The beach itself was busy the day we went to visit Ron Jon's - the area is a bit sleazy and brash compared to New Smyrna Beach - but then this is a place where the younger set go to enjoy themselves.

We live here, full time, in a condo on the beach. Cocoa Beach has a small town feel, but plenty of nice restaurants and hotels. We can walk to many restaurants and bars, as well as the very nice library and post office. The beach is great, and is nice for surfing or paddle boarding, as well as kite surfing.... More

Clean beach with lifeguards. This was a public beach so there were lots of people but there was a place to show, get snacks and drinks.

Great beach for long walks but bring your sandles because the sand can get really hot. The beach is wide and non crowded.

Cocoa Beach is mostly 20 year olds with lots of energy. Very busy tourist destination with over priced everything. Too many strip bars and drunks for a family with children to stay. My personal opinion. The big surf shops are expensive for the junk they sell. Too many people and the beach is rocky. I prefer to go south a... More

I was impressed to see the shoreline...the water is so shallow for about 100 feet, great for small children and todlers that want to run and splash away :)

We went at the end of July. The water was full of sea weed in the crash zone and a dirty green hue. Out past the breakers it was a lighter green but still not clean and clear. This was our first time to the Atlantic so we still enjoyed ourselves. Sea shell hunting was fun. Mostly small shells or... More

Wide, powder white sandy beach with a nice gentle entry into the ocean. They have it all and it was not crowded at all. I was so very impressed with every aspect. Now, in context, I'm not a fan of Myrtle Beach with all the crowds and the vendors hawking frozen lemonade, etc. I like a more laid back beach... More

Clean beaches and not over crowded. Water was a little choppy but all in all a fun family day! 3 teenagers and not 1 complaint that anyone was bored.
