Considering this was a man made beach, I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of room, pretty sand, not too much seagrass or seaweed. Didn't smell bad, although sometimes that depends on time of the year. It was a beautif, relaxing day. Not much around besides a...More

Not the best beach in Florida. You want beaches then go to the Gulf coast in the pan handle between Panama City and Pensacola or even the Alabama Gulf Coast. Beautiful white beaches there.

Even though the beach had to be brought in by dump truck it's very nice. Clean and safe with fencing to keep out predator fish. Curved and shallow so safe for even young children with supervision. Great for wading. Clean, new restroom building. Nice boat...More

We were hoping it was really a quiet beach. It is small and there were quite a few people there, but we were able to get a table with a roof for shade to ourselves. The bathrooms were clean and the beach was clean aside...More

Nice small beach. Were there during spring break so was a little crowded. Loved walking out on the pier and looking out over the water unfortunately we missed seeing the dolphins. The kids had a fun time swimming and exploring the rocks along the breakwall....More

Beautiful clean beach with a trail, tide pools, food, and relaxing atmosphere. There are clean picnic areas with coverings, people buying special pineapple icees, flying kites, fishing, playing volleyball, etc. I'd come back!

This is a small beach where they Gulf of Mexico and the Bay meet. It is a nice family beach. There is a boardwalk that takes you to a pier out into the Gulf. Very beautiful sunsets

If during week in summer, I would imagine it would not be busy. As I travel near there with my dog, I am wondering if it would be permissible to swim with her?

No, there are several signs indicating that dogs are not welcome. Sad. Just beyond the beach there is a fishing pier area where you can walk your dog. However, it is quite small. Hope that helps.

Some reviews said dogs not allowed, while others referred to a dog walk. Can you elaborate?

Dogs are not allowed directly on the beach, however off to the side on the other side of the rocks looks less beachy- and more grassy people had dogs who were playing fetch in the water.
