As it was, as you want it to be
Jun 2021
I first went there about fifty years ago and hadn't been back in about forty. With so much changing in Miami-Dade this oasis seems frozen in time. Clean, picturesque, not crowded.

Fully-open including bathrooms and grottoes.

The web site for buying a ticket is the only reason this doesn't get the top rating. It would have been handy to know you can pay for a locker.

Not worth it during "covid"
Feb 2021 • Friends
First of all other than the bathroom stalls, the locker room/showers are closed. The water temperature was pretty cool. There are no lawn chairs (benches only) and the caves are closed (due to covid). Apparently they are unaware that its the same water flowing into and out of the caves. Other than a pretty surrounding I would not recommend.

When we visited, it seemed like it was under reconstruction or something. It was all locked up and closed. Nobody was around. Just got a glimpse of the inside and left disappointed.

Renovations or off season closing ??
Jan 2020
I visited this terrific pool during my last Miami trip 12 y ago and I liked it very much.
This time I wanted to show it to my kids, so we drove there on purpose some day at the beginning of Jan.
Unfortunately, it was closed and fenced all around like it was in the renovation process.
We peeked through and saw the pool empty.
Check before you're going if it's open.

Bring your own supplies...
Nov 2019
A bit of a mixed experience here. This is a truly unique place and you should definitely check it out. I can't believe they allow you to go in the caves and bask on the rock formations - it's so cool. It's fresh water and is cool, clean, and refreshing. On the other hand, they have a nickle-and-dime kind of business model, which I'm not crazy about. Definitely bring your own towel - they will not have towels available unless you choose to purchase one for $8. They also make you pay to rent lounge chairs, which just feels a step too far. You certainly can get by without doing so, but it's not the comfy poolside experience that would be common at a hotel, for example. There is a cafe on site, that we did not try. I also think we had a nice time in part because we came on an off day when it was a little cooler, so it wasn't crowded.

Relaxing Pool Day
Nov 2019
My friends and I went to the Venetian Pool for the afternoon in early November. The pool was beautiful! There is a small waterfall, and the architecture of the area is really pretty. When we were there, it wasn't busy at all, and it was peaceful. We were worried about loud children running around, but it was calm, and there were very few families there. I'd go back again!

Vintage Swimming experience
Nov 2019
Practical details - $15 dollars admission, $5 dollars for locker plus $5 dollars deposit, $10 dollars to rent lounger, and towels can be bought for $8. Posting thus because it was quite difficult to find the info. Great way to spend a morning - you need to be able to swim, not really for lounging as such, no infants 👶. But wonderful old pool

We enjoyed going to this historical pool with the family but the water is just too cold for my taste. I would still recommend for it’s uniqueness and history. I love Coral Gables❤️
