Exploring Crystal River in a private boat means you can move more quietly than on group tours, creating ideal conditions where manatees can comfortably approach you in the water.

We went on a tour with captain Mike and captain Misty Kelly and it was a wonderful experience. Although the weather was a bit of a bummer it didn’t stop them from giving us the best experience. Absolutely fantastic!

Best time is Nov through March, they gather in the protected springs and parks when temperatures drop. You can always see Manatees around the state more coastal but not necessarily in large numbers.
