, mask, snorkel, towel service, hot chocolate, coffee, hot showers, and heated changing facility with no parking fees! Ask about our private tours as well. Crystal River offers the best location to see and interact with the Florida manatee, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, also known as gentle giants. Unlike other areas of Florida, the Federal Government allows for "passive observation" in the water between manatees and people in Kings Bay. This allows face-to-face interaction with manatees. We provide pre-tour education on passive observation and how to get the best experience during the tour.

Absolutely incredible experience. Went out on the 10:00 AM swim. Saw manatees after only a 5 minute boat ride. Captain Justin was the best. He made sure that my wife got to interact with manatees after she got tired and swam back to the boat....More

We had a productive swim with the manatees thanks to the perseverance of our guides Ed & Steve. The week had been warm, so most of the manatees had left the Springs. After much searching, we swam with a mama & baby. It was delightful...More

You just have to be able to float (with wetsuit on) and snorkle. It helps to be able to not flail around, and they discourage standing on the bottom because it kicks up mud so no one can see clearly. But there is no current... More
