We recently enjoyed a wonderful kayak tour on the Turner River in the Everglades. Our guide, Orion, was informed, friendly and passionate about the ecology of the Everglades. We saw several alligators and numerous birds close up and personal. Orion also pointed out many native trees and plants and the part they play in this environment. An excellent, peaceful way to spend a morning in the Big Cypress Swamp.

Spent an hour or so on their website getting excited about a hunting trip. When I called to discuss dates I was surprised to learn they no longer do wild boar hunts and have cut back on other hunts as well.
In interests of saving you time, as I must now start my research all over again.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry for loss of time. We are currently not offering wild boar hunts for several reasons. We currently don't have the wild populations available to achieve the high standards for our hunts. We refuse to offer fenced canned hunts for wild boar like others. We have currently stopped our migratory bird hunting due to the loss of migrations of birds currently at an all time low. We have high rated reviews because the hunts we offer are exceptional. Our Osceola turkey and Seminole whitetail and alligator hunting success rates are 100% for over five years. This is reflected in our exceptional reviews. If you are searching for a reputable outfitter in South Florida for a true fair chase wild boar hunt, I wish you luck in your endeavor.

I received this as a gift from my wife. Originally from NY, I have hunted white tail, turkey etc so the thought of having to pay for a hunt wasn't something that I'm use to. I wasn't sure what to expect. Its about a two hour drive from my house and I arrived a half hour early. I was greeted by Mark and Rita and offered some coffee. I just had to wait a few minutes for Mark to get the rest of the gear loaded and we were off. It was a really great time. More than the shot of my boar, the actual hunt and the hospitality, I really appreciated Mark and his enthusiasm of wild life conservation and sportsmanship. I would definitely recommend Everglades Adventures if you are looking for a great place to hunt!

Let me preface this review with Jesse a guide that works for Mark and Everglades Adventures is a really cool guy that put both people in his hunting party on hogs all day long and was absolutely great and entertaining. He drove around in a truck and entertained his clients, he did not go on 8 mile nature hikes like his boss mark had us on. When it comes to Mark this experience was one I choose not to remember. Mark the owner and guide had us go on a wild goose chase instead of pig hunt. We walked 8 miles in full camo while he spooked hogs left and right and in one entire day did not put us on one pig. The website claims an average day you see a hundred pigs, either that was a lie or our guide was blind. Both of which I suspect as true. We saw about 20 pigs 10 of which were babies and 7-8 others being females which he refuses to let you shoot. If you do ever get stuck going on a hunt with Mark absolutely demand that you drive around in a truck rather than walk miles and miles in full camo, I am a young guy who ran cross country in college and I couldn't handle the rigors of the unsuccessful hunt. My body has been acking in pain for the past day and a half. After an unsuccessful brutal hunt with mark he offered us to return for a discounted price of $600 which was a sad offering. Mark although the owner seemed to have no clue what he was doing. If you are looking for a nature walk this is the trip for you, just make sure to leave any weapons you have at home because you won't have an opportunity to use them. If you want a successful enjoyable hunt at Everglades Adventures make absolutely sure Jesse is your guide I promise you that you will not regret it. Also, mark lied to us and told us we could not have an older man be an observer when if he would have done what Jeese did we could have done so.

I would NOT recommend this outfitter to anyone.
Charges Two times as much as other outfitters in the area.
Want you to wear camo. Hogs have really good smell, hearing and very poor vision.
Sell the hunt as a meat hog hunt then only let you shoot the worst tasting meat at twice the price.
If your the paying customer you should be able to shoot what you want and not what they want. There are plenty of nescience wild hogs.
There not spending a dime of there money on paying for captured hogs like they want to claim the other outfitters are doing. But there again charge twice as much.
There overhead is less then others but charge twice as much for dictated hunting.
Take your hard earned money and go have a better time for less money with another outfitter in the area.
As you notice they are the only people I know using Trip Advisor to further there deceitful ways.
NEVER AGAIN.
RIP OFF.

Don’t really understand this review. There were two individuals hunting in this party. Both harvested very nice hogs. When they departed they were very happy and couldn’t wait to return.
A few days later this individual’s wife called to give “constructive criticism” on the hunt explaining that we are too expensive and should provide a refund. She stated her husband had been with another outfitter who charged half what we charged. I explained the outfitter she was referring to hunted in a small enclosure with captured pigs which allowed them to offer their services at a reduced rate and all of our hunts were conducted free range which was more expensive. She stated she could understand the explanation.
Along comes this review.
The use of camouflage clothing while hunting wild game? Really?
We are using Trip Advisor to “further their deceitful ways”? Really?
Not spending any money on captured hogs? Really?
Dictated hunting? Really?
Overhead is less than others? Really?
Rip off? Really?
Everything about our hunts is explained in detail on our website. Our website lists our prices and that they are on the high end due to the overhead associated with FREE RANGE hunting. We have extensive information on the difference between FREE RANGING and CANNED hunting.
This client knew exactly what he would be charged for his hunt prior to his arrival and placed a 50% deposit to reserve the date. He was charged only the 50% balance due but makes five references to the price we charged him like he was overcharged.
Currently we have over forty reviews from our clients which give us a five star rating.
I don’t understand what happened in this situation. This review is completely inaccurate and is NOT a FAIR evaluation of the services we provide.

