What a great morning on this airboat tour. Captain Rick was very accomatating supplying everything you could think of. Took us to some incredible spots where he would stop and explain the area and the the animals and birds we were able to see that day. Also, these are private tours, so it is just your group going out.
After the tour he took the time to tell us great places to eat and to visit. Very fun and very entertaining day. I would definetly do this tour again.

Rick is an extremely knowledgeable guide and takes you all over. We went through the cypress groves and he really tries to find wildlife! We saw baby alligators and then we got splashed by an eight foot gator yipeeee! We’re crazy Canadians so we get very excited about seeing grantors. Thanks for an enjoyable air boat trip

I've watched Capt Rick take out Groups of all numbers and all backgrounds, from Locals to Tourists. And he's GREAT with all of them. Safety is first. He knows his Airboat, knows the Wildlife of Florida, and know's how to show you a wonderful Airboat experience. Highly recommend.

We has a great adventure with Captain Rick! We had wanted to go a Thursday, but it was going to be too windy. He cared enough about us to be honest and say it wasn't going to be a good day on the water!! We went a day earlier and it was fantastic. 90 min tour an we saw 10 gators including a few within 10 feet of the boat. Lots of birds, turtles and other wildlife. Our trip to Florida wouldn't have been complete without this experience.

Great ride, aligators, hawks, owls, herons, cypress hamock and lots of local knowledge. Well maintained boat with an impressive 600 hp engine (I'm an engineer, can't help it) made for plenty of exitement. 1 1/2 hours thru the swamp

The Airboat Ecotour should not be missed. Cruising through the marsh and stopping to capture photos of the alligators and wildlife. Captain Rick shared interesting knowledge and history during our trip. Drinks were ice cold and gator jerkies were a nice touch! Support local business!

WOW! What a ride!! Took my granddaughter and her friend from PA for a fantastic
ride on Captain Rick's airboat tour. It was definitely exhilarating and informative.
We got to see the "Real Florida" with swamps, 100 year old cypress trees, and,
of course, alligators. Captain Rick knows every inch of the St. John's River and
just where to find those alligators. Great time and a must on your bucket list.

This was a wonderful introduction to Florida for our kids, giving them a real sense of the very different ecology you have here. (Our group is from Boston and Ontario.) Water was unusually high this time of year, but Rick managed to show us plenty of wildlife, plants and local history. Everyone enjoyed the trip, especially traveling by airboat, which I remembered fondly from trips to the Everglades as a kid. Thanks Rick!

Excellent tour. My wife and I were looking for an airboat tour for a house guest to see alligators in their naive surroundings. I called Capt Rick's Grasshopper Airboat Ecotour office the day before to see about getting reservations. After talking to his answering service, Capt Rick immediately called back to describe the tour and set up the time for us to arrive. Everything went smoothly with his arrival on his airboat at the dock right on time. After a detailed safety briefing and tailored seating of our small group of 12, we were off on our tour. The airboat ride was very smooth and Capt Rick provided optional head sets to dampen the airboat engine noise when travelling across the lake to get into the best observation areas. He also had a readily available bottles of water for anyone who wanted one. Capt Rick is a great tour guide and very knowledgeable on the ecosystem. While we were cautioned in advance that it was not the optimum season for alligator sightings, Capt Rick's was confident he would get us to see some. His experience paid off and we saw enough large and small alligators to make the tour a success for us. While our primary interest was seeing the alligators, his running narrative on the history of the lake and its other wildlife and plants was very interesting and enjoyable. We had a great time and our house guest was especially impressed with the tour. I highly recommend taking a Grasshopper Airboat Tour with Capt Rick.
