About
Temporarily closed Once a limestone quarry, this stunning Mediterranean-inspired swimming pool and complex is now a public oasis complete with waterfalls and grottoes. The pool is fed by fresh spring water and is surrounded by terracotta roof buildings with wrought iron balconies, giving it an old-world charm. It's a great spot to cool off on a hot summer's day—you can swim in the pools (there's a children's pool for kids), sunbathe on the small sandy area, or rent a lounge chair.

My 8 year old daughter was super excited about visiting the Venetian Pool. We arrived mid-afternoon, several hours before closing, and were shocked and disappointed to see that no more guests would be admitted to the pool due to allegedly full capacity. But we could see clear as day that there were very few people in the pool, and it was really disheartening to be locked out of this type of unique experience.

I'm all for covid safety and reasonable limitations on visitors to allow for social distancing, but this is a MASSIVE pool and I don't think more than 15 or so people were in it. So why not let in some more? Very disappointing and not a good look!

Arrived at the pool and paid over $80 to get in. 15 mins into our time here a thunder storm came and they closed they pool for over an hour. Then finally they opened the pool again for 20 mins only to close it again. They wouldn’t give us a refund or allow us to use the ticket the next day despite not even using the pool because THEY closed it. Please check the weather before you come here or they will take your money.

This is a place to do because the pool is 100 years old and it is a historical monument. However, the entrance is expensive for what it is (17 dollars per person if you are not a resident of Corale Gables) the water is not clean. The staff doesn't clean the leaves and insects off the surface so it falls to the ground. There are yellow marks on the floor and it is cracked. There is a charge for deck chairs in addition to entry. The bar was closed, you have to go there as soon as it opens because then there are lots of children, and there's shouting in every direction and it no longer has anything heavenly about it.

Good but not great. The pool is in the middle of a renovation that seems to be a bit overdue. It is not completely open and there no snack bar. The price charged for non residents is outrageous given the amenities. Be prepared for weather related closures which can leave you sitting around for an hour or more. Honestly the beach is more fun and much more affordable.

I first went there about fifty years ago and hadn't been back in about forty. With so much changing in Miami-Dade this oasis seems frozen in time. Clean, picturesque, not crowded.

Fully-open including bathrooms and grottoes.

The web site for buying a ticket is the only reason this doesn't get the top rating. It would have been handy to know you can pay for a locker.

First of all other than the bathroom stalls, the locker room/showers are closed. The water temperature was pretty cool. There are no lawn chairs (benches only) and the caves are closed (due to covid). Apparently they are unaware that its the same water flowing into and out of the caves. Other than a pretty surrounding I would not recommend.

I visited this terrific pool during my last Miami trip 12 y ago and I liked it very much.
This time I wanted to show it to my kids, so we drove there on purpose some day at the beginning of Jan.
Unfortunately, it was closed and fenced all around like it was in the renovation process.
We peeked through and saw the pool empty.
Check before you're going if it's open.

We had 3 hours of fun in the sun here . The pool is beautiful & well kept. A little cool at first, but we quickly acclimated & enjoyed it as refreshing in the heat. The facilities were easy to use & we're so happy we took advantage of going to this historic place in beautiful Coral Gables! The landscaping was tropical & we enjoyed going into the cave & seeing & hearing the waterfalls. I was a little surprised it was so deep everywhere. I'm 5'5" & could barely touch bottom, so had to swim or tread water when in the pool. We spent a little bit of time in the kiddy pool just sunning. There's can addition charge for lounge chairs. We purchased, but honestly hardly used because we stayed in the pool or sat on the edge. You can rent a locker for $5.

Tourists! Don't let locals fool you! Don't even think of going there! You'll spend over $100 for all necessary add-ons! Look (excluding entrance fee): $16+ taxes for cheap short towels (they are only available for purchase), $10+ taxes for renting lockers, $10+ for renting chairs, no inside food or even drinks allowed! Enjoy you soda for purchase ($5+) per can! Speeches! Add to all the described above that they close all capes and attractions inside, so you have access only to the pool. Worth it?! Absolutely not!! Grab a towel at you hotel and go to the Ocean Drive.