Let me start by saying that Mark, Rita, and Jessie are really good people. We enjoyed the time and hunting stories they shared with us. The hog hunt was terrible. We paid for a full day hunt for 3 people and were all but guaranteed 3 hogs. We road around fields all day looking out of the windows for hogs to shoot. While we saw quite a few hogs to shoot, for some reason, they weren't the right ones. We broke for lunch from 11:30 to 3:00 and started riding again. We stalked up on a few groups of hogs, but were told they weren't shooters. As it got dark, we were allowed to shoot at a hog across a field but it was too far and too dark to get a good shot. There was another hunter there that day that also didn't get a shot. I'm sure he was also disapointed. That is 4 unsuccessful paying customers. We flew and drove a long way for this hunt to be so bad. As we were leaving, they didn't even seem sorry that we didn't have a successful hunt. If they were sorry, they didn't say it. Success isn't measured by killing an animal, but by having an oppertunity to kill one. If you don't want to ride around cow pastures looking at cows all day do not do the hog hunt.

Let me start by saying this is not a fair review.
We are sorry you were unsuccessful on the hunt with us and left disappointed. However, there are a few points to clarify.
The other hunter you mentioned that you were “sure left disappointed” has already rebooked for a return trip.
The reason you were not permitted to shoot certain hogs was due to the sows having litters or being pregnant with litters. This is our policy and was clearly explained.
The statement “Success isn't measured by killing an animal, but by having an opportunity to kill one” is correct. However you failed to mention the opportunity’s provided.
Your hunt with us that was “terrible” consisted of three hunters. The morning hunt ended with one hunter shooting and missing a hog so this hunter was provided an “opportunity” to harvest.
The afternoon hunt was split into two hunts with two guides due to one of the remaining hunters deciding on a trophy hog instead of a meat hog. The hunter in which I personally guided on the evening hunt had a clear “opportunity” to harvest a meat hog and passed. This individual stated to me he just really didn’t want to shoot one unless it was huge. This was his decision to pass and this hunter was provided an “opportunity”.
The other two hunters with Jesse both shot at one hog wounding the hog. This hog was lost due to bad shot placement. While the hunt ended without any hunter actually harvesting a hog the comment about the opportunity provided is not a fair one.
Our hunts are fair chase on open lands and are real hunting in spot and stalk situations. We don’t offer guaranteed harvests on our hunts. While the opportunities were limited on this particular hunt they were provided.
Again, I apologize if you are disappointed with your experience with us.

This was my first hunting experience and it couldn't have gone better. The staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived, offered us pre-hunt refreshments as we went over the details.
Our guide, (Jason? Jeremy? sorry, can't remember his name!) was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the animals. He took us through some great spots and even before we were actually hunting we saw some great wildlife sights (deer, hawks, heron, even an otter!)
Once out in the hog field, our guide took our 2 hunters separately to scout out the best meat hog in the area. He was super helpful in helping me find the best shot and it was a perfect kill. Once we got our hogs back to camp, he was quick to help skin, clean, and cut the hogs and let us choose exactly how we wanted it. He was also kind enough to give us some preparation and cooking tips.
The only complaint I have is that it took a lot of contact work to get this hunt set up. They were slow to respond to e-mails and not very helpful. It worked best once we started calling directly and got everything orchestrated.
All in all, great experience and I definitely want to go back again, maybe for turkey next time. Can't wait to eat our hog!

My buddy and I went gator hunting in late April. Neither of us are experienced hunters having never done anything other than shooting dove and quail. Jessie and mark were phenomal. They hunted us pretty hard and I got an 11 foot gator which I thought was pretty big until the next day when my friend killed a 13 foot 900 lb monster.the best part of the trip was riding around in the truck with Jessie and mark. They are hilarious and woul've been worth the trip had we not seen a gator.imagine an unfiltered politically incorrect episode of swamp people.great guys/great time/big gators!

Last Monday 4/24/12 I had one the greatest experiences of my outdoor life, and after six decades afield I've had some fine ones. Guide Jesse Lee and I were out scouting for boar when his usually quiet voice kicked up to LOUD--"Look, look on your right!" Less than 100 yards away the scene was right out of National Geo. A Florida Panther was stretched out running full tilt across the savanna after a boar that was close to 200 lbs. It swatted the hog on the run and rolled it. It hit him so hard it blew his lower GI out his backside! The panther paused when he saw us, and I finally got it together enough to snap a picture. The hog made it to the palmettos, but I'm sure he became cat food that night.
As an outdoor magazine editor, I get to hunt good places from Alaska to Argentina to Australia. I only hunt fair chase. Mark Clemmons has some of the best hunting grounds I've seen anywhere. I'll be back to hunt with Jesse soon. I need to since, after the panther sighting, he put me and my TC smokepole within 40 yards of a nice boar and when the smoke cleared it was plain to see I'd done no harm. Yup, big cats can shake you up some.

We came over to Clewiston from Switzerland to harvest two trophy alligators. The hunt was sucessful with all the excitement we had hoped for. Mark is great guide, dedicated to his clients, with plenty of knowledge of the animals and vegetation of the swamps. Next year we hope to be able to come back for some turkey hunting. Greetings from Europe

Hi guys! My husband and I live in the Keys and would like to go on a hog hunt. I'd like to know some available dates. Also, we have a motorhome and own two dogs. Do you have a place we could park it? The dogs would be fine inside for several hours at a time, so we would like to bring them with us.

Do you have any openings March 11-15 for half day hog hunts?
Written March 1, 2015
is it a controlled area, and approximate cost?
Written February 3, 2015
I'm not sure what you mean by a "controlled area". The hunts take place on ranches, farms and groves on which Everglades Adventures has the hunting rights. The boar (or whatever you are hunting) are wild and not controlled or released for the hunters. That, of course, is what makes it fun! Mark or one of his colleagues will be your guide and assist as needed. With regards to cost, call them and ask: the cost will depend on what you are hunting and the size. For example, a trophy hog will cost more than a meat hog. We have hunted boar and the cost was very reasonable for (a) the fun; (b) the company, and (c) the meat!
