About
Stretching over 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean, Cocoa Beach Pier has long been a cultural and entertainment epicenter on Florida’s Space Coast. The pier is great for fishing and surfing, and is also dotted with gift shops. You can rent umbrellas and lounge chairs to spend a relaxing day by the beach or sit at the tiki bar to munch on some fish and fries as you enjoy the cool sea breeze and see flocks of pelicans fly by. You're also able to view the rocket launch at the nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, so check for timings and plan ahead. – Tripadvisor

- ashrm20Cleveland, Ohio30 contributionsOverpriced but the view is greatThe pier itself is pretty cool a lot of places to sit and to sit at if you want to eat there. I wouldn’t recommend eating there though. The kids meals were good but my ahi wonton nachos were not the greatest. The ahi chunks were just that chunks not small cubes like they should be. But I mean it was good food but for two kids and myself I spent $70 some dollars with tip. You could get just as good if not better somewhere else. Watching the ocean from the pier is amazing but service lacks big time. It just seemed like everyone there was not happy except the security guards. And I use to work in south Florida it’s just a job but you can still be a little friendly. The snack place where you get hotdogs was probably the worst service on the pier and again over priced. The pier shop was nice and had a lot of items for everyone but it was chilly and only had adult sweatshirts not kid sizes. I would have bought more if they had them. Visit the pier and the beautiful beaches and even get a drink while walking out on the pier, just dine somewhere else and save your money.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten February 21, 2024
- cruisegirlforeverDeptford, New Jersey1 contributionCocoa beach pier and beach areaOn a cruise in October 2023, We booked the Ron Jon shuttle to Cocoa Beach, Fl. They dropped us off in a parking lot. We had about a mile walk to get to the pier. We walked the beach which is very beautiful. The pier only had 2 souvenir stores open as well as as very clean restroom and a bar. The rest of the pier was closed due to weather according to the bartender. Next to the pier a very nice area on the beach with umbrella and chair rentals. Also a beach volleyball court. This is a perfect spot for a beach day. I gave a 4 out of 5, because most of the pier was closed.Dear Guest, We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your visit to the Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful beach and amenities nearby, despite some areas being closed. Your comments are valuable to us as we strive to provide a memorable experience for all our guests. We hope to welcome you back for an even better visit in the future. - kat bMiami, Florida11 contributionsCocoa BeachThis beach is known as a longboard haven! This beach has a long history with surfing and because of that it tensds to get crowded, especially in the summer. At a location known as "First Peak," on the north side of the jetty, there is an obvious pecking order. The best and most competitive surfers can be found there, along with a descending standing on the two breaks immediately to the north, "Second Peak" and "Third Peak." Like most of the world's top surf locations, Florida names its surf breaks after notable local landmarks or distinctive ocean features. Swells are amplified on the north side of the inlet where they reflect off the jetty. Because the jetty causes the waves to jack up taller and thicker over the shallow sandbars, creating three or four different peaks up the beach, surfers swarm to this stretch of beach. It's among the top spots to view high level surfers.Visited January 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 7, 2024

Well worth it!!!! A large central kitchen on the pier. Can’t bring containers up there but they are allowed on the beach, parking is close by, 20.00, I think cash as well. Patrolled by attentive life guards. Surfing lessons available there as well. Opens at 11 am, closes around 5pm.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 30, 2024

The restarant on end closed and end of pier closed one day because of wind. Restarant on pier open and busy. One store open reguraly and drink vendor open sometimes. The pier area is excellent and the rental options are great. The stores have everything you will forget which was good. Staff was excellent. Good choices were excellent. Nice beach volleyball setups. Nothing I could think of wanting at a beach that this didn’t have. The kids had a great time. Their age ranges weee 8 to 18. Looking forward to going back. Parking was great too.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 5, 2024

Have us great recommendations and some great restaurants in the area to go try! The food at the pier is outstanding! They've added sushi which is actually better than most Japanese restaurants. They've stepped up their game and it shows!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 23, 2024

- Teri OPennsylvania15 contributionsGreat!!Really enjoyed the pier, great restaurants, and was nice sitting at the water's edge watching the surfers. The information stand had some useful information from the lady working there. However upon leaving and just walking past her to go to the car, she said "hey, come here", she asked what we were doing the rest of the day, I said relaxing, she asked if we wanted to do an excursion, I said not really, then she said are you interested in $150 to view one of my propertys? We had just left one timeshare property in orlando and knew the name westgate so we responded NO and went to our car. The information she gave us in the beginning was helpful but we didnt want to be part of another timeshare meeting! The pier was great though and would definitely visit again!Hi Teri, Thank you for sharing your experience at Cocoa Beach Pier. We're glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and the views. We apologize for the unwanted solicitation about timeshare; your feedback helps us address such issues to improve our guest experience. Luckily, we were able to take a free shuttle from the Westgate Cocoa Beach Timeshare property - so we were spared the $30 parking fee charged until 4pm. I would not pay that fee just to visit the pier. We arrived just before a space launch and the pier was filled to capacity. We watched the launch from the beach and then entered the pier after the launch as most of the crowd was leaving. The description is a little misleading as there is no longer fishing allowed from the pier. The pier itself does not offer much. There is a gift shop. a mid-pier restaurant and bar that offers bar food and the open-air Rikki Tiki Tavern at the end that also offers bar food. The pier lacks a restaurant that offers entrees. What a waste as the views are great and the restaurant would be a great dining venue if the only offered entrees. We enjoyed a order of wings at the Rikki Tiki Tavern in the sea breeze as we watched the surfers catch their waves below. The wings were very good and priced fair at $20 for a dozen meaty wings. The service was also good.

