4 reviews
Experience a magical guided nature adventure after dark! Our tours feature personal care and small groups from our private launch into a quiet region of the lagoon... Safe and easy, free from the crowds of other companies. Bioluminescent sparking comb jellies are in the water year round creating a truly phenomenal effect as you explore through the Banana River Lagoon Nature Preserve. Summer time can also have bioluminescent phytoplankton called Dinoflagellates. It's an experience like no other! Choose Paddle Board or Kayak at launch.. Paddle and kayak equipment, expert instruction, parking, and photos are included. We depart from the amazing Brevard Veteran's Memorial Park & Museum.

I travel up for launches from S. Florida. This is probably the best spot. Get a crab trap and stay. Please remember to use parking lights only during the launch. Some of us make an investment in each trip to get photos.

This is a great location. Thanks to the other reviewers we got a great spot. We saw a dolphin while waiting. The only recommendation I would add is to bring binoculars if you have them. It is still amazing to see without them but I wished I had had them. You also have a direct view of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) with the 21 story American flag painted on it to the north facing you and the rocket to the east of that (launch pad 39A). Incredible sight. I believe it’s about 7 miles from the launch pad.

You get a great view on the launches from here. There are 2 seating platforms with plenty of parking. Before launch, everything is pretty well organised by police etc. Come a bit early so you can sit near the water but beware of the local inhabitants.

Anywhere in this area is great- as long as you are on the North side of the Port/Causeway, there is an unobstructed view (albeit a distance) across the water to the pad(s).

Thanks to this post, we parked in the grass to catch a glimpse of a rocket launch. We sat on the sea wall at the edge of the water and got to see many dolphins, manatees and sting rays while we waited for the launch! The launch, albeit brief, was spectacular and worth the wait. It was also cool to hear the delayed sound of the launch after it traveled across the water. Check the local news or online to see if there will be a launch while you are there.