Went to the covered bar with plenty of seating. Great view, drinks a little pricey but worth the view! Ordered food, was served quickly and was very tasty with good sized portions and priced well! Don’t try to bring a water bottle or your own cup to keep your drink cool, not allowed!

Horrible experience with security at pier.
We purchased water at 1st shop ad temp was over 90 degrees, walked up the pier only to visit the small shop and we were refused entry to the shop !!!
I offered to put the water in my bag but still no. We pointed out that surely it wax health and safety in that heat but still no.
We asked to speak to the supervisor who said we would need to put more water at the bad ac it was a restaurant, again I pointed out we only wanted to go to the shop !!!
The female supervisor then stormed off saying I wax shouting (I’m Scottish so we usually sound angry lol)
All I all after 20 years of visiting this pier I won’t be back as nd will no longer recommend it to friends of family.
You pay $15 yo park (no receipt given of offered) and then it’s just about getting money out of you

Avoid this money pit! Having never been to the pier before, my daughter and niece begged me to take them. They wanted to walk out to the pier and see the shops. I paid $20 to get in, walked the direction to the pier, then was told the pier was "on hold" and we had to wait. My daughter had a tea in her hand and they told her she had to throw it away. She was attempting to sip the rest of it and was standing next to the garbage can. We couldn't go anywhere and she told them she would throw it out, but they were very ugly towards her. Once they let us in, they counted out 15 people and we were able to walk out. However, once we got out, you couldn't walk to the end and it was closed off. They had chairs roped off so you couldn't sit. No sooner than we walked out, the security people told us we had to come back that the pier was closing. I asked another security officer on the way out when we could return, they said tomorrow at 11 a.m. The parking attendant stated we could return for the next 4 hours until they closed with our receipt, however we only went to hang out on the pier. They stated that the wind was the reason, but I didn't find it to be overly windy. I've lived in FL all my life and have seen tropical storm winds and hurricane winds, and if they are worried about the little wind they had, they need to close their structure off and rebuild. If I could give them a zero, I would. Shame on them for taking money from people. No offer of a refund either.

Do not believe anything you read about this place. It is not the cocoa beach pier. It is the Westgate cocoa beach pier. 1 shop that was closed and a bar and restaurant. NO FISHING Parking was free probably because no one is going there. Other places on the web say it is a good place to see sunsets. Also not true. The only thing you see is the hotels to the west. Asked the security guard where everything was he said he has been telling Westgate to update there listing but they don't. Don't waste your time stopping. For those that follow my reviews on trip advisor you know I tell you the facts...good or bad

On our visit on 06/15/23, a typical Thursday with no special events, the parking at the pier was 30 dollars for all day. Free after 4 p.m. We only stayed for 4 hrs, so metered parking would have been cheaper. The pier was a nice place to have for food, bathrooms and showers nearby. Prices of chicken sandwich, meat bowls, fish sandwich, ranged from 16-18 dollars each. The sandwiches came with fries, or slaw The drinks were 3 dollars each for tea or coke in a 10 oz cup and I wasn't charged for a refill. Minimum 18 percent tip. Multiple bathrooms were cleaned regularly and easily available with minimal wait. Approx 5 outside showers with minimal wait. It was crowded as it was a nice day. Some people stayed at a nearby hotel and could just walk thru to the pier. Everything was clean and well maintained.

Please don’t waste your time visiting. We made the mistake of detouring here after Kennedy Space centre with our 3 young children hoping for an afternoon at the beach before heading back to Orlando. There is really nothing to this pier except a restaurant and a bar. We expected we could walk along an actual
Pier with multiple shops, food places and fun fair type as an entertaining area but it is literally a small walkway to a restaurant through a bar. Not suitable for young children or families and nothing else to see or do. Not even an ice cream shop there so we ended up driving up the road to Dairy Queen. Such a disappointing trip!

Parking is either $15 for all day or $3.50/hour. Nice little beaches with places to surf or swim or just hang out. Rikki Tiki Tavern and a few other restaurants plus a gift shop and a few other places nearby to check out. Plenty of things to do like rent a boat or jet ski or parasail and it's close to the Space Center and Cape Canaveral. My only gripe is the bugs; those little things are everywhere. Your windshield will look like modern art by the time you reach the pier and they are constantly landing on the tables or you.

Haven’t been back since they treated my husband and service dog so poorly. They tried to not allow my husband i. The bathroom. Service dog was clearly identified well behaved and the security guard physically blocked my husband from entering the bathroom.
Eventually a supervisor came allowed my husband in the restroom but didn’t apologize and was extremely rude. I am still so angry and embarrassed by the treatment. I tell all visitors friends and family to stay clear.
Not worth the money and poor treatment.
